The setting is fabulous (within Gin Distillery, on the Barbican). The place had a relaxed feeling, yet was tastefully decorated. Thought the menu was varied. I was really impressed with the sea bass.

Barbican Kitchen – PlymouthGood Food at a price
Oyster Shack The – KingsbridgeEnjoyed a meal at this place earlier in the year, superb Monkfish! Am returning this weekend and looking forward to some yummy tuck! I think Gordon Ramsay would approve unlike some other restaurants I have visited in this area!
Linny Inn The – Newton AbbotMe and my wife recently ate at the church house for the first time. Although it was very quiet, being a Tuesday night in winter probably had something to do with it, there was a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The food, which we later found out was cooked by a very young sous-chef, was outstanding. Mussel and scallop starters both cooked to perfection and on our table very quickly. For mains, salmon and fillet steak, again very well cooked and superbly presented. When paired with a bottle from the very impressive and varied wine list, this proved a lovely meal. The prices may seem a little much but in our opinion we definitely got our money's worth via large portions and good quality food and drink. we will definitely be returning over the Christmas period, if only to show friends and family the type of fantastic restaurant that, to our knowledge, doesn? get the praise it deserves from the local community.
Church House Inn – KingsbridgeExcellent food, friendly family service. The beers are very well kept, too. 10 mile drive from my home, passing several other good pubs, but I shall definitely continue going back.
Church House Inn – KingsbridgeThe setting of this hotel, in grade one listed gardens, with the tamar flowing below, is simply stunning. We had lunch on the terrace. Not another building in site. Some people were playing croquet on the lawn. The food was delicious, it did cost £29 for three courses. A top room here cost £400. So I think restaurant is subsidised by the rooms. It was just wonderful.
Hotel Endsleigh – Tavistockspanking gorgeous!!!!
Leandra The – PlymouthGreat food and fantastic service. Price deals mid-week and early evening. Neil's is comfortably smart but the ambience is sometimes just a little flat - some more carefully chosen music would help!
Neil’s Restaurant – SidmouthThis was the first time we have eaten at the Old Market since the new owners have taken over. WOW what a change. The restaurant has now been full refurbished, and the chef is first class. The food and choice was second to none, and the dessert, oh the desserts are to die for.
Old Market Inn – HolsworthyThis is a tiny, family run restaurant, a little quirky but well loved by locals. It's unlicensed but The Radway Pub (next door but one) will sell you a beer and let you take the glass back later :)
Sidmouth Tandoori – SidmouthGreat little country pub, nicely tucked away with great countryside views and ample car parking facilities. Lovely home cooked food at a great price, try the specials boards for bargains! Sweets are amazing especially banoffee pie. Yum!
Crealock Arms The – BidefordFantastic local pub tucked away in a picturesque village 10 miles from Exeter. Serving a range of dishes using local ingredients, great real ales, ciders and good value wines. Relaxed eating in the bar - you usually need to book ahead for Sunday lunch.
New Fountain Inn – ExeterA fantastic meal. The food was gorgeous and the service was really good, very friendly!
Moorish – Newton AbbotWe only go out to eat at the Flintlock. We have tried other local restaurants but this place is the best. One gets a warm welcome, all home cooked food is of a very high standard and reasonably priced. It is popular so book well in advance in order not to be disappointed.
The Flintlock Inn – HonitonWell worth a visit, and many return visits too
Elizabethan Inn – Newton AbbotVery friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Efficient and polite staff, very quick service. Brilliant food at excellent prices. Top Class!!

Clarence Hotel The – Plymouththis pub is situated only a small stroll from the main beach in torquay. it is attractive from the outside and well lit up in the evening. the staff were very friendly, which is rare these days. the service was quick and efficient. there was a good selection of drinks and the food was superb. the hygiene in the pub was of a very high standard and the atmosphere was very warm and cosy. we spoke briefly to the manageress and she was lovely and very welcoming to myself and my family. i would go out of my way to return to this pub. it truly is a gem! 10/10
