Laughing Buddha – DidsburyThis place is amazing. Really. This restaurant delivers some of the finest dishes I have ever tasted, and I'm not vegetarian!! The service was first class and the ambience is excellent and quite intimate. Some people have found the cost to be a little bit pricey, but when you're presented with such innovative and beautiful food, the cost seems somehow irrelevant...Book early to avoid disappointment!
Greens – DidsburyI can't stress enough just how wonderful the menu is here. It is a bit more expensive than Rusholme, and the poppadoms aren't the best, but if ever I'm eating out, I head here. The menu is varied, unusual and everything I've ever had has been fabulous. I've been going regularly for nearly 4 years, and it's one of the best reasons to live in South Manchester.
Great Kathmandu – DidsburyWe have visited cafe jem & I a few times over the past years and always come away wow?d by the spectacular food and speed/friendliness of the service. Having read fantastic reviews headlined a jem of a place and hearing of the recent refurbishment we decided to pay another visit. On arrival we were awe struck by the transformation the design and decor hopefully now complimenting the food itself, we were not disappointed. They have managed to keep all the standards of the original, steak to die for and menus and specials leaving you spoilt for choice not only on food but wine as well. A pat on the back for jem and all involved.1st class
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyI was introduced to The Aladdin by my parents about 10 years ago, and have been going back a few times a year ever since. The food is ALWAYS brilliant, the BYO policy means it's great value, the service is second to none and it's just generally a great place for an informal evening with friends. Particular favourites are the Ejeh, mixed kebabs, tabouleh and shaworma, but everything is fantastic. My favourite restaurant in Manchester by a fair way.
Aladdin – DidsburyAbsolutely fantastic - we need more veggie restaurants! Completely no smoking too, which is a bonus. Service was excellent - very friendly and helpful staff, with prompt service. Contemporary decor, relaxed atmosphere, good music (I didn't find it loud, as someone else said - maybe it's been turned down!) and a good mix of diners. Food was outstanding - non veggies would love it - and please try the garlic and rosemary bread to start - it's amazing! My only minor criticisms are a)they should have a website and b) perhaps not rely too heavily on cheese on the main courses (3 out of 5 had cheese in), as veggie food often gets slated for being cheese and nothing else. Will definitely be going back. A real find.
Greens – DidsburyGreat food, sexy chefs!
Bistro West 156 – DidsburyNice refurb. Fantastic food. Excellent staff
Gusto – DidsburyHighly recommended for a nice night out, the specials starter menu is fantastic and I would recommend the mussels and thin sliced raw beef. This is the nicest Italian we have been to and the service is very attentive
Azzurro Restaurant – DidsburyMy partner and I took advantage of the Wednesday special offer and had a most wonderful evening. The place is small but this provides a nice ambience and the food was truly splendid. I will be returning that? for sure
Azzurro Restaurant – DidsburyI can quite honestly say this is the best italian restaurant I have ever been to. Excellent choice of authentic food on offer and the daily specials board displayed a wonderful array of fish starters and mains. Both my partner and I had 3 courses, all of which were fantastic on both accounts. Great service, great ambience and great food at a very reasonable price. Try it and you'll agree.
Azzurro Restaurant – DidsburyWent last night for our wedding anniversary. Chef was very accommodating with our dairy free requirements. Made us lovely red pepper soup followed by grilled halibut and plenty of fresh veg and new potatoes wife had excellent steak. Shame there is no early bird menu, as we would go more often. Price £50 incl wine but no sweets or coffee at our request.
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyA Chinese restaurant that is one of the best in Manchester not given the credit it deserves due to its situation out of China Town and distance from the city centre. Traditional Chinese service of food that equals the best in some of the renowned restaurants of both Manchester and London China towns.
Jade Garden – DidsburyI ate at the great kathmandu last week and I was amazed at the quality of food and service. People told me about this place and I finally got the time to go. I recommend the Bhotowan what a masterpiece!!!!
Great Kathmandu – DidsburyVery good menu choice, nice service and good food. They are helpful with recommendations and will make dishes specially for you.
Laughing Buddha – DidsburyThe noisy bustling atmosphere and good service make it a treat to come here, but in comparison to other Pizza Express restaurants in Cheadle and Manchester centre, the pizza toppings are scanty. You can count the number of capers or sultanas on the various pizza and they are minimum and always the same. Other than that - it could be a great restaurant
Pizza Express – DidsburyHad a fabulous evening at Azzurro! The food was outstanding with an extensive menu (including fish & seafood menu) we had the steak and the perch, both were excellent!, the staff were great and the ambience was very cosy even though it was a very busy Wednesday night! Would definitely recommend to Azzurro to friends and plan on going back myself very soon!
Azzurro Restaurant – DidsburyQuality food and quality service. I never thought I would find anything other than a mediocre chinese restaurant out of the city centre. Great take out and delivery service also.
Laughing Buddha – DidsburySet Menu: 2 courses, £16; 3 courses, £20 (available Tuesday to Thursday from 5.30pm)
