Quayside Restaurant – BrixhamExcellent service. Lovely food. Stunning views. Will go there a lot.
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthMy wife and I had a lovely meal at the Quayside Hotel restaurant. The service was very good, the restaurant was well furnished and cosy and the food well prepared. It was an unexpected pleasure to find such a civilised place whilst on holiday. I would happily return when next in Brixham.
Quayside Restaurant – BrixhamWe were in Plymouth for the day and decided to have lunch at Maritimo. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The food was more than delicious, the service was great and the views were absolutely beautiful. We'll definitely be recommending to friends and returning throughout the year.
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthThe Quayside Hotel is our Favourite place for evening meal. Food quality in terms of flavours and presentation is outstanding. Even as non residents, been allowed to take our after dinner coffee in the hotels comfortable lounge is a wonderful bonus, (as opposed to drinking it the table) You will not be disappointed if you dine at the Quayside Hotel.
Quayside Restaurant – BrixhamTerrible food, terrine was bits of meat on a plate, scallops so small, hake was ok, steak asked for medium rare it was cremated, lad who served was lovely, was sold bottle of wine to be able to take in ‘their’ bar after, walked in the bar to be greeted by a very rude bar member saying we could not drink it in there, my partner was going to order a lager we had paid for the bottle of wine, perhaps there been only us in there was a sign
Quayside Restaurant – BrixhamWebsite undersells this somewhat. The dining room nicely furnished and bright - website shows the bar . Excellent quality food, competitively priced. Relaxed service. We ate at 1800 hrs Sunday so the room was quite (no complaints there) Around £60 for two main meals, two puddings and drinks. All staff cheerful and ready to help.
Quayside Restaurant – BrixhamSuper lovely waitresses
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthExcellent service, great food and good value for money. Always a great place to enjoy a meal and take in the view rain or shine. It’s local for us but we always feel like we are on holiday when we eat here. Thank you.
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthWe love having lunch at Maritimos. Sitting on the terrace in the sunshine looking out over the sea with the most delicious tapas and a jug of refreshing sangria. Life doesn’t get much better. The staff are all friendly and the service was great!
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthGreat meal - usual favourites (prawn cocktail, scallops, scampi, mussels) but all done very well. Excellent service.
Quayside Restaurant – BrixhamA lovely tasty meal sat out side but for the third time now the menu was much shorter than advertised as there were issues in the kitchen. seems to be a recurring theme and this limited the choice somewhat. Also bread overpriced, five little pieces of bread with a bowl of oil and vinegar for 3.95?? That said we enjoyed our meal, staff were very pleasant, we weren't rushed and it was tasty.
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthLovely day for some tapas with the family, booked a table for 6 of us and got a lovely spot on the balcony, beside a few items out of stock including the paella which is the main meal we come here for, the good was very good as always, nice calamari, scallops, the chorizo in sticky honey sauce were excellent, and the sangria was going down well. Unfortunately we couldn't get desserts due to "chef issues" which was a shame.
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – Plymouth3 nights in Brixham and we wasted one eating here when so many decent restaurants are closeby. Chosen on the basis of reviews and what they purported to do with lots of local fresh fish etc! Be prepared to be disappointed, it does not live up to the hype! Very very expensive for what was dished up. Despite being in this location the scallops were clearly frozen and poorly cooked. The bream was a well cooked piece of fish but served with a totally inappropriate plateful of poorly cooked flavourless mixed vegetables. I could not believe that our bill was £1 more than the excellent meal we had enjoyed the night before. The staff were pleasant and friendly but lacked training. I am sorry but where all those good reviews come from I have no idea. Friends perhaps!
Quayside Restaurant – BrixhamBeautiful food, wonderful location and always good service. We have eaten here a handful of times, both pre and post Covid. The restaurant is built into the cliffs of Plymouth Hoe so is only accessible via some fairly steep stairs, this makes it unsuitable for wheelchair users or prams etc. The food is always absolutely delicious, although we are vegetarian we still find there is a good option of foods although a bigger selection would be appreciated. Portion sizes are what you would expect from tapas, it’s on the more expensive side though because you do really need at least four dishes each if you want a satisfying and filling meal. They have a nice drinks selection including good wines and a great range of cocktails and spirits. All in all this is a lovely place to come and eat, the views over the sound are some of the best to be found in the U.K. and we’ve always found the service to be good, friendly and helpful.
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthWe enjoyed an absolutely fabulous tapas lunch yesterday. The service was very good and the food was amazing. Only downside was the accessibility for me but I managed the stairs eventually!. Highly recommended
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthGreat, friendly service. All the staff were really accomodating and helpful. The food is absolutely amazing - especially the seafood dishes. Highly recommended!
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthI have now visited Maritimo 3 times since starting work here in Plymouth. Each time the welcome, service and food has been excellent. Just prior to the easing of restrictions I had a table booked for the Saturday and the weather was due to be terrible. The restaurant even phoned me in the morning to check I was still going, which I did. The weather was bad but it didn't dampen the atmosphere or the friendliness of the staff and the terrace was still full I highly recommend Maritimo it is now one of my go to places to eat in Plymouth
