Casa Bella – KeswickJust recently me and my wife visited this new little jem of a restaurant, to find a exciting and varied menu, lovely staff and excellent food, this place has huge potential if it keeps that standard up. A great time was had at very reasonable price.
Siennas Bar and Steakhouse Grill – KeswickAs someone who doesn't 'do' English hotels, this was a first. Having found Graythwaite we've visited 7 times in a year and next week we're back for more! Words cannot describe the atmosphere. It's no wonder famous actors/film makers have visited and returned. This was the most relaxing, friendly, yet out of this world place I have ever encountered in the UK. Just one night and you will be so rested you have to experience it for yourselves! Of course, the food is delicious and the rooms just have to be seen.
Graythwaite Manor Hotel – Grange-over-SandsExcellent coffee, food could do with a bit more inspiration.
Last Resort Coffee Shop – Barrow-in-FurnessFood was very good and came with an interesting side salad. Recommend the apple pie.
Hazelmere Cafe and Bakery – Grange-over-SandsFantastic food, ideal venue for a romantic dinner for two or alternatively a group booking or lunch is good value Monday - Thursdays. Our favourite restaurant at the moment. We can highly recommend it!
Davids – CarlisleWe had a lovely meal at the Tarantella. The food was excellent, the service was very good and the wine was not expensive. We will certainly be visiting there again!
Tarantella Restaurant – CockermouthThe food and the service were very good, and the chips were the best ive tasted for a long time, very fresh! Nice selection of ales. Great location, perfect place to stop off on your walks!
Britannia Inn – AmblesideThe other best restaurant in Keswick - pricey but worth it for that special meal out. Stylish decor, stylish food - but so well done, with excellent service too. A place that deserves its reputation.
Morrels Restaurant – KeswickVery good chinese - and I have plenty of experience of them from Manchester. Book ahead - it gets very busy - but it's worth waiting for. The best restaurant in Keswick, in my opinion. Our second visit and we'll be back whenever we're in the area.
Golden Hills – KeswickA good informal place to go, lovely atmosphere and good service. Don't order too many dishes tho.
Lucy4 Wine Bar and Bistro – AmblesideImaginative menu with beautifully prepared food. The location is good and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The service is excellent and even the meat lovers in our company had to agree that they didn't find anything lacking. We can't wait to go back.
Quince and Medlar – CockermouthIt is a pub, but one with plenty of seating, a cracking menu including a good range and one that will impress. Its expensive for pub food, but this isn’t really pub food, its better, so its worth it.
Kirkstile Inn – CockermouthAs a family we were able to choose from the bar menu and a la cartwith a choice of seating either in the restaurant or lounge bar. Any queries with the menu were answered by the waiting on staff and we were able to amend the ingredients. The service was fast and only on one occasion did we have to book for the restaurant as the hotel was fully booked with coach tours. The entertainment throughout our week stay consisted of session singers in lounge bar and Karaoke in the public bar on Friday and Saturday although this was a little load although a fun evening was enjoyed.
Seacote Hotel – St BeesThe old Arcadian restaurant is a family friendly with exceptional food. When we go to Carlisle we tend to go there for dinner. I would recommend it to anyone who asks me what is like.
Cavern Bar – CarlisleI live about 40 miles away from the Bay horse but I have eaten here about 10 times over the last few years. Have had various meals and have yet to be disappointed. The staff are friendly the helpings are generous and cooked well and the price is cheap. Recommended.
Bay Horse – Barrow-in-FurnessMy husband and I eat our best Thai meal at the Jintana. Food presentation was excellent and the most tastiest thai meal we've ever had. The restaurant was well decorated to a very high standard and there was a very comfortable and friendly atmosphere. I just wanted to write to recommend the restaurant to anyone who loves thai food, especially hot and spicey!!! enjoy!!
