Excellent food and service. My only minor gripe would be that, like many of the Burton Road establishments, the restaurant is a bit draughty as the door opens directly into the dining area.

Azzurro Restaurant – DidsburyAlways great food. Try the pate!! Stuffed onions were also a winner..
Bistro West 156 – DidsburyThe Didsbury pub is a truly cosy "country" pub but in the middle of Didsbury. Real log fires in Winter complete the romantic feel. Ideal place for a first date. Absolutely outstanding choice of real beers, or so my boyfriend tells me, and all kept beautifully!
Didsbury, The – DidsburyA great little place hidden behind the blinds. Food is excellent from the shot menu, especially for the price, and although it's unfortunately no longer byo, the wine list is reasonably priced. A great little place that stands out from the crowd.
Cachumba – DidsburyI own a restaurant and love going to this one as the food is great and the staff are fantastic. Being a restaurateur makes you more critical but I have no complaints and it? always a real treat to eat here. Its well worth a visit!
Lime Tree – DidsburyMy partner and I were really looking forward to eating at Green's. We love eating at good gourmet vegetarian restaurants and have chef Simon Rimmer's book, The Accidental Vegetarian, which is brilliant for high-quality everyday veggie cooking. Our first impressions, to be honest, were not great. First, you walk in and sit down to a backdrop of pumping music that would be more appropriate for a pub or bar than a gourmet restaurant. It didn't make for the most relaxing meal. Second, our first offering was the complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic options. Mistake! The bread was way too full on to accompany an olive oil and frankly the olive oil was totally flavourless. Tasted like one of those olive oil light cooking oils that you get from the supermarket. Bit more research needed on both bread and oil Simon! However, thankfully, the rest of the food was FANTASTIC. Simple, straightforward menu excellently prepared with fresh ingredients, cooked beautifully and with care. Loved the Roquefort cheesecake and both the butternut squash gnocchi and roulade. Creme Brulee, aside from being a tiny bit too burnt, was creme at its best (and I've made creme brulees a mission in life) and the vanilla cheesecake creamy and sumptuous. Clearly these guys are an authority on cheesecakes of all kinds. A word about wine selection. They should do a sparkling wine by the glass, which they don't, and the range could be more extensive. But all round a really yummy veggie meal. Not up there with Denis Cotter at Cafe Paradiso in Cork or Terre a Terre in Brighton, but great nonetheless.
Greens – DidsburyAs restaurants go this was something a bit special. Great food, superb service and Ambience that made me not want to leave. The laughing Buddha has rekindled my love for Chinese cooking
Laughing Buddha – DidsburyEasily in my top 3 restaurants in Manchester. The food is outstanding. My friends are starting to lose patience with my constant requests to go here. I really am lost for words to describe the food here. I?e been at least ten times in the last four months. Don? even think about it, just go and see for yourself.
Bistro West 156 – DidsburySimply Outstanding! This Place Is So Well Perfect! Seems To Be Very Traditional In Character While Up With The Times!
Metropolitan – DidsburyWhat Can I Say That Hasn? Been Said! This Place Is A Gem. Well Worth A Travel If You Are From City Centre Luckily For Me I Live Local.
Greens – DidsburyQuality place, very London
Metropolitan – DidsburyReally enjoyed the whole experience.
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyAfter leaving the UK some 18 years ago to live in Southern Spain, never returning home during this time, I really missed good old fashioned Indian food. On arrival at Manchester I was recommended by family to try the Sangam - a recommendation worth every mouthful - I returned to Spain with my taste buds revived....Thank you Sangam 2.
Sangam 2 – DidsburyI have to recommend the full breakfast in here, it is delicious! For me it is the quality of the sausage which completes this traditional English dish, and this place really got it spot on. Saints and Scholars is a great place to go on a Sunday, relaxing ambience combined with a very deep European, reassuring vibe. Music was good, the staff very professional as well as beautiful. It's a true reflection of what Didsbury stands for, and is the perfect place to have a relaxing afternoon.
Saints Bar and Kitchen – DidsburyExcellent food and service at a modest price. Nice atmosphere too. Worth a visit if you have not been there before
Laughing Buddha – DidsburyExcellent and varied selection of meals and good wine list, very friendly staff, will definitely go back....great olives!
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyEnjoyed a wonderful meal, our waiter was brilliant, very knowledgeable. I had venison, cooked to perfection. A very good selection of wines and not overpriced. Will definitely return when next in area.
Lime Tree – DidsburyYes as good if not better than its sister in rusholme, well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed. Also serves Thai food but we haven? tried it.
