Tabby Terrace – DorchesterWe took our grandchildren to the Tabby Terrace yesterday having been last July and they were so excited to go there again. They particularly wanted to see Bean again as last time we were there he got into one of the girls' bags and we nearly brought him home with us but luckily he was able to stay where he belongs! Sadly I didn't get a photo of this event! Anyway we much enjoyed our repeat visit and meeting the lovely cats again with the new addition Sushi who was great fun and loved being shunted around in her cardboard box . We had delicious paninis and were sad when our visit came to an end. We'll be back again as the girls love visits to the Tabby Terrace. We do hope at our next visit we can sit nearer the front as we had a table at the back and prefer being near the bay window in front as we were on our first visit. This didn't detract from our enjoyment at seeing the lovely cats again as luckily they were quite active on our repeat visit. The staff are all lovely and we enjoyed chatting to them.
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterWe had a wonderful time at Tabby Terrace. I took my niece as a birthday present to celebrate turning 16. She adores cats and thought this would be the perfect place. We was greeted cheerfully and the staff was extremely friendly and pleasant. We was seated in the bay window on the cushions and although two of us struggled to stand up, we didnt mind at all. Gave us a laugh. Kids kept coming over to see the two cats that were there which was a little frustrating as they seated themselves when we stood up but again, didnt mind. We had coffee and a bit of lunch and it was excellent. The cats were sleeping but we didn't mind. When they did wake up we had a cheeky little tabby wanting to snuggle in my sisters coat which was funny. My niece got to stroke the kitties and didn't want to leave. The cafe was clean and tidy and didnt smell bad at all. We wasn't kept waiting long for our order and the food arrived quickly. Absolutely fantastic and would recommend. I felt so peaceful. Thank you for looking after us, team. Will hopefully be back soon. XX
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterI visited with my teen, her two friends and their mum yesterday, the cats were adorable, running around, jumping, playing, having fun, well looked after, the cheeky all black one will nab your food if you’re not quick, we found it endearing and funny lol.. the paninis were delicious, the young ladies serving were really polite and the £2.50 entry fee is worth it, my daughter has been twice now and we would go again, thank you
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterIt was a last minute decision to take my daughter's for a drink in the cafe. We arrived full of anticipation for a lovely time but we're quite disappointed with the service which was very slow. The two very young girls were doing their best but were clearly a little overwhelmed by the volume of work. They were unsure as to our booking being valid and where we where to sit but it was sorted soon enough. We waited 20 minutes for the rules to be handed to us by which time I had stroked one of the cats without sanitizing my hands. We considered leaving before ordering as we did not feel particularly valued as customers. However we decided to stay and had a drink which was fairly decent. We all decided we had not been enticed to go back again. The cats are clearly well looked after.
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterAbsolutely fabulous place. Warm and welcoming with really cute cats too who were so entertaining. Definitely come again. The £2.50 per person is a bargain and reasonably price.
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterMade a booking for yesterday to see the cats. Had hot chocolate and slice of yummy victoria sponge. Will be back soon.
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterNot great. Smells of damp and mould totally toxic. Cats and staff friendly but general atmosphere stinks literally. Food was ok minus cat hairs, gross!!
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterMy Granddaughter and myself visited yesterday and we loved it, the cats were great and very entertaining to watch. Will definitely visit again .
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterWe spent a lovely hour yesterday. My four children and my husband and I all love cats and they were adorable running around and jumping on the table and our laps. The atmosphere was very friendly and the food and service was wonderful. We will definitely go again.
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterMy son and I enjoyed our experience at Tabby Terrace so much we booked back in to return in the afternoon! The food and drinks were lovely, the staff were wonderful and the cats were adorable. My only criticism would be that they might impose a limit on number of young children as I have seen other cat cafes do or else police the behaviour a little more closely, just because there were a lot of children repeatedly following the cats around when they very clearly wanted to be left alone. That said, the staff clearly had a lovely relationship with and cared about the cats very much.
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterA lovely cafe and the most well behaved cats ever! The service is second to none and so friendly and caring. The cats are the cutest things ever and so friendly and so well behaved. This is excellent value for money as you are helping a local business and four cats.
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterI brought my grandchildren to the Tabby Terrace yesterday and booked in advance so they wouldn’t be disappointed if they couldn’t get in! We were all absolutely delighted with the visit, the children have just rescued kittens themselves and what a lovely hour it was. Friendly cats, delightful staff and a perfect setting to enjoy drinks and yummy cake too- we’ll be back! Thankyou x
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterA lovely time was had by my granddaughter and myself. The food was lovely, especially the gluten free bread, it was just like proper bread. We had a lovely time. They were also so understanding when my grandson came to meet us and was sick on the floor, there was no fuss and it was just cleared away. We will definitely be back again when my grandchildren come to visit again. Thank you cat cafe.
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterSpent a lovely morning having drinks and breakfast. The four cats were a delight, they are very well cared for and are playful and affectionate. We booked for 10am during the week, we had the place and the cats to ourselves for about an hour until another couple arrived. This is a great ‘start up’ and I hope it will be well supported- we will definitely go again. There is a £2.50 charge per person- this seems to upset some reviewers. I think it is great value- the cats need feeding and regular vet visits, £2.50 is less than most cat cafes.
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterThis was my second visit after visiting back in September. Both visits have been amazing and if I lived closer I would visit the cafe much more regularly as the staff have always been fantastic, served lovely drinks and the food I have seen others have has looked good (although I am yet to try the food). When I went sunday lunch time the place was relatively busy but the staff handled it well and even apologised for there only being 2 of them on, for me there was no need to apologise as they still did fantastic (although I'm sure for them they were run off their feet!). My only comment would be that we got slightly less time with the cats as they seem to prefer being around near the drinks counter/window cat tree is but cats will be cats and we can't choose where they are going!
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterTook my wife here for a birthday treat, coffee's, service and staff were excellent. The cats were really cute and very playfull which added to a great time. We didn't have food but I can imagine it would be top notch. Would highly recommend a visit to for any cat lover. If your not you will be after a visit.
Tabby Terrace – DorchesterWe had a lovely time celebrating my son’s birthday at Tabby Terrace - he & my daughter loved it and fully intend to return! They were so happy to find they could buy fun cat-based items that were for sale, too. In quite a few of the other reviews, I notice criticisms about it being expensive. And it does cost more than your average cafe but I feel it’s justified as you are getting a unique experience which is far more special and memorable than anything a normal tearoom or coffee shop can offer. The kittens were very sweet, we only really saw Sushi but he more than made up for the others by absolutely spoiling us with attention. My only complaint would be that it was very cold, so after 90 minutes we were refrigerated! Don’t know if their heating had failed but on looking I couldn’t see any sign of a heater anywhere in the cafe…. Tabby Terrace was very popular when we visited - fully booked all day - and we hope people continue to flood in. With so many high street shops closing, it’s such a pleasure to see enterprising small businesses like this that offer something refreshingly different.
