As a group of 6 people who regularly eat hear, we can't fault it. It is a no nonsense, down to earth eating house with good food and great staff. I think this is a well kept secret. Don't expect frills and fancies. Chris (proprietor) does fantastic steaks. Matured and prepared to order. Ask for a kebab, you will be surprised (gastronomically)

Headlam Hall Hotel – DarlingtonWe have eaten here on two separate occasions, booking is definiately recommended as it is a very popular local venue. On both occasions the food was to a very high standard and we thorough enjoyed ourselves. Try the Lamb Henry it is superb.
