Red Alligator – Bishop AucklandCome here regularly for mid week tea out with the family or weekend catch up with the girls. Fab service, amazing food, warm and friendly atmosphere
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamOur meal was very nice. There was plenty of choice and the portions were a good size
Hall Garth Hotel – Darlingtoncame with my husband for my birthday enjoyed the spa experience especially the cold plunge. The therapists were very friendly and professional treatment left us feeling relaxed. The afternoon tea was very varied and tasty warm scones with clotted cream and jam gorgeous. Only moan i had was there was no pool
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonFood and service was outstanding even accommodated for my autistic child ( who ate everything!).
Red Alligator – Bishop Auckland4 of us came for lunch and had a lovely table at the window looking over the golf course. The staff were attentive but not overbearing. The food was great especially the desserts which we tried because our daughter and their son are getting married there in October. Overall a wonderful experience.
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonMet up with family for lunch midweek. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The chicken with haggis was very tasty and the Yorkshire pudding pie with mash was excellent. We had a walk round the village and saw lots of interesting remains of Roman buildings. A local resident told us about the Roman forts and settlements in the area, an unexpected added bonus. We returned to the George for coffee and cheesecake (wonderful). Great day, great food. Will visit again.
The George of Piercebridge – DarlingtonExcellent food and drink, great service excellent value for money.
Red Alligator – Bishop AucklandLovely meal yet again can fault it or the staff will be back
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamLast night myself and my partner decided to have date night at the farmhouse, food and service was absolutely amazing. The downfall we experienced was a family out with 2 children allowing children to run along the seats and be extremely loud. The louder the children were the adults got louder. Everyone could hear the conversation between the adults and it’s just not what we wanted. We ate our meal and left the restaurant part and went round the other side to finish our drinks
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamFabulous food, lovely atmosphere and great service. We only had one downside, that was portions too big but for some that is a plus .
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamHad a lovely night with friends. The food was very tasty. It was a Tuesday night so quite quiet but as there was a group of us it didn’t matter. The only downside was they switched the heating off so it was cold by the time we left
Gussto Tapas Bar – DurhamLovely food and reasonably priced, the service was fantastic
The George of Piercebridge – DarlingtonAfternoon tea gorgeous and fresh Maybe scones could be warmed Butter too hard so cheese scone broke up Since the last time I visited the place has been renovated so looks fab Suprised the pool has gone and the steam room but enjoyed sauna plunge pool The wood gets wet and a lot of people skipped with the white slippers on Maybe another sofa in the wellness room Treatment was fab
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonGreat service and great value. Thoroughly enjoyed food. Only issue is number of supplements on 3 course for £10 menu- just up the price to £15 and stop supplements. Still good value. Room very cold
The Farmers Arms – DurhamHad the Happy Hour menu. Potato Skins nice. Garlic Mushrooms nice. Lasagne ok. Rump steak and chips disappointing. Steak small and only chips to accompany. The meal looked poor when served and I wouldn’t have it again for a £4 supplement.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamWe ordered chicken parmesan and the chicken is raw and uncooked. Very disappointed with the quality of the food.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamVisited for lunch with my 4 friends from Croatia. Loved it, great pub lovely relaxed atmosphere, great food. My Mates a Brit and really misses proper English pubs and this ticked all the boxes. Thank
