Route 303 – HonitonWhat a lovely surprise. Went there for Sunday lunch with a relative from Paignton who has not been there previously. The owners/hosts were so pleasant and lovely. The food really was excellent. To live so closeby and although we had previously heard good comments but not to have visited we should be feeling very guilty. See you again soon with a bunch of our friends and I will give them a surprise not to be forgotten. Thank you
Castle Barton – PaigntonVisited on consecutive nights between Christmas and new year as I was so impressed with the first visit. An extensive menu with varying specials I selected pork loin served with lyonnaise potatoes, succulent tasty pork and the lyonnaise is a difficult dish often bland but they have it mastered here, as good as any michelin starred west end restaurant. The icing on the cake, (the homemade sweets are delicious) hmm it's between the fabulously kept ales and the very efficient smiling staff, whatever it is, they have a winning formula here.Happy to report that the pool table has gone replaced by yet more dining tables. The way they are going they will need to extend...
Hele Billys – IlfracombeHad a lovely meal at this restaurant before Christmas. Lovely menu ingredients all fresh

Doyles Restaurant at Woolacombe Bay Hotel – WoolacombeI have to say that I havent been for to the Mahabharat in nearly 5 years and we went back last sunday I realised why I dont go there...... There was no atmosphere, the staff weren't friendly nothing was offered, just are order taken. When we asked why we hadn't been asked if we wanted anything extra they didnt take any notice and ignored us.....so in the end we got up and walked out this will be the last time we go to this restaurant again..... what they seem to fail to realise its the locals who keep them going in the winter and they now have lost 2 locals and alot of my friends.
Mahabharat – Kingsbridgejust had the most amazing meal! Halloumi for starters lemon sole for mains the best I have ever eaten...My boyfriend had crab and dover sole, equally as good. Service friendly and efficient, price reasonable. Would recommend to all
