A fabulous restaurant - amazing food at amazing prices!
Aladdin – DidsburyFantastic food, the portion size was spot on. The service was attentive and efficient. Good wine list. Everyone at my table had a lovely night. I would recommend the Moroccan lamb - delicious!
Bistro West 156 – DidsburyI booked this restaurant based on the reviews I'd read on this website. I was not disappointed. Really nice place, great food served and cooked beautifully, good value for money, and in no way pretentious. I'd definitely eat there again.
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyMy husband and I went for Sunday Lunch. We didn't want three courses so opted for just a main course. The chicken was delicious and the vegetables hot and not overcooked. We both had a glass of wine which was also not over priced. We will visit again.
No. 4 Dine and Wine – Didsburyi have eaten in many of the nepalese restaurants in manchester great kathmandu being one of them which has been running for almost 20 years. i thought i had to try out namaste nepal as it has only been open about 20 weeks. i went with my husband and 2 sons, we were welcomed into the restaurant by a lovely young lady who was quite helpful when choosing our dishes she explained to us the variety of curries and there strengths but most of them were medium spiced we had healthy option of a sizzling starter which we ate as main with some sauce on the side also a very traditional steamed dumpling called momocha which was so delicious similar to a dimsum then main course something i had never seen anywhere lamb shak su ka lamb cooked in mince lamb which was a dish that even my sons loved this dish was recommended by the young lady and she was right we will go back just for that dish. we are now preparing to book for our Christmas party. all the staff are so friendly and helpful you cant get this anywhere anymore so it was lovely to see them all working like a team. you have to try this place as it to me is the best new place to eat out in.
Namaste Nepal – DidsburyI took my mum here for Sunday Lunch as a birthday treat and was very impressed. The service was friendly and very good. The food was excellent across the board - especially the Sticky Toffee Pudding. I would definitely go again.
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyMy mouth is watering just at the thought of this restaurant. The best curry restaurant in Manchester! A great range of curries from around the world. Each dish has its own distinct flavour and tastes deliciously home made. Great veggie options - love the bananas, okra and Sri Lankan lentils.
Cachumba – DidsburyExpected average, instead I received an outstanding main course followed by an amazing sweet. Would certainly recommend to ANYBODY! Better than anything I've tasted in Chorlton.
Bistro West 156 – DidsburyFantastic food. Can never decide what to have, there are so many fabulous choices!
Greens – DidsburyExcellent quality of food first and foremost... Something we wanted wasn't on the menu, but the staff were more than happy to understand exactly what it was we wanted, and offered to make it for us anyway. Great service from the waitress, offered to bring extra sauce when we had finished it with the starter... good all round service, and a very enjoyable meal in a nice setting. Highly recommend it
Swadesh – DidsburyI can't believe some of the previous reviewers comments - I couldn't fault the service, certainly not at that price. The food was lovely. I'd definitely recommend it.
Jade Garden – DidsburyThis is the most outstanding vegetarian restaurant I have ever been to. I went here at lunchtime following an evening out in Manchester where we had kobe beef for dinner. If you don't know kobe cows are fed chocolate and massaged daily with the result that the beef taste like absolute heaven. Tender light and it melts in your mouth. it is a once in a lifetime experience at £50 each a steak....I have to say I didn't believe you could top that experience, but greens did. I belong to a private members club in London, Adam St which I think has the most outstanding chef. and having done most of the destination restaurants in London...I am very hard to please but greens blew my mind. I ordered a mushroom strudel with beetroot and chips. The strudel was delightful dressed in a perfect light gravy.. the beetroots were roasted to perfection and the wedges accompanied with the most perfect light garlic sauce. I thought I'd gone to heaven...That meal demonstrates the importance of beginning with excellent produce as you could have only achieved the incredible wedges with good potatoes. The dessert menu was wonderful containing unusually most of the things I love. white chocolate cheesecake, crème brulee I went for sticky toffee pudding and at the first mouthful let out an involuntary moan of pleasure. My friend sampled the dessert and did the same INCREDIBLE please please open a restaurant in London.
Greens – DidsburyGreat choice of starters and wonderful choice of main course for meat eaters. The vegetarian and fish dishes are limited only 2 of each. Meat dishes are good but hot vegetarian dishes are tasteless. However if you are vegetarian you had mix 2 or 3 starters with the special vegetarian rice which is a nice combination. You can bring your own wine or beer which is great - they do not have a license.
Aladdin – DidsburyFast becoming our favourite restaurant in the city. Excellent food, standard as good as the Lime Tree but with a more exciting menu and better value. Service, whilst friendly, could have been quicker and waiter more knowledgeable re menu and wines.
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyCute little place in Didsbury great for Sunday brunch
Greens – DidsburyMy starter was baked feta, Greek salad, and flat bread, which is difficult to get wrong, but managed here (bread toasted to concrete, miniscule salad, no onions, rocket!). I think I was just unlucky though - everyone else's starters were very good, and the main courses were excellent. Very good service, nice atmosphere, very well priced set menu. Definitely recommended.
Bistro West 156 – Didsburyin a similar price bracket to many other modern eateries but the quality of ingredients and skill of the chefs was remarkable. by far the best value for money anywhere. Its no suprise that tables can be a little difficult to get hold of! would eat there every week if i could find a good reason to get fat.
Lime Tree – DidsburyWhen we first went to the restaurant as non-vegetarians we were a little wary! However, we were all delighted with the quality and flavour of the dishes. The traditional meal of bangers and mash had been beautifully adapted with cheesey sausages. Vegetarian black pudding - is it possible? Most definitely. We will certainly revisit.
Greens – DidsburySet Menu: 2 courses, £16; 3 courses, £20 (available Tuesday to Thursday from 5.30pm)
