Our only stop for Sunday lunch. Beef is the best I have ever tasted and vegetables fresh. Cannot fault any dish on the menu.

Blue Ball Inn The – Sidmouthafter searching for a very long time for somewhere to take my fiance and 5 month old daughter for Sunday lunch we finally found the swan inn in sidmouth, when we went in after about 5 minutes i was approached by a member of staff and told that i would have to leave straight away as my daughter was not over 14 and also that they had stopped serving food!! even though there were people just being given there food! i WILL NOT be returning here as the staff were rude, the place is NOT CHILD FRIENDLY and they stopped serving at 2pm "apparently"!!
Swan Inn – Sidmouthafter searching for hours to find somewhere to have sunday luch with my fiance and 5 month old daughter and being turned away from somewhere because of the age of my child we came across this pub, i went in to ask if they were still serving and weather my daughter would be aloud in and i was greeted by a very nice member of staff who assured me that yes they were still serving. i had the sausage trio with creamed potato, garden peas and onion gravey where as my fiance had the fish trio with fresh garden vegatables and new potatoes. we both really loved our food and would definitely come back again. the staff were very friendly, the food was lovely, the prices were reasonable but i guess if i had to have one down side i would say that the portions could have been a little larger but all in all a very enjoyable meal. A
Black Horse Inn – SidmouthI visit Sidmouth Tandoori once a week usually on my own on a week night evening. The quality of food is absolutely superb, and way above the standard of what other Indian food is available in a wide radius. Staff are genuine and really friendly, you get good portions of food (vegetable curry is served as standard with a shaslik). Alcohol is allowed to be brought in with no corkage charge, a far cheaper option than most restaurants and a wide range of soft drinks and tea/coffee is also available. Well recommended.
Sidmouth Tandoori – SidmouthLovely little restaurant, Great food, great service and great value.
Sidmouth Tandoori – SidmouthI have eaten at the Sidmouth tandoori several times and have never had a bad experience. Their food is delicious, cooked to perfection and the service is excellent. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Indian food and also to anyone who doesn't because chances are they will after eating there!
Sidmouth Tandoori – Sidmouthi have eaten there 3 times and the food was plentiful but sadly as with a lot of indian restaurants in England they put heat instead of flavour. chillies rather than spices. the staff were very friendly and the radway beer was excellent.
Sidmouth Tandoori – SidmouthLandlady a little turse and not overly welcoming, but food superb - THE best home-made lasagna I've ever had, with an excellent salad and very tasty, crunchy chips.
Hare and Hounds – SidmouthStar grub--family run with old values---Bossman is a star & remembers his locals
Sidmouth Tandoori – SidmouthStill a regular visitor but have to agree with the comment by Jonny on staff attitude.
Blue Ball Inn The – SidmouthVery good breakfast but seems to be an attitude with the staff, noticed it in the evenings as well, could be more friendly.
Blue Ball Inn The – SidmouthVery good food and excellent beers, value for money and a great place to visit.
Blue Ball Inn The – SidmouthVery good pub with food to match, great to sit outside and watch the world go by. Nice decor, good beer and a mix of locals and tourists. Have visited six or so times and will be visiting frequently in the future.
Anchor Inn The – SidmouthVisited twice on a recent visit to Sidmouth, once for a drink and the experience was so pleasant we ate there the following evening. Very much a locals pub but you are immediately welcomed and included (if you wish) in the banter, good wholesome food and large portions, wish I lived nearby, it would be my local.
Swan Inn – SidmouthThe Sidmouth Tandoori has just had a make over, with hand painted Indian Scenes, this has certainly raised the ambience. The food is as ever very good, Highly recommended, i have visited India 10 times and this restaurant reflects Indian food perfectly. Keep up the good work
Sidmouth Tandoori – SidmouthThis pub has been transformed over the last year and is now a lovely place to eat. We went for sunday lunch and it was the best pub roast dinner I have ever had - all prepared with fresh local ingredients, the beef was cooked to perfection was pink in the middle. The Manager, Steve was the perfect host and along with the owners has created a welcoming atmosphere that thrives on being busy.
Anchor Inn The – Sidmouthwe visit this restaurant during the Folk festival week and other times when we are in Sidmouth. The staff are very welcoming and obliging and they make a superb pavlova. They even gave us black sacks to sit on during one damp folk festival.
Chattery, The – SidmouthGreat food and fantastic service. Price deals mid-week and early evening. Neil's is comfortably smart but the ambience is sometimes just a little flat - some more carefully chosen music would help!
