Visited this restaurant with 7 other women and we had a ball. The food was great, the quantity was just perfect and the pudding just hit the spot. The price we thought was not bad at all for the quality food. The service was pretty good considering the restaurant was extremely busy. Will definitely visit again.

The Quality of food was good, but the quantity was very very poor. We were a party of 6 and we all agreed that this place is WELL OVER PRICED.

Try the duck Pizza!

We visited Jem and I the first week it opened a couple of years ago, and were hugely impressed as both food and service were out of this world. We particularly reminisce about the melt in your mouth lamb (sadly no longer on the menu- and the chocolate pots!). Having raved to all our friends we have returned on numerous occasions, the last being yesterday night for my 30th birthday celebration, only to have our anticipations dashed. I always go out of my way to be a polite and courteous customer but found the staff to be surly and cold beyond belief. I really don't expect to get a dirty look when ordering a £20 bottle of wine and nearly £100 worth of food. We would like to look forward to our next visit, however I doubt this will occur, as it appears Jem and I have been unable to maintain the extremely high standards of service of their debut, gravely disappointing as this restaurant truly stood out against the competition. A great shame as the food continues to be fantastic, come on Jem, you can still rectify this, and when you do, we will be the first to enjoy your company once more.

I have been a regular at the Met for 5 years or more and can honestly say that it has never been better. The food is the best of its type in South Manchester and the beer although more expensive than some always comes in a clean glass and with a smile. The atmosphere is buzzing no matter what night and the Met is always a great environment to enjoy an evening with friends.

Went for Sunday lunch, Set menu £14.95 with 5 choices of starter,main and dessert. Food was excellent but service was on the poor side, this could have been due to good weather tables had been placed outside and was busier than usual. Well worth a try.

Excellent restaurant

Really excellent food and chilled out atmosphere. Portions were generous, and although not cheap the prices are fair considering the standard of food. Only down side is the service - on our visit, there was one excellent waitress who was cheery and courteous, her colleague however was rather sullen and had to be reminded of the drinks order a couple of times before they arrived. Overall though a big thumbs up!!

My girlfriend took me here for our first meal out together. We were both made to feel very relaxed and the wine waiter was very charming.

First visit for 5 years and I can't imagine why we let that gap happen. The food was superb - top quality ingredients cooked to perfection. The service was very friendly and the price was much less than I anticipated.
