Lovely food and service , and lovely atmosphere. One of my fav places in manchester
The Art of Tea – DidsburyWe discovered "Art Of Tea" as we drove past it on a midweek day in late February 2022. We found a place to park and called in, it was a pleasant surprise quirky little tea room with a library situated at the back of the shop. It was busy with a mixture of students and family's but managed to find a table for two. It was lunch time so we choose the Scrambled Egg on Sourdough and Poached Eggs on sourdough washed down with an English breakfast Tea and a cappuccino. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere a warm welcome from our waitress (didn't get her name). We enjoyed it so much we booked for the Saturday with 2 of our friends. Again we was not disappointed. We booked in for 4:30 for the teatime menu. Its a small menu though they do chef specials. What a great evening we had, food was excellent, wine and beer chilled we left around 8:30 pm See you again very soon.
The Art of Tea – DidsburyDelicious food and very good service. Went midweek so very quiet and not much atmosphere. Unfortunately had run out of poppadoms but, the other starters were lovely
Dhoom Dhaam – DidsburyCosy atmosphere, authentic food, great wine - a perfect relaxing evening with friends!
The Art of Tea – DidsburyWe had a great time as a Perry of four. Never been to Goa but I imagine that this cuisine was as close to the Indian area as the owners origins suggest. Great food with subtle spice flavours. Excellent seafood
Dhoom Dhaam – DidsburyVisiting The Art of Tea is always a lovely experience. The staff are friendly and down to earth, the atmosphere is super relaxed and cosy and the food is super tasty too! It’s a real gem of a place and I hope it remains in Didsbury for a long time to come.
The Art of Tea – DidsburyThis place deserves to be far better known and far more successful. The staff are fab, the specials board is a source of delight with vegan food that also delighted my meat eating partner. The vegan mezze and the vegan meatballs are amazing. The pizzas are great too. The Georgian wines are amazing. That and amazing second hand books and music. Why isn’t this place famous?
The Art of Tea – DidsburyAmazing place, went for Valentine’s Day and even though I turned up early they catered to us and made us welcome. The food was incredible, the lamb melted in my mouth and the staff were all friendly and helpful.
Dhoom Dhaam – DidsburyFood ok, nothing special though. Young waiter very nice. However another waiter who brought food leaned over us to put plates down, or asked us to pass to someone, we were only a party of 5, so thought he should've walked round. There is a 10% discretionary service charge. I really do not like this when restaurants add this as it is uncomfortable to challenge this when you have guests. Doubt will return.
Dhoom Dhaam – DidsburyPoppadoms on this visit a bit stale tasting, not crisp. Main course lukewarm. Previous visits excellent.
Dhoom Dhaam – DidsburyBack again and not disappointed. We had a Lebanese dish off the specials board and it was fabulous . The chef took time out to talk through ingredients which was lovely. He has a real passion for his work. One of my favourite places and well worth a visit.
The Art of Tea – DidsburyReally great meal , started with a delicious cocktail and followed by a section of lovely starters. Staff were friendly and welcoming and willing to amend a dish to cater for personal taste. Was busy on a Saturday evening and service was a bit slow when it came to pay. Not a major problem and we were grateful not to feel rushed through the meal. Will be back ASAP!
Dhoom Dhaam – DidsburyEnjoyed the meal but slow service, ( Sat night )more staff needed , Chicken Jalfreze is onion based! please do not add raw peppers ! other wise excellant.
Dhoom Dhaam – DidsburyDelicious pickle tray and poppadoms, starters were stunning, main courses were absolutely awful
Dhoom Dhaam – DidsburyLovely food, for a reasonable price in Manchester. On the table we had a mix of meat and vegan options all of which looked and tasted very nice. Atmosphere was ok, but went on a quiet Sunday evening so hard to judge properly. Prices were as to expect in Manchester and couldn't really fault the service.
Dhoom Dhaam – DidsburyAmazing good & experience!
