Farmers Arms – UlverstonGreat food and good service.
Kings Arms – UlverstonAbsolutely great, and the risotto was one of the best I have ever had.
Farmers Arms – UlverstonExcellent Sunday lunch. We were a party of 8 choosing 4 different meals and they were all very good. Wonderful Basque cheesecake to follow. And great atmosphere.
Farmers Arms – UlverstonGood food lovely atmosphere could do with a special in addition to the regular menu And some vegetable / salad sides . Fantastic cakes and deserts . Good value for money
Farmers Arms – UlverstonFantastic pub, really loved our delicious burger and the beer was great Can’t fault it and would highly recommend
Farmers Arms – UlverstonNice pub and ok atmosphere for a Saturday afternoon. Didn't want a big stodgy meal so opted for a chicken Caesar salad, just as well I didn't want a big meal as this had about 10 baby gem leaves a few slithers of parmesan cheese, 8 small pieces of chicken and 6 croutons. For the price pretty shocking.
Kings Arms – UlverstonWe have been for both lunch and Sunday roasts, and both were delicious. Really flavoursome food and a cosy, quirky vibe! I would love the roasts to be slightly bigger, as my only feedback. Lots of meat but I love lots of roast potatoes, even if you could buy extra as a side. I would highly recommend the spicy sausage rolls too!
Farmers Arms – UlverstonWhat a superb place. Great food and service, a very interesting historical building. The bar staff were excellent and engaged with us. The pottery and workshop were a very valuable addition. Would thoroughly recommend.
Farmers Arms – UlverstonHave been several times over the years for evening meals, always a bit quirky and disorganised but overlooked by great food, including local vegetables and an interesting menu. Always hoped they would get their act together with not running out of menu options etc. However this last time was a massive disappointment. The wine and beer were poor quality virtually undrinkable . The menu was very limited and 4 dishes had run out giving us very little choice. There were no locally grown vegetables with the meals only green beans which had to be ordered as a side. The food was uninspiring and the whole evening turned out to be an expensive mistake. It needs to be more organised, improved quality of wine available, improve the menu needs to be more original with more variety and to not run out of dishes.
Farmers Arms – UlverstonThis pub is a hidden gem in a truly beautiful part of the Lake District. The food, beer, welcome and service are all perfect. A friendly and comfortable pub, welcoming locals and people further afield, like us, the Farmers Arms deserves to be well known. Go on a Thursday night for brilliant pizzas and amazing home made cakes!
Farmers Arms – UlverstonThe team were so accommodating when half our party of 18 were stuck in the A590 traffic. Food was great, thank you!
Kings Arms – UlverstonWe are regulars in the cafe and always enjoy the tasty lunches and relaxing atmosphere. Having tried a few evening meals, we're now taking friends and family when they're visiting. Can't stay away! The food is so fresh, locally sourced and imaginatively prepared
Farmers Arms – UlverstonBeen a few times :- Good friendly atmosphere , lovely helpful staff , tasty pizzas & chips and some good music various musicians on different occasions . Occasionally have to wait a while but worth it . Its best to book on an evening . The cheesecake is excellent
Farmers Arms – UlverstonWhat an unusual and great place. Had pizzas and wish we could come another time to sample rest of menus , but we live in Yorkshire!
Farmers Arms – Ulverston5 of us had a very good evening at the Farmers Arms. The food was excellent. The venison was off the menu, but we had the added bonus of live music which was unexpected.
Farmers Arms – UlverstonWe have been twice. On the first occasion someone else had sat on our reserved table, so they moved us to a different one. They food was great and the waitresses friendly. On the second occasion we arrived to find they had reserved us a table that was far too small to accomodate us (a table with 2 chairs when we had booked for 5 people…). They then moved us into the cold cafe area, far from the live music and the bar. They were very busy, so the food took a long, long time, then came out in dribs and drabs, half cold. Finally, we were told they were too busy to make hot drinks - so no coffee for us after our meal in the cold cafe. Very disappointing.
Farmers Arms – UlverstonLovely food and well presented. A very nice menu and comfortable interior. Staff very friendly and dogs welcome. The honesty shop is a quirky interesting feature. A very nice country pub indeed. Would recommend. Only critique would be that the opening hours are limited.
