Laughing Buddha – DidsburyThe noisy bustling atmosphere and good service make it a treat to come here, but in comparison to other Pizza Express restaurants in Cheadle and Manchester centre, the pizza toppings are scanty. You can count the number of capers or sultanas on the various pizza and they are minimum and always the same. Other than that - it could be a great restaurant
Pizza Express – DidsburyHad a fabulous evening at Azzurro! The food was outstanding with an extensive menu (including fish & seafood menu) we had the steak and the perch, both were excellent!, the staff were great and the ambience was very cosy even though it was a very busy Wednesday night! Would definitely recommend to Azzurro to friends and plan on going back myself very soon!
Azzurro Restaurant – DidsburyQuality food and quality service. I never thought I would find anything other than a mediocre chinese restaurant out of the city centre. Great take out and delivery service also.
Laughing Buddha – DidsburyNice traditional cosy pub with good selection of food. We enjoyed every mouthful. The beer garden was cool especially with the new massive heated umbrellas. I'm liking all the cask ales too. My wife likes her wine so she was happy with the choice. I wonder if they light the fires in winter?
Didsbury, The – DidsburyDelicious oriental food with no MSG anywhere in sight. Forget the typical Chinese.. this is REAL oriental food. Finger-licking good food and generous portions! Also, as far as prices go, this is more than reasonable for both what's on offer and location!
Laughing Buddha – DidsburyHaving enjoyed Jem and I before and with reasons to celebrate I took my boyfriend there for his first visit; his expectations were high but I have to say Jem and I delivered at all levels! The food was superb, the waiting staff very friendly and enthusiastic and the ambience lovely. We had a great time and they made our celebration(unknowingly) that much more special....I would have no hesitation in recommending a visit or two....
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyProbably the best all round restaurant in the greater Manchester area. Nothing has ever disappointed and the only reason it costs more than it should is because we always have too many bottles of wine from the exceptional list!
Lime Tree – DidsburyOne of the best meals I have had out recently. Very interesting menu, lots of simple, good Italian food, quality produce, very long list of fish specials which is always good. Lovely staff (the waiter has a strange habit of backing away from you when he reads the specials, which I found rather amusing!). Recommend chargrilled squid with chilli. Much better (and much more Italian) than the other Italian restaurant in 'fashionable West Didsbury'. A welcome addition to a bursting restaurant scene on Burton Road.
Azzurro Restaurant – DidsburyI'm a regular here. If you fancy something different then this is for you. The menu is divided into 3 : Fish, chicken and veggies - guess it keeps costs down. Personally I find the veggies interesting - Moong beans and the okra are good. Even though there is a small menu don't be surprised if your selection is out of stock and that includes the wine ! The 2 ladies that run the show are polite and hard working - occasional mistakes on orders are made - but remember its the charm, the ambiance, the tasty food and cheap prices which are the forte here. If you want waiters and waitresses watching your every mouthful then try the overpriced place opposite.
Cachumba – DidsburyThis is the best Chinese I have been to. Can not fault it, It manages to be a city centre standard restaurant in the burbs. The staff are so friendly and professional, and the food is the best ever. I wont eat anywhere else now. Highly recommended.
Laughing Buddha – Didsburywent on saturday night, menu good selection, food was well presented, generous portions tasty and interesting. would go back again we had two course with no wine, but could end up being pricey with desert and wines so watch out
Bistro West 156 – DidsburyEasily one of the best Indian restaurants in Manchester. Forget Rusholme, where all the food looks and tastes the same, Moon offers authentic Indian cuisine for a modest price. Okay, the decor may be a little dated, stuck in the 70's but for a curry you can't beat it
Moon Indian Restaurant – DidsburyHad a delicious meal here. Would totally recommend it, very reasonably priced and unbelievably tasty food.
Bistro West 156 – DidsburyI have been going to the GG for over 5 years and it is still one of the best "Indians" in and around Manchester. No hesitation to recommend it
Gurkha Grill – DidsburyBistro 156 is a great little restaurant. It offers a short menu of well presented, superbly cooked dishes which are excellent value for money. The set menu is exceptional value for money and the service is relaxed and friendly. Highly recommended.
Bistro West 156 – DidsburyWe went to Aladdin on 12/5/05 as we had family over from Venezuela and some of our party of 8 had been here before. The area is OK and has on street parking. The food was fab - just what we wanted and the staff were very obliging. (My only criticism is that the music was too loud and you couldn't hear the people you were with talking very well). We would definitely go back to this restaurant.
Aladdin – DidsburyWe visited jem and I for Sunday lunch. On arrival, the waitress literally threw us to our table, which incidentally was so close to another table, it felt like we were one big happy family. The food itself was fantastic and great value for money. The service remained the same throughout the meal; the waiting staff seemed disinterested and in no hurry to make us feel welcome. In fact, we were made to feel like we were putting the waitress out of her way by ordering drinks! Tables were crammed which was disappointing. However, the food itself was outstanding and for the price (£14) we cannot grumble. In summary, wonderful food, shame the staff don? share the same ethos.
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburySet Menu: 2 courses, £16; 3 courses, £20 (available Tuesday to Thursday from 5.30pm)
