Excellent new Didsbury restaurant. My daughter raved about it so we all went and were not disappointed. Top draw pizza and service!
Proove Pizza – DidsburyReally enjoyed my excellent Nepalese curry on Friday night. Really tasty, full of flavour and different from the normal Indian fayre. The chicken was of a high quality too, tender and juicy again unlike the chewy chicken you can find in other Indian venues.
Namaste Nepal – DidsburyGreat food but importantly a fine selection of Malbec!
CAU – DidsburyThe very best food, the very best service, excellent value an and a host/owner who makes you feel as if you are a guest in his own home! This is a wow!
Pasha Restaurant & Lounge – DidsburyA beautiful looking restaurant! Its immaculately white, bright and airy. Love their pizza's too.
Croma – DidsburyLovely place to eat, especially the Meze for indecisive people like me. Cocktails are lush, and the staff are really polite
Olive & Vine Dimitris – DidsburyWent with my friend last night (9.10.14) for the set menu, where it is £12.95 if you eat before 7.00 pm. When we got the bill a £4.95 supplement had been added to the bill because we had the steak, which wasn't that big anyway, and not worth the money!! Why have a set menu for a certain price, and then just add £4.95 to it; the waiter didn't get it at all when it was brought up with him. His answer was "everywhere else does it!" That is not the case. They are ripping the public off. Food is nice, pity about the bill and the staff attitude
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyLove the new Solita in Didsbury. Took my girls and they have an excellent kids menu.
Solita – DidsburyGive a wide berth to this sub-standard boho pseudo gastro-pub. The Met would like you to think that they are way ahead in the gastro-pub stakes...stop-press....they're not, by a long way, Forget what you see online if you go on a Sunday, all that is found is mediocre and bland fare. Boring starters of heavy carbs unseasoned salad and insipid smoked salmon did not bode well. Cheddar, Spring onion and mushroom crumble sounded inspirational: in reality looked like something the cat had thrown up...and tasted similar (one would imagine!). When we complained a superb 'super salad' replaced it...what we didn't know was that we would have to pay even more for the inconvenience of a late meal .....said salad costing even more than the atrocious crumble! AND STEER CLEAR OF THE BURGERS! stale bread purporting to be focaccia, offering medium and well done burgers....both instructions ignored and burgers came incinerated...dry, unseasoned...do far better at home! so save yourselves £100 and cook at home for your nearest and dearest...at least find somewhere that can cook decent fare at decent prices!
Metropolitan – DidsburyMy third visit to this restaurant and each time as good if not better than before. Food is excellent, great choice, good service. Its noisy when busy but in a good way.Trying to book for next week, but their popularity and time of year means you wll need to book a little in advance. Well worth the wait the food and the value are first rate!
Bistro West 156 – DidsburyI love it here. The interior is fab, the atmosphere is relaxed and the food is great. Hoping to go on Mothers Day.
Mary & Archie – DidsburyA little gem.Superb food.
Refresh Cafe Didsbury – DidsburyWarm and cosy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Excellent homemade food. Lovely Afternoon Tea. Good location
Refresh Cafe Didsbury – DidsburyI've just been to Fusion Deli on Lapwing Lane in West Didsbury. Cracking little Deli, decent range of organic produce albeit slightly limited, great meats and cheeses counter, very traditional corner shop service, decent wines
Fusion deli – DidsburyMyself and a group of friends decided to eat out to nandos last night, one of our favourite restaurants to visit which we do so quite often. Usually we have a very pleasant experience when having a meal here although yesterday I was extremely disappointed. On arrival we were greeted by a waitress who took our name and asked us to wait for a table which would be around 25 minutes, it was busy as it always was so we expected the waiting time. However we ended up waiting around 50 minutes altogether. We finally sat down and waited for our starters, my friends arrived soon after but mine was not to be seen. After quite a long time of watching my friends enjoy their starters I finally decided to ask a waitress where mine was. She was very rude and abrupt in saying "they are making it now" however around 10 minutes later it still hadn't come and my friends mains had already arrived. I asked a different waiter this time about my starter and he went to check
Nando’s – DidsburyReally Nice Food. Love the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken is so soft. The salt and pepper chicken was the best Ive ever had. Definitely reccommend!
Hong Kong Red Lantern – DidsburyFood was OK but the service was terrible......our table was not available for over a hour after the time we booked for with no apology or concession......if your in the village there are loads of other places with better food and excellent service.....so try one of these.
Cibo Venetian Bar and Tapas – DidsburyThe food was deplorable the lamb chops were smelly, the beer was flat. I assume the waiters were illigal as no left to serve us as immigration officers walked in and the staff disappeared. I had an awful experience. Just a posh version of a curry mile restaurant.
Great Kathmandu – DidsburySet Menu: 2 courses, £16; 3 courses, £20 (available Tuesday to Thursday from 5.30pm)
