Ate here in May 08, on recommendation of our bed and breakfast accom. Delicious food, individually prepared, within a pub atmosphere., but not pub prices. However, you always pay more for quality food.

Hart Inn The – BidefordA really enjoyable atmosphere and great great food. Crispy duck to die for! We will definitely returning when on holiday next. Great off street parking too.
Yum Sing Cantonese Restaurant – TorquayVery surprisingly the worst Chilli I have tasted - tried vegetarian and meat versions and neither of them very nice. My dinner guests enjoyed their different meals.
Mexican, The – ExeterWow.......What a find. This restaurant is good in everything it does. Good food, good service and good prices. You don't feel as if you have to whisper or sit up straight but the food is as good as, if not better than, the place in Exeter that you do. Well done. The desserts deserve a special mention...really yummy.
Conservatory The – ExeterI was looking on this website for somewhere to eat whilst on holiday this spring and found Jalapenos. We had a nice meal and especially enjoyed the fresh cocktails! Service was great and we will return on our next visit to North Devon for some more chillis!
Jalapeno Peppers – BarnstapleAs a lover of Indian food, we are always looking for new and different places to try. Taj Mahal is honestly the best Indian restaurant that we have ever eaten in or taken away from. They have a large selection of foods catering to every spice level, the service is also exceptional. The toilets are a little cramped, and the dining area doesn't look like much, but once in and enjoying your food, you don't even notice the small surroundings. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Teignmouth.
Taj Mahal – TeignmouthI went to the kents pub in wellswood last week. And has to be said the food and ales are fantastic. Great staff. I had the slow roast pork. Wow! loved it. Is now one of our places to visit weekly.
Kents The – Torquaynew owners, newly decorated and very clean. good food and big car park, log fires all we wanted. they are doing up the rooms for next year
The Lamb Inn – ExeterMy boyfriend and I had a lovely meal at Kitley, we took advantage of their reduced rate if you book a table on their website (£5.00 off per person!). The service was brilliant and the food was great for a special occasion! As a venue for a romantic meal it could not be faulted.
Kitley House Restaurant – PlymouthAnother brilliant meal at Lorenzos! This place is such good value, with helpful and friendly staff, we keep going back. Especially when you take advantage of their cinema deal - A tapas (most of which are large portions), a drink and see a film at the Reel cinema next door all for £10! The Chicken Coco, Nachos, Chicken and Date Kebab, Ciabbatta Sandwich, Potato skins, Chilli Poppers.....(the list could go on), are all great. We go so often we should work there. Sangria is great too! Its a cool place for relaxed dining with friends. If you are a large group you can be accommodated upstairs too!
Lorenzo – PlymouthOne of my favourite restaurants, set in a Georgian house you will be warmly welcomed by Linda and John Paul who does the cooking. All the food is freshly cooked for you, you might see John Paul nipping into the garden for there herbs, they only use fresh local produce and it is beautifully cooked and served. They also have a great range of Belgium beer. highly recommended
St Vincent House Hotel and Restaurant – LyntonOne of the best Italian meals I have had in this country and a great atmosphere
Giovanni’s Restaurant – BarnstapleBeautiful home cooked food, English/European served in what was an old butchers shop, with the tiles still on the wall. The deserts are to die for. This restaurant is run by a husband and wife team. Booking advisable, especially if they are away at the races
Angel Restaurant – IlfracombeMy recommendation is that you dont bother with this Bar. The manageress is very rude and unhelpfull to both paying guests and staff. The ammount of staff for a busy venue is nothing but frustrating. The area means you canot sit outside afterdark.
The Berkeley Bar & Grill – PlymouthWe enjoyed a lovely evening meal here, i had a sirloin steak and it was the best i've ever had my partner had a steamed chicken breast in stilton and mushroom sauce and shes not stop talking about it. It was a really friendly place and we wasn't rushed we able to relax, have a drink enjoy our meal at out leisure we'll certainly be going back, recommended to every one that enjoys there food.
Witches Bowl The – DawlishThe Bearslake Inn is just perfect! Atmosphere relaxed & friendly but at the same time with a touch of class. The food is excellent: the chef does justice to all the local produce used. Very good customer care: you feel welcome & special the whole time you are there. We dined there on several occasions & the standards were always high.
Bearslake Inn – Okehamptonbuffet city is excellent value for money, its £5.95 monday - saturday 12-4m and then the price goes up evening/ weekend. I go there once a week with my partner for lunch, the staff are very friendly, the food is good, they have over 70 dishes and you go up and help yourself, you can go up as many times as you like for starter main or pudding.
Buffet City – Plymouththe wah tin serve really nice food, it a really good place to eat at the weekend, but if you go during the week it seems empty and not a very nice atmosphere as the staff are waiting around and feels as though they are watching you eat, but weekends is good after 7pm.its a shame it doesn't get busier during the week as the food is really nice.
