We get takeaways from here at least once a week but occasionally eat in. The vegetable side dishes are our favourites, and the chicken tikka rogon is very tasty.

Gandhi Indian Cuisine The – ExeterThe food here is marvelous, deliciously home-cooked and at very affordable prices. The menu itself is quite small, however they have daily specials on the chalk board to suit all tastes (lamb tagine, fish pie, hotpot etc), and are all keenly priced. The cod, chips and mushy peas is huge and costs less than £6!
Boringdon Arms – Plymouthgreat super outstanding hotel lovely food .
Deer Park Hotel – HonitonWell worth it. The most attentive restaurant I have been to in a long time! I hope other restaurateurs learn from a place like this
Fullam Chinese Restaurant – BarnstapleNow under new owners and what was a good establishment is now very good. The standard of food and service has improved and I feel that this might be due to the fact that the staff are enjoying life better under the new owners. I await with baited breath to see if they might turn the cellar into a wonderful wine bar using some of Rogers expertise.
Olive Tree Restaurant – ExeterTook friends to this restaurant and had a really delightful time. Gordon and staff cooked what can only be described as a dream meal. Liz and staff complimented everything by excellent service. The comments by my guests on leaving were "That was the best meal they have had in this country" and I do not doubt it.
La Petite Maison – TopshamThree of us just spent the weekend at the Bearslake, and came away feeling sad we were going back to the real world. The place is full of old world charm, comfort, good food, ale & wine. All served up by a family that have been obviously born with the 'friendly' gene! Evening meals were plentiful and tasty and everything freshly cooked - the menu appears to change daily depending on what is available. Breakfast is delicious with proper fried bread (not the greasy deep fried stuff you quite often get). The rooms where very cosy and comfortable and we really felt welcome. The owners always found time to chat with a smile and couldn't do enough for us. Defintely want to go back!
Bearslake Inn – OkehamptonSince the new management took over in Spring 2004, our former favourite restaurant has become our favourite once again! The best little bar in North Devon, coupled with superb and imaginative food and an intimate, candlelit atmosphere. We love it.
Jalapeno Peppers – BarnstapleGo and try the Pizza now! Go on; get up from your seat and go! This is the perfect place for group bookings! Pizza dominates the menu, but that? all you need really! Wonderful atmosphere for a kid? party right up to a works leaving do! Can't go wrong!
Waterfront, The – ExeterThe big sheep is a family park and their restaurants in the play area. There is a good variety of food at good prices. You can let your kids play while you order and then when it is ready they come down to a tasty dinner or lunch. However the tea and coffee taste a little of hotdogs. The service was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was buzzing.
Big Sheep The – BidefordWhat can I say? The family and I went, very good food, the staff are very friendly I can? say anymore. Alan Parker
Mutley Spice – PlymouthIt? hard to believe that anywhere outside of Thailand can offer such incredibly delicious food accompanied by a genuine friendly service. It puts all the other Thai restaurants I have tried to shame.
Thai House The – PlymouthWe went for a meal at the Thai Orchid recently and were very impressed. The food was well presented with a huge choice of authentic dishes etc. The restaurant itself is authentically decorated and has a very pleasant ambience. We enjoyed our meal and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
Thai Orchid Restaurant – Exeterfantastic food in a beautiful location will not go anywhere else when i go on holiday to Devon. Highly recommended.
Anchor Inn – ExeterThis restaurant was very lively. Food was of high quality and service was really good. I was impressed with the menu that was a diverse "TEX MEX" selection. My personal opinion is that the menu was superb a must visit!
Arribas – PlymouthExcellent food in a nice restaurant overlooking the huge garden at the back of the pub.The garden is ideal if you have children because there is a large safe area for them and there are lots of playthings for them also there are some guinea pigs iin a large cage to look at. the view is outstanding looking out over the hills. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent.
