Excellent unexpected find in a charming village. Imaginative menu well cooked and presented. Peter is a real character and makes you feel very welcome. We will definitely be back.

Frenchs of Chulmleigh – ChulmleighI had an excellent meal here. The best vegetarian meal for miles.
Willand Restaurant – ExeterWe came in for lunch and as they were quiet, we were offered a private dining room at no extra cost. we sat looking over a small garden and fountain with a log fire burning. We felt like celebrities. We were looked after by a manic French lady who was the perfect host. we loved it...it's our new haunt!!
Hotel Endsleigh – TavistockAs a person who is fed up with all these generic italian restaurants that seem to be cropping up all the time, it was a nice treat when my family and I visit the Positano two weeks ago. This authentic italian restaurant offered a vast menu to chose from and the service was extremely friendly and child friendly. This restaurant is a real gem in plymouth!
Positano – PlymouthSmall but very cosy, the food is expertly prepared and tastes fantastic, yet to find a better Indian restaurant in Plymouth
Spice Well – Plymouthwe visit this restaurant during the Folk festival week and other times when we are in Sidmouth. The staff are very welcoming and obliging and they make a superb pavlova. They even gave us black sacks to sit on during one damp folk festival.
Chattery, The – SidmouthWe had our wedding here in June, the hotel was superb, the service was great, the food lovely and the whole place very relaxed, like a large family house - highly recommended
Yeoldon Country House Hotel – BidefordOn every visit the food is excellent, well thought out. The head-chef captures the essence of pub dining with the flair and sophistication of fine dining. The beer is not half-bad either, although a varied range would be better.
Church House Inn – Kingsbridgeloved it ...a real treat..would come again very soon
Cruwys Arms The – TivertonHad planned for a Chinese meal down the road, but decided to try Lorenzo? instead. The Chilli Beef Tacos was nice and went down well with the house red. Spanish Tapas (combo) for two was a bit disappointing, because four out of the 6 tapas servings were from a jar. Will visit again though but skip the Spanish Tapas combo next time.
Lorenzo – PlymouthThis is my local and has had its ups and downs. At present it is having an UP period. The landlord has been in some time now and has improved the decor and general look of the place. He has a good chef and the prices are reasonable. On his site you can see the current menu, chef's specials and make a booking. We use the restaurant regularly, for just a night out and for celebrations.
Port Royal Inn – Exeterfantastic food, probably the best steak i have ever eaten!!! friends we were with had a king Arthurs Feast and it was just that. Will def be back next time i am in Torquay
Camelot Medieval Restaurant – TorquayI found this restaurant to be laid back and somewhat informal which worked perfectly with it's relaxed friendly staff and BYO policy. The food was amazing. I went for the 3 courses from £15 menu and had the scallops, Parma Chicken (delicious) followed by the chocolate fondant which I was told is their most popular dessert. It was lovely. An overall very enjoyable evening.
B.E.D! – Plymouthon my visit I found it above average for a wetherspoons it even has its own ale, issacs tipple, wortha look if your in paignton
Isaac Merritt – PaigntonI love sea food and was spoilt for choice. I choose Mussels to start followed by Sea Bass for my main. I'm afraid that I didn't have room for dessert! The quality and quantity will keep me as a very happy regular customer.
La Scala – PaigntonWe have the set 3 course lunch whenever we shop in England (we're from Cornwall!!). Excellent unpretentious friendly restaurant. Nice mixture of Greek food and traditional English fare. Service is friendly and professional
Zeus – PlymouthI see all recommendations are dated 2006. Went there in January 2007 and have to agree with all previous comments. We shall be going again, soon.
