Staff very nice best carvery I've had.
Marr Lodge – DoncasterFantastic food lost count of the amount of times I've been, even going back in a few days for Birthday meal with the girls :)
Cactus Jacks – DoncasterHi, me and my husband had our wedding reception at Relish on 13/11/12. We were very dissapointed. We waited for 20 minutes until my husband had to approach a memebr of staff for us to be served. We had over 20 guests and I thought with bringing that many people to eat there that I thought that me and my husband might of got a free glass of wine.(because of us getting married). The only thing we was offered was one stamp and a loyalty card. We didnt even get a congratulations. The only thing that was to excellent standard was the food.
Relish Bar and Grill – DoncasterVisited Marr Lodge on Sunday for a 70th Birthday lunch 16 adults and 4 children. Had carvery food spot on good choice. Staff friendly and very helpfull.
Marr Lodge – DoncasterNo Service , No Staff, No idea!!!.Christmas day ruined for 11 family members who had traveled as far as 800 miles to be there for a family occasion . When we arrived we were left for 45 mins before we were seated and then put on a table only suitable for 8 people, Which was squeezed into the corner of the room with access to leave only from one side, Should anybody wish to leave the table then everybody from that side of the table had to stand so the person could leave the table. We had to wait a further 15 mins before someone took our order for our starters even though we had been promised our own personal waitress ( this does not mean sharing with any other tables). Thirty mins later I had to ask where our starters were. As I was seated in the corner I did not return to the table as I did not want to disturb the party again , hence I did not have my starter.I spent the rest of 30 mins trying to locate a better table. Failing to do this I asked the waitress to clear the table so we could start our main course and then I decided as the waiting area emptied we would take several tables there as we were less crowded although we were not seated together this being the lesser of two evils. After we had eaten I had to track down a waitress to clear the table a second time and take our order for dessert, this arrived 45 mins later by then everyone was fed up as we had been there for two and half hours.Once dessert was over I had to track our waitress a third time to get our coffees which were suppose to arrive with mince pies which I had to get up again and request those again. The atmosphere had deteriorated with other parties dining at the restaurant who were experiencing the same problems that we were experiencing.Furthermore it is totally inappropriate for senior members of staff to argue with raised voices within ear shot of the entire restaurant and then complain to other diners about those customers. It was the worst experience we have ever had ,£500 pounds totally wasted . NEVER AGAIN at the PICKBURN ARMS, as many others will agree who attended for their special occasion.
Pickburn Arms – DoncasterWe visit Olivers at least once a fortnight. Fish and chips are excellent. Must mention also their home made ( secret recipe} meat pie . All food cooked fresh and delicious.
Oliver’s – DoncasterWent for lunch today - second time in a week- the fish and chips were as good as I have ever tasted. (that includes The Wetherby Whale and Harry Ramsdens. These are vthe best fish and chips in South Yorkshire
Oliver’s – DoncasterMy wife and I visit Toscana on a regular basis .Dino and all his staff are very friendly and the food is simply delicious. Would highly recommend to everybody to give it a try.
Trattoria Toscana – DoncasterReally friendly service, lovely food - big portions, all home cooked and very fresh (no boil in the bag!). The prices were excellent and my family thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Would go again and again!
Marr Lodge – DoncasterThis shop holds a Fish and Chip Quality Award from the National Federation of Fish Friers which puts it among the top 200 fish and chip shops in the UK. With over 10,500 fish and chip shops in the UK, this shop is first in its class. It has certainly set new standards for fish and chip shops in Doncaster
Oliver’s – DoncasterWe've visited here several times lately and always had a good reception from the friendly staff. The food has been great, although the range is a little limited. No problems with the quality or the service!
Horse and Groom – DoncasterI took my husband for his 60th birthday and once there the rest of the family jumped out and surprised him. We had a good night. The food was very good and then they brought wigs, hats and instruments out and we all had a good laugh.
San Remo – Doncastervisited the marr lodge for the first time on sunday..and have to say the place was very friendly and welcoming. The carvery was spot on and good value for money!!!! would recommend it to anyone...excellent customer service as well!
Marr Lodge – Doncasterrecently visited The Marr Lodge for a meal with my family. The menu was very well presented and the food was lovely. Just under new management and the new manager made us feel very welcome. Definitely a place i will be visiting again. Thank you for a great experience
Marr Lodge – DoncasterI have to say I have visited many carverys all over the country. This has to be the worst yet. Very disappointing. The only saving grace was the meat. That wasn't bad but other than that it was appalling.Roast Potatoes - floppy rubbery not a bit of substance Cabbage - heavily coated in black pepper Peas and Sweetcorn - not to bad but again coated in pepper. But cheapest they could findCarrots - coated in pepper.Mash - smash comes to mind. That or frozen elasticly thick substance Gravy - salty , in fact I was left with a salty taste at the end the end of the partial meal I ate.Broccoli , I didn't get to see any as one of our party had the dregs and they had ran out. But she wasn't impressed either. Yorkshire pudding - often the greatest part of a roast but not in this case, I couldn't even describe it , maybe an edible flannel ? A party of 7 and not one of us cleared our plates. This was a gift for fathers day , If your looking to impress or make a special day, go somewhere else. I am regretful to say these words but it can't go unsaid as I was advised against going but ignored the advice as it was convenient, it's a waste of money time and effort going to marr lodge. One point to make , they did have signs up looking for a new chef. ,maybe that is why.So , the food ... Rubbish Now let's move on to the service.Wasn't rude , but by no means polite, what is the point of asking " was everything ok " yes normally like everyone else I normally say " yes thank you " even if it is slightly off but this time I couldn't , I really needed to let them know how poor it was so I replied ... " pretty disappointing actually" the waitress replies , ok and walks off. Well anyway I won't be going back. !Subnote : the fact it wasn't packed on fathers day says I am not alone.
Marr Lodge – DoncasterWe ate here the other day and had a fantastic meal. We felt very comfortable in the traditional surroundings but the real find here was the food. All home cooked and definitely not out of a packet!! We will be back and with friends next time! Highly recommended.
Bay Horse Inn – DoncasterSo glad we found this place! Grate food in an unexpected surroundings and perfect for the kids, the inflatable play area is the best we have ever seen. We will be back!

The restaurant has a great atmosphere, lovely decorated, very clean and a very warm welcome.Well done Dino and we will be back
