Anchor Inn – ExeterThis restaurant was very lively. Food was of high quality and service was really good. I was impressed with the menu that was a diverse "TEX MEX" selection. My personal opinion is that the menu was superb a must visit!
Arribas – PlymouthExcellent food in a nice restaurant overlooking the huge garden at the back of the pub.The garden is ideal if you have children because there is a large safe area for them and there are lots of playthings for them also there are some guinea pigs iin a large cage to look at. the view is outstanding looking out over the hills. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent.
Kings Arms The – SeatonA tiny vegetarian and vegan restaurant in the heart of Exeter which means it gets packed, especially at lunch time. Great choice of healthy and tasty recipes from around the world, good sized portions, good value and a relaxed atmosphere
Herbies Whole Food Restaurants – ExeterIt was a friday night and it was quite busy but still i was satisfied by the way i was treated
Crediton Tandoori Restaurant and TakeAway – CreditonNow in new hands-August 2004 The food and beer is much better than the style of building. well worth a visit. With Dominique's cooking you will not go hungry!
Avon Inn The – South BrentThis restaurant is outstanding in every department and have enjoyed each time i visit. Has an authentic vibrant mexican atmosphere and the girl with the glasses (name?? sorry) is a delight to be served by. The enchilladas are delicious. Highly recommended.
Mexican, The – ExeterThe best fish and chips I have ever tasted. However the restaurant needs some updating as unfortunately they have tried to retain some traditionalism with the decor and the waiters uniforms etc. I believe that Harry Ramsden's should look at changing their overall appearence. The waiters uniforms for example are rather over the top and could be changed to something more appropriate. It can be swealtering due to the lack of a/c. The food was first class as was the service but that should be expected for the amount charged in all honesty.
Harry Ramsdens – ExeterSuperb food served in a friendly efficient manner. Have been now several times and will go again
Clarence Hotel The – PlymouthThis little place has plenty of character and is tuckedaway in the Barbican. I thought the food was really tasty for an indian meal without it being your usual overpowering tastebud destroying curry. They know how to make their curries a little more refined. The portions were just right and the some of the staff were shy but friendly non the less. I swear I saw a Sherpa lurking around when I was in there last. Go here if you fancy going out for dinner with friends where you can hear yourselves talk.
Himalayan Spice – PlymouthIf you want chinese food then definately come here. There are lots of good value set menus to choose from, delicious dishes served sizzling hot. Its a great place to go when you fancy something nice to eat whilst shopping in town. If you are more adventurous then you could ask for the chinese menu which I'm sure one of the staff could help recommend something to tantalise you tastebuds. It also seems popular with the oriental community too and they love their food!
Ocean Palace – PlymouthThis is one superb little Thai restaurant. It did not take too long before the food arrived and when it did, it was delicious. They have such a good menu its hard to decide. If you like fish then go for the whole thai fish dish, it was so tasty and disappeared very quickly. Its a small restaurant so booking is advised. We went as a four but its ideal to go as a couple as its cosy and warm.
Thai House The – PlymouthThis bistro really does source local ingredients. Very light touch with pastry - especially cheescake. Seasonal produce. A generally high standard - and very popular. Only open Fri/Sat nights. Local wines
Toucan – TivertonVegetarians and vegans alike will be spoilt for choice here. In fact, when in Plymouth, I never eat anywhere else. The food is imaginative and beautifully prepared and I am gradually working my way through the menu! Unmissable, in my opinion.
Veggie Perrins – PlymouthYou have to go!! even got to see James Tanner himself, in the flesh!! that besides, the food is always fab, and service attentive, We sat in the courtyard at lunch, and not even the rain could dampen our spirits! The puddings are to die for!! especially the chocolate mousse...mmmmmm!
Tanners Restaurant – PlymouthThe service here is always excellent. The food is good too. Worth a visit
Eastern Eye – PlymouthVery good food and serivce and amazingly cheap. Makes a good change from convential Indian Food. The jokey name of the restaurant sadly doesn't do it justice. It's much much better than it sounds.
Veggie Perrins – PlymouthAs always the food was excellent. Only problem is that my wife will not eat anywhere else. It's that good!!!!!
