Great meal - usual favourites (prawn cocktail, scallops, scampi, mussels) but all done very well. Excellent service.

Great meal - usual favourites (prawn cocktail, scallops, scampi, mussels) but all done very well. Excellent service.
Quayside Restaurant – BrixhamA lovely tasty meal sat out side but for the third time now the menu was much shorter than advertised as there were issues in the kitchen. seems to be a recurring theme and this limited the choice somewhat. Also bread overpriced, five little pieces of bread with a bowl of oil and vinegar for 3.95?? That said we enjoyed our meal, staff were very pleasant, we weren't rushed and it was tasty.
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthLovely day for some tapas with the family, booked a table for 6 of us and got a lovely spot on the balcony, beside a few items out of stock including the paella which is the main meal we come here for, the good was very good as always, nice calamari, scallops, the chorizo in sticky honey sauce were excellent, and the sangria was going down well. Unfortunately we couldn't get desserts due to "chef issues" which was a shame.
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – Plymouth3 nights in Brixham and we wasted one eating here when so many decent restaurants are closeby. Chosen on the basis of reviews and what they purported to do with lots of local fresh fish etc! Be prepared to be disappointed, it does not live up to the hype! Very very expensive for what was dished up. Despite being in this location the scallops were clearly frozen and poorly cooked. The bream was a well cooked piece of fish but served with a totally inappropriate plateful of poorly cooked flavourless mixed vegetables. I could not believe that our bill was £1 more than the excellent meal we had enjoyed the night before. The staff were pleasant and friendly but lacked training. I am sorry but where all those good reviews come from I have no idea. Friends perhaps!
Quayside Restaurant – BrixhamBeautiful food, wonderful location and always good service. We have eaten here a handful of times, both pre and post Covid. The restaurant is built into the cliffs of Plymouth Hoe so is only accessible via some fairly steep stairs, this makes it unsuitable for wheelchair users or prams etc. The food is always absolutely delicious, although we are vegetarian we still find there is a good option of foods although a bigger selection would be appreciated. Portion sizes are what you would expect from tapas, it’s on the more expensive side though because you do really need at least four dishes each if you want a satisfying and filling meal. They have a nice drinks selection including good wines and a great range of cocktails and spirits. All in all this is a lovely place to come and eat, the views over the sound are some of the best to be found in the U.K. and we’ve always found the service to be good, friendly and helpful.
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthWe enjoyed an absolutely fabulous tapas lunch yesterday. The service was very good and the food was amazing. Only downside was the accessibility for me but I managed the stairs eventually!. Highly recommended
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthGreat, friendly service. All the staff were really accomodating and helpful. The food is absolutely amazing - especially the seafood dishes. Highly recommended!
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthI have now visited Maritimo 3 times since starting work here in Plymouth. Each time the welcome, service and food has been excellent. Just prior to the easing of restrictions I had a table booked for the Saturday and the weather was due to be terrible. The restaurant even phoned me in the morning to check I was still going, which I did. The weather was bad but it didn't dampen the atmosphere or the friendliness of the staff and the terrace was still full I highly recommend Maritimo it is now one of my go to places to eat in Plymouth
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthLovely food , tastefully presented and served by friendly staff.
Quayside Restaurant – BrixhamOur first get together since lockdown and what a lovely day we had the food was lovely very good value and quality. Service was extremely good staff very pleasant and efficient. Added to all this the weather was gorgeous which made the day even more enjoyable the view is something else all in all I would certainly recommend a visit here and we shall be returning.
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthSuch a lovely evening. Friendly staff, great food, beautiful setting.
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthGreat location, lovely food and great service. We had three courses, a bottle of wine and another drink each and the bill came to under £100 for a couple. Great value in my view.
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthThe setting was superb, the food gorgeous, the staff attentive (without being overpowering) and the atmosphere Mediterranean. Only downside was the 2 slices of bread provided to mop up the wonderful sauces, when asked for more, plenty came with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and a price of £3.95!
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthWe spent a lovely few hours at Maritimo for my mum's birthday. The food was fantastic as always. And service was also great. Such a beautiful spot and a fabulous restaurant. I have never been disappointed on any visit.
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthThis is a seriously good restaurant with stunning views, wonderful staff who are very attentive and the best tapas this side of heaven. It's also very reasonably priced and I can't recommend this place enough.
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthSecond time at maritimo and both have been lovely experiences. This time was during Covid restrictions where everything was clear but still very relaxing. The food incredible and such good value. Staff friendly and helpful. The view speaks for itself!
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthAmazing food with perfect service . Couldn’t of asked for better. The food was perfectly cook and so tasty , social distancing and Covid rules were all very well organised as well. Great value for money. Can’t wait to come back .
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthVisited on Friday 16th April for lunch....all COVID-19 protocols were observed by the staff who ensured all tables and furniture were given a thorough clean once tables were vacated. The food was excellent, both in terms of quality and choice. Not too long a wait for the food and it arrived hot and nicely presented. We enjoyed every dish and the service was superb. Maritimo is a favourite of ours and we will be back soon.
