I visited this restaurant while I was on holiday with friends. I thought it was lovely. The staff were very attentive. It is a long way to travel from Surrey.

Jethros – OkehamptonWent here for an 18th birthday and couldn't believe the excellent service and how good the food was. The cost was brilliant , we only paid £130 for 7 adults and that was for food and drink. The meals were massive! Excellent quality and quantity for money. Will definitely be recommending this place to all friends etc. and will be visiting again ourselves.
Route 303 – HonitonGreat place, food and service - two things:- you dont need the beatles and play some proper country music please, then you got it right !
Route 303 – HonitonWell, what can I say. I got a lovely surprise. Last time we passed through it was the Newcot cheif. We were greeted by a very nice and friendly young man that made us feel more than welcome and infact couldn't do enough for us. We were then served (today) on our way home by a very lovely waitress with the same attitude and very nervous as it was her first day. We ordered a breakfast and as I am allergic to eggs I asked if i could have something else instead, she was more than helpful which is more than i can say for what come next... i was disgusted and felt like walking out. The food was brought out and i have to say was absolutely fantastic in every way but the manager told me that the waitress had made a mistake by offering me mushrooms as a substitute and not to ask for it again as i wouldn't get it and walked off!!!!!!!. I dread to think what the poor waitress was told on her first day...really feel for her. I suggest as I am in the industry that person is sent on a communication and people skills course as i will be reluctant with that kind of attitude to members of staff and the public to return
Route 303 – HonitonAfter our first visit on the way home from a classic car show we called into the 303. BOY! What a great place.......the staff..the food......and the atmosphere was first class.! Route 303 – HonitonWon't be going here again. Been a few times and it seemed ok but last time had duck and was ill from the early hours of the following day for a week - had eaten nothing else that day so it could not have been from anywhere else. Also a friend went there the same week and walked out after being served raw chicken! Not good
Raj Pott Indian Restaurant & Takeaway – OkehamptonWe live locally and have always choosen the Flintlock for the odd meal out when too late home to cook, friends and family visiting, birthdays and anniversaries, never disappointed, always fun to look at the different menu boards, always something different to try.
The Flintlock Inn – HonitonDear Sir, visited restaurant on Saturday 5th May 1015hrs. Noticed new decor, lay out and toilets. All of which was great. Unfortunately the service had deteriorated. We use this stop 4 times a year, going to and from holiday, and have recommended to many friends. Usually, as soon as you are seated, there is someone there to take order for tea/coffee while we peruse the menu. This sis not happen and we waited for someone to take the complete order. There did not seem to be enough staff on duty and what there was were very busy. We Ordered, The Eastcoast, the sausage, eggs, hash browns were lukewarm/cold and the fried bread was greasy but not cooked through. My wife had the 4 pancakes, which were cold. On leaving my mentioned about the pancakes so we were given refund on them, which we thank you. On Saturday 19th at 0828 we returned, on the way home and decided on the Santa Monica. The toast was cold and the orange juice tasted watered down, this may have been that it had been over-chilled and Ice have formed in the juice which when melting, gave the impression on being diluted. I thought that I should bring it to your attention in the hope that improvements will be made. We have visited this establishment since 1986 so have regarded this as part of our holiday experience. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. David Goodfellow

Route 303 – Honitonafter searching for a very long time for somewhere to take my fiance and 5 month old daughter for Sunday lunch we finally found the swan inn in sidmouth, when we went in after about 5 minutes i was approached by a member of staff and told that i would have to leave straight away as my daughter was not over 14 and also that they had stopped serving food!! even though there were people just being given there food! i WILL NOT be returning here as the staff were rude, the place is NOT CHILD FRIENDLY and they stopped serving at 2pm "apparently"!!
Swan Inn – Sidmouthafter searching for hours to find somewhere to have sunday luch with my fiance and 5 month old daughter and being turned away from somewhere because of the age of my child we came across this pub, i went in to ask if they were still serving and weather my daughter would be aloud in and i was greeted by a very nice member of staff who assured me that yes they were still serving. i had the sausage trio with creamed potato, garden peas and onion gravey where as my fiance had the fish trio with fresh garden vegatables and new potatoes. we both really loved our food and would definitely come back again. the staff were very friendly, the food was lovely, the prices were reasonable but i guess if i had to have one down side i would say that the portions could have been a little larger but all in all a very enjoyable meal. A
