I've just been to Fusion Deli on Lapwing Lane in West Didsbury. Cracking little Deli, decent range of organic produce albeit slightly limited, great meats and cheeses counter, very traditional corner shop service, decent wines

Fusion deli – DidsburyMyself and a group of friends decided to eat out to nandos last night, one of our favourite restaurants to visit which we do so quite often. Usually we have a very pleasant experience when having a meal here although yesterday I was extremely disappointed. On arrival we were greeted by a waitress who took our name and asked us to wait for a table which would be around 25 minutes, it was busy as it always was so we expected the waiting time. However we ended up waiting around 50 minutes altogether. We finally sat down and waited for our starters, my friends arrived soon after but mine was not to be seen. After quite a long time of watching my friends enjoy their starters I finally decided to ask a waitress where mine was. She was very rude and abrupt in saying "they are making it now" however around 10 minutes later it still hadn't come and my friends mains had already arrived. I asked a different waiter this time about my starter and he went to check
Nando’s – DidsburyReally Nice Food. Love the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken is so soft. The salt and pepper chicken was the best Ive ever had. Definitely reccommend!
Hong Kong Red Lantern – DidsburyFood was OK but the service was terrible......our table was not available for over a hour after the time we booked for with no apology or concession......if your in the village there are loads of other places with better food and excellent service.....so try one of these.
Cibo Venetian Bar and Tapas – DidsburyThe food was deplorable the lamb chops were smelly, the beer was flat. I assume the waiters were illigal as no left to serve us as immigration officers walked in and the staff disappeared. I had an awful experience. Just a posh version of a curry mile restaurant.
Great Kathmandu – DidsburyI visited your establishment this evening 8th January 2013 with a friend. We haven't visited for about a year but the food was an excellent quality
DosaXpress – DidsburyWe visited this restaurant last saturday evening - it was packed at 8.30, so this evening we arrived at 7pm and were seated immediately. On both occasions we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will be back very soon. Service was first class and very friendly.no wonder it's busy!
Great Kathmandu – DidsburyVery good food and service. One critism, there wasn't really an early bird menu available. You basically have to select the cheapest options from the main menu that would come to around £20, so not really an offer....
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyWe have been serving amazing Indian food for generations!
Khandoker – Didsburyi am 62 and live 10 mins drive from the met and went in for the first time on saturday i was surprised at the great vibe in the pub.we had a lovely meal and really enjoyed ourselves. we will be back.
Metropolitan – DidsburyWhat a 1st class dining experience!!! My husband and I enjoy dining out regularly - the food and service at Dimitri's Didsbury was superb! We had a fantastic waiter who made the night along with the deliciously tasting and presented food!! Well worth the money which wasn't to expensive! I have recommended the restaurant to friends who ate their last week and agreed. There will definitely be a return visit soon! Hayley Jamieson-Saville
Olive & Vine Dimitris – DidsburyGreat atmosphere good food and attentive staff.
The Old Cock – DidsburyNot impressed...the service seems to get slower and slower here even when it's quiet. Can't understand how it can take so long to warm up some soup and pitta bread with humous - what a shame!
Mary & Archie – DidsburyVery delicious Arabic food and very good service
Sultan Restaurant – DidsburyI have been going into the metropolitan in west didsbury for many years with a group of local friends. therefore i feel well placed to write an honest and frank review. For a long time now this place has been slipping in standards based largely on the fact that it is a busy place. because of this, the staff have become lethargic, disinterested and arrogant. The biggest problem however is the management who at best are inept incompetent and frankly laughable, led by big mel, who makes basil fawlty look good. When she is not picking on people with learning difficulties - or bullying staff on minimum wage, she can be guaranteed to be overseeing a dirty bar, slow service and TGI Fridays standard food. She does however manage to do it in a snooty manner which implies that she is slightly better than you - which clearly shes not otherwise she wouldn't work there You will not be able to get served quickly on a Friday and Saturday - you will not be able to move in there on a Sunday because of toddlers crawling on the floor - during the week, mothers with oversized prams will block the entire space - ordering their coffee and cake (making it last 2 hours) - which inevitably slows down service because the staff cant work the coffee machine The food is very average, and gets away with it because its not a bad building which papers over some of the very large cracks. I would recommend most of the other places on burton rd as being better. In conclusion the met is at the moment the place to go for people with little imagination on a friday or saturday. It will however die a death in much the same way as other crazily busy places have over the last few years. This is because the EIGHT managers are basically children who have no idea what they are doing and will sink the place. Average prices: Pint - £4.20 Wine - £18 per bottle Meal for 2 with drinks - £70 Bottle of Peroni - £4 Vodka and orange - £5
Metropolitan – DidsburyI have eaten in this restaurant several times now. The food i have had was great for the whole family! Definitely welcoming to children and the staff were lovely. I recommend it.
Pomegranate Restaurant – DidsburyMy partner and ate at Jem & I for the first time last week. The food was wonderful, perfectly cooked, seasoned and spiced. My partners main course of monk fish was "The best meal I've ever had'. My mushroom risotto was also very good. We shared a sticky toffee pudding dessert and again it was beautiful in taste, texture, and presentation. Importantly no teaspoon of sauce here but a generous portion. Service was excellent.
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyGood food
Hong Kong Red Lantern – Didsbury
