Camelot Medieval Restaurant – TorquayI found this restaurant to be laid back and somewhat informal which worked perfectly with it's relaxed friendly staff and BYO policy. The food was amazing. I went for the 3 courses from £15 menu and had the scallops, Parma Chicken (delicious) followed by the chocolate fondant which I was told is their most popular dessert. It was lovely. An overall very enjoyable evening.
B.E.D! – Plymouthon my visit I found it above average for a wetherspoons it even has its own ale, issacs tipple, wortha look if your in paignton
Isaac Merritt – PaigntonWe have the set 3 course lunch whenever we shop in England (we're from Cornwall!!). Excellent unpretentious friendly restaurant. Nice mixture of Greek food and traditional English fare. Service is friendly and professional
Zeus – PlymouthI see all recommendations are dated 2006. Went there in January 2007 and have to agree with all previous comments. We shall be going again, soon.
Chloe’s Restaurant – PlymouthI love sea food and was spoilt for choice. I choose Mussels to start followed by Sea Bass for my main. I'm afraid that I didn't have room for dessert! The quality and quantity will keep me as a very happy regular customer.
La Scala – PaigntonHad to visit Elephants Nest given name, many real ales & ciders, food great becoming a seasonal regular great place for re-unions
Elephants Nest Inn – TavistockGreat place, great vibe great food.
Camelot Medieval Restaurant – TorquayRun and worked by the owners, who are wonderful and make you feel right at home. This homely cafe has music from live musicians that blow your mind. I have never felt so welcome as I did at the blue walnut!
Blue Walnut – TorquayIf you're looking to impress someone this is definitely the place to take them to. You can eat a hearty meal without feeling sluggish afterwards then sit and chat while smoking sheeshas. Amazing.
Souk – PlymouthUnfortunately when I visited Jack In The Green it was on a quiet night. I prefer a little more vibrancy. However this didn't detract from the fact that this has to be the best food in the South West. Every bite was bliss!
Jack In The Green Inn – ExeterWhat a surprise this little Bistro is! We visited after reading reviews on Sugarvine just this week and enjoyed an amazing well priced 2 - 4 - 1 Bistro Special lunch for only £24 Plenty of choice including smashing seafood and brilliant Salmon Cakes. Mark my words this is an excellent venue and very easy to find. We've booked already for Valentine's day!
Bistro One – PlymouthDinning at the Old Rydon has been consistently impressive since re-opening in early summer. Wonderful venue and delightful staff, surpassed only by the quality of the food.
Old Rydon Inn – Newton AbbotWe would just like to say how much we enjoyed our meals at ocean drive and found the atmosphere wonderful we could not fault the service and myself and my husband had Caribbean chicken which was so nice i have been trying to find the recipe with no luck we would highly recommend a visit and will be good back sometime.
Ocean Drive – TorquayI had Christmas Day lunch at Seawings with my Sister and Brother-in-Law and we were all very impressed with the whole experience. Very good food, a superb bottle of wine (Brown Brothers), very friendly and efficient staff and a pleasant atmosphere. We were not rushed through our meal and were fortunate enough to have a table in the conservatory with its 180 degree view of Plymouth Sound. Also when booking I was asked if there any special dietary requirements without any prompting and it may only seem like a small thing but at last, a restaurant that brings you a jug of water and glasses without having to ask for it. Thank you Patsy, Gemma and staff for a lovely afternoon.
Seawings Breakwater House – PlymouthFood 1/2 price at lunchtime - very nice surprise. Jasmine tea expensive! Service a mixture of friendly man and grumpy woman - not long to wait, though
Bamboo The – ExeterThis is one of the best Restaurants in this area I have been too, the menu is well balanced and their is always something new to try. The Chef will cook you anything you want if your dietry needs are special or if you just fancy something different. The best thing is the waitress take's your order at the table and helps you to choose.
Church House Inn The – PaigntonWhen I dined at St. Elizabeth's House, it had only been open for a couple of days, and I had been waiting and watching the progress of the refurbishment of the convent for quite some time with great anticipation. The standard of service that we received was second to none, Clare and Fleur are an absolute asset to the team. We were made to feel as if we were the only guests in the restaurant. The ambience and the layout of the restaurant also added to the intimate atmosphere. The food was outstanding. I chose the beef, which melted in my mouth, and the wine list was extensive, comprehensive, and also amusing! What I found to be the nicest surprise, however, was price! The value for money was fantastic. We had the fine dining experience without the fine dining pricing. Overall, I can not recommend St. Elizabeth's House enough. I do believe that it is only a matter of time before there are rosettes awarded. Well done.
