Chloe’s Restaurant – Plymouthnice friendly pub grub. outside area is a lovely suntrap in the summer and good range of beers
Morley Arms – PlymouthIn a nice location with a nice outside area, this is a lovely place to go with friends and family. Straightforward English pubgrub of a generous size and a nice friendly atmosphere
Lockyers Quay – PlymouthMy husband and I popped in on the off chance and really wanted to try the 'fish side', however they were fully booked for a birthday lunch. We therefore went to the 'pub side' and had the special lunch menu. Whilst the portions were 'small' they were adequate although I too found some of the dishes a little on the salty side, hence 'very good' rather than 'outstanding'. The home made bread was a definite plus and I would certainly return, just hold the salt a little!
Rose And Crown – PlymouthFor large parties and hen nights, this is a great place to go and suits all ages. Food is good and the staff although they are busy, are very good. Can get very busy around xmas time but with a dancefloor playing classics afterwards, it provides for a very entertaining evening!
Grecian Taverna The – PlymouthWell what can I say this deli is by far the best in the south west they have a great selection fine cheese cured meets homemade scotch eggs etc in there deli counter also a fab Christmas hamper selection. (Was very nice for my mother Christmas) oh did I mention there excellent selection of freshly grounded coffee yum yum. (try there baby chino) The have very experienced staff that do have great knowledge of the food they sell. It also have a nice atmosphere to sit relax have a coffee, bit to eat and read the daily papers..

Waterside Bistro – TotnesHaving visited now about 5 times I love the place the food is excellent each time I’ve tried something different and have not been disappointed with any so try:- fishcakes monkfish and sweet potato thermadore veggie:- mushroom stroganoff field mushroom with??? my mouth waters at the thought The landlady is lovely always remembers us the perfect hostess also the wine is good they can recommend something to suit your taste and they periodically change their wine choices
Beer Engine Pub and Brewery – Exeterbeen coming here for years . dan and matt are by far the best landlords in the history of the 11a quest for the independent vibe. one minute Hendrix then Dylan mixed in with some Dj Shadow and Nina simone then Leadbelly and stuff that makes you go to the bar and find out who is pulsing from the speakers !!! chilled out to the max upstairs on the 2nd floor too. The pizza's.... oh the Pizza's, i was recommended a classic 12" from a lady whilst in London !!! that's good word of mouth !!
11a Church Street Restaurant and Bar – ExeterPub food at its best, worth a visit.
Williams Arms – BrauntonThis place has under gone a complete transformation and all credit has to go to Phil & Helen, the very friendly owners. The food is of excellent quality, locally sourced (hurrah!) and reasonably priced. The wine list offers really good value and I have to recommend the house wine - it's fantastic. The stunning views over the bay add to the friendly atmosphere - recommended!
Shoreline Bistro – PaigntonOutstanding is an understatement for this fantastic place. My wife treated me to a night out here for my birthday, and from the moment you step through the door you are made to feel welcome by the owner and her great staff, nothing and I mean nothing is too much trouble. The food is nothing short of superb, in portion, very large, and taste, well 7th heaven, do try the scallops and the lobster pure bliss. this is by far the best place we have eaten in for many a year and cannot wait to return in September. Highly recommend to all, but do book in advance. Many Thanks to all at The Poop Deck for a truly great evening, see you soon.
Poopdeck – BrixhamStuart and I ate here last year while on holiday and were very impressed as you can see by our ratings. Everything was of the highest standard and it was delight to have such good food in this area.
The Elephant – TorquayYou can eat ostrich, venison and get your steaks etc. The vegetables are all presented nice and tasty as well. I have put it is pricey, but it depends on what you have, if you have say venison you will pay the going rate for venison. The restaurant is in a small village.
Old Thatch Inn The – ExeterThe Best Meal I've Had In A Long Long Time
Black Dog Inn – CreditonHaving had the pleasure of more than one outstanding dinner at Ode in Shaldon- the time came for a visit for their week end brunch. Went to see how they fared with a very elderly friend who has trouble eating anything at all...but a smoked salmon omlette ( Holding the chives to save the very delicate tummy ) proved an outstanding sucess, only eclipsed by the fish cake on my own plate..... Freshly squeezed orange juice and a sicilian lemonade set us up for the very hot sun outside, the warmth streaming in through the open front door. Such a refreshing change for a Sunday brunch
ODE Restaurant – TeignmouthA really relaxed evening which began at the bar on a sumptuous sofa with an elegant glass of wine and ended with the best French tart outside of France. The menu is excellent with the best quality ingredients used. This place is the highlight of our holidays in Devon, a real treat.
La Gendarmerie – IlfracombeA great place to enjoy a large American size plate of excellent food, the staff are so happy and helpful, the jukebox is playing all the classic rock hits and to finish of if you are into cars then keep one eye on the car park.
