I really love The Brioche for an after school treat for the kids or a relaxed breakfast. The ambience is cool and the food cheap and tasty. The staff are always pleasant and on the whole I think it's a pretty good deal.

We took our daughter and five of her friends out for a birthday celebration at Yukisan and we can't really praise it enough. The staff is professional and polite (now there's a change) and the service and food were both excellent. We sat upstairs, too and loved the atmosphere. It was a little hard on our backs and legs after awhile though we still recommend it for an authentic experience. 5 stars on all counts. If you haven't been, get going!

Nice atmosphere, good beer and wine. Starter - pate/terrine was ok. Main - steak was variable - my rare one was cooked close to medium, and my wife's blue one (and this was repeated many times to the waitress!) was medium-rare, and remained mainly on the plate. The chips (though they called them something different) were very greasy and tired. Dessert - coffee creme brulee was really really very poor. It was more of a layer of (reheated?) thick jellified custard lying on a coffee mousse - and I left it (not because I was full). The service was very friendly but patchy. We were charged for drinks which we cancelled 25 minutes after being ordered.

This is a wonderful little Bistro. Difficult to book as is only open Friday and Saturday but well worth it when you do. Food is fresh, served by Hazel who with her husband as Chef runs the place and is wonderfully friendly with superb food. The speciality fish is always worth trying.

Great Indian food that is freshly prepared and is akin to excellent home cooking. My favourite dish is the prawn on puri starter which is beautifully sweet and sour and very tomatoey ! Very friendly service and reasonably priced so highly recommended. Dennis & Ann

I met some girlfriends for lunch here recently and was most impressed. The lunch menu was lovely and well priced, I believe it was about £8 for 2 courses. A very relaxed dining experience, lovely attention to detail and excellent service.

Visited Leandra restaurant for the first time 5 months ago (4 of us), had advertised outside a set price for a three course ,however upon seating we were told that particular deal was off ,when i asked why,he just pointed to the menu abruptly, my girlfriend ordered the peppered steak well done when it arrived it was rare and bloody instead of cooking a fresh piece he just threw it on the grill for a couple off mins , the service through out the evening was terrible, the waiter had an attitude (which was noticed by the table next to us)and to add insult to injury he started to spray detergent on the table next to us while we were eating (which didn't taste very nice with the meal) needless to say wont be frequenting this establishment again

This is the best pub food in the Ilfracombe area by a country mile. Quality and consistency from Simon are signs of an excellent chef. Barbara serves an excellent pint of real ale

Decided to go for lunch to see if things had improved and they have not - terrible food and terrible service. I would not have minded if the place was busy but there was only 3 other tables, it took the waitress 15 minutes from taking my order to come back and say my dish was out of stock and then another 25 minutes to produce the worst baguette I have tasted, tasteless limp bacon with brie that was just out of a fridge and a splodge of cranberry sauce - the best bit was the crisps that accompanied it, my OHs meal was no better, over cooked scampi and chips served with peas and some Caesar salad! It is such a shame the food is so bad as the decor of the restaurant is really nice. It was once a good place to eat but is certainly somewhere I will not visit again.

Reading through a local paper I came across a 2-courses for £5 offer and thought I'd give it a try. Having previously tried some of the Times or Telegraph's similar promotions I was not sure what to expect. Here was a very tasty menu with some great British classics, such as homemade Sheppard's Pie followed by one of my old time favourites; Baked Apple. I can only say very delicious! (You can decide between starter and main course or main course and dessert for £5.00, but it had to be dessert for me!) I believe the promotion runs until the end of April and I shall certainly be returning for this one.

I have followed graham the head chef around for the last four years, and have to say it has always been first class. The food is always to the highest of standards. I just wanted to say thank you for looking after us the other evening. You haven't lost your touch.

This is our second visit in 3 years whilst on holiday in Devon and we actually went out of our way this time to visit the Rydon Restaurant,the staff are very friendly(Husband and wife). Plenty to choose from and specials on the board I personally would recommend the sea bass and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. 9/10

Just returned from this restaurant and the food was excellent!!! Although as a sole diner I would have liked a little more attention, although there was a large party dining at the same time. Would definitely try this restaurant again, hopefully next time I would get a little more attention.

This place is quite enchanting. The setting is wonderful. If you eat there as we did you can walk off all the superb food along the beautiful Teign. Can recommend it 100%. Go and try it then you can write your review too!

My two friends and I had a meal on 02/02/08 which was a Saturday night. We were lucky enough to be seated straight away, and it was immediately obvious that we would be in for a great night. The smells were amazing and we couldn't order our food quick enough!! We opted for the sampler meals (along with a couple of other dishes) which meant we all got to share a little of everything. All of the dishes were wonderful, as was the tolberone fondue we have for dessert (with fresh fruit and marshmallows to dip in!). Price was really reasonable - under £30.00 for 3 of us (including a bottle of wine). I have to say it is the best meal I have had in a long time (and I eat out twice a week on average). In fact it was so good, it inspired me to write an online review (which I've never done before!!). I would DEFINITELY recommend this place and hope to return soon (even though I live in Birmingham).
