Cafe Rouge – PlymouthI love Cafe Rouge-the food is delicious, the portions are not so big that you cannot fit in dessert and a boozy coffee without sacrificing your starter (a tragedy!), and the atmosphere is relaxed and informal. There are a nice variety of wines to choose from, and I have never ordered a bottle I have not thoroughly enjoyed. The Cafe Rouge in Exeter has a better ambience as the decor is a little nicer, and there are lots of secluded tables if you want a little privacy. However, the service in Plymouth is far superior-the food is served faster without compromising on quality, and the staff are really polite and helpful (especially the waiter with the red hair!). Once, when our first course was a little bit slow in coming we were given some yummy bread sticks covered in garlic butter to keep us going! My favourite dishes on the menu are crab cakes (starter)and cassolet (main course).
Cafe Rouge – PlymouthFirst rate evening out. Hosts are amiable and food is inventive and original. It is not a cheap place to eat, but it is good value and the whole experience is worth every penny. Staff are knowledgeable and interested. You won't be disappointed.
Galley Fish Restaurant With Rooms – Topshamthe one thing that struck me most about starz is how friendly the waiting staff are. they always have a smile on their faces and do go out of the way to make you feel special, and nothing is ti much trouble for them. thge floor manger even came over personally and spoke to us. plkus the food is fantastic, cocktails to die for and you always have a party there. thanks guys. a welcome additon to exeter
Starz Bar and Restaurant – ExeterAlthough not exactly on the beaten track, this is well worth the effort to find.. a good choice for both carnivores and veggies too! very amenable to your dietary needs. you have to go there!!
Elizabethan Inn – Newton Abbotexcellent food, huge portions, don't bother with a starter or desert! .nice staff - very sincere. Would go again but book well in advance as is always busy especially Wednesday onwards.
Starz Bar and Restaurant – ExeterI have dined at La Petite Maison on numerious occassions and found the standard of food and service to be quite exceptional. It is always some where that I introduce friends to and they usually request to be takenthere again. High compliments I think!!
La Petite Maison – TopshamThe Double Locks has been a great place to eat in relaxed outdoor or bustling indoor setting for years but of late the food has gone from being interesting, moderately priced and well cooked to being hurriedly prepared and poor value for money but we were there on a Bank Holiday! I hear from others that the standard varies with the cook on duty so you may be lucky! Still a great ambience and location with a great choice of well kept beers.
Double Locks – ExeterExcellent 10 out of 10
Ashburton Arms – Kingsbridgei was very impressed with the quality of service at this restaurant. The cocktails were delicious and the delicacy of their construction was enticing to watch! i thoroughly enjoy every evening i spend at this bar, a must for all interested in good food and funky drinks!
Starz Bar and Restaurant – ExeterOutstanding wine list. Food also exceptionally good. Very nice atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a try.
Olive Tree Restaurant – ExeterHave been several times and never been disappointed. An excellent restaurant, in my opinion the best in Exeter.
Conservatory The – ExeterI've been to Starz a few times now and each time i've come away totally satisfied with the experience having had a wicked time. The food is excellent, huge portions and well worth the money, and the cocktails were brilliant. The staff have alwyas been very friendly and helpful and I can't wait to go back!!
Starz Bar and Restaurant – ExeterStarz Bar & Restaurant is a welcomed addition to Exeter. It offers the best of American cuisine: unapologetically large portions in a versatile menu reflecting the culinary melting pot of the USA. I started with the Buffalo wings and shortly wished I hadn't had a starter when greated with the American Style Baby Back Ribs which were the length of my hand and forearm (only £10.50!!!) accompanied with spirals and vegetables. Another positive feature is their long cocktail list where cocktails were freshly made by exceptionally friendly bar staff specialising in classic cocktails despite regional origin and their originals. Another feature is the cocktail staff have their own specialties. As a student, I was welcomed by their staff who do go out of their way to ensure I had a great evening. It is perfect for occasions such as birthdays, hen-parties etc. I would recommend it to anyone and as a new restaurant the future for Starz looks bright.
Starz Bar and Restaurant – ExeterGreat place to eat!! Huge variety to suit every taste.

Thai House The – PlymouthNice place, and friendly service. Food is good but not the best I'v had... Good variety.
Ganges – PlymouthJust an update to what I have previously submitted...They owners have now changed, I havn't visited the restaurant since but I hear that they now have a coffee seating area and there has been a few changes in the menu but apart from that it is still very recommended. Stay tuned for more updates.
