Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamBooked for Sunday lunch 10/11/24. Although it appeared very busy, staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgable therefore service was prompt. Excellent choice of 4 meats and a wide variety of vegetables. Would definitely recommend a booking.
Red Alligator – Bishop AucklandHad the afternoon spa with treatment and afternoon tea which was great value for money. Treatment was lovely and the outdoor hot tub was lovely too. Great value for what we paid !
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonBooked table for 6.30, arrived early but seated. Left until 6.40 for order to be taken, starters arrived in 20 mins, not asked if more drinks were required or how food was. Starters cleared then waited another 25 mins for main. Food was good and good value but service could be so much better.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamVisited the Farmera Arms in shadforth, durham, for an anniversary meal with my partner, chose thos venue because it was close to us, had good reviews and photos looked good. Venue was lovely, food was delicious and the 3 course meal for £10 was amazing value for money. Best meal I've had in a while. My only feedback is that the place could do with a paint touch up in some areas. But this is a minimal complaint in comparison with the food and deal we received. Tha k you
The Farmers Arms – DurhamReally lovely food, we stayed overnight for dinner bed and breakfast package. We had cheese soufflé starter and I had feather blade beef for main and my wife had stone bass. The service was great and the food was well presented. After having the starter and main course we couldn’t manage a dessert. I would highly recommend the restaurant. You can also choose from the pub menu too even though you are in the restaurant. So if soon the bar menu grabs your eye you can have that as well.
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleVisited on the 2/11/24 for dinner food was beautiful I was shocked at the size of the pie I got it was massive will definitely be back
Red Alligator – Bishop AucklandPoor experience. Sat us next to the fire escape which was used as a revolving door for children to come in and out from outside - it’s November so it’s freezing with the doors open. Service was slow and just not a great atmosphere. The revamp hasn’t really improved anything
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamThe food was very tasty and well presented.
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonBooked the table at 6 as we knew we had to leave at 7.30 as we had tickets for Auckland at 8. Our food didn’t come until nearly 7.15. Food was absolutely delicious but couldn’t really enjoy it as had to eat it so quickly to go. Paid for the 2 course happy hour but only had 1 course and no discount offered. A shame as the food was so good but the wait was too long.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamHappy hour 3 course meal great value for money. Portion sizes were well worth it. Highly recommend the chocolate fudge cake for dessert. Friendly staff and good vibes.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamWe enjoyed a delicious family meal here at the weekend. Warm welcome, great service and good prices. Wholeheartedly recommend and we look forward to returning again on our next visit to Durham. Thank you Pesto Italiano!
Pesto Italiano – DurhamAbsolutely beautiful food
The Farmers Arms – DurhamI’ve visited a few times for the 3 courses for £10 deal and have been completely impressed by the quality, portions and service every time, as have the other diners in my party. It’s a lovely relaxed and friendly restaurant and bar. The staff are all incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamFantastic Sunday lunch, Went for the 3 course special for £19.95, great value for money Only minor gripe service was a bit slow and not that busy
The Farmers Arms – DurhamHad lunch on Tuesday. A nice warm welcome. We treat ourselves to a steak. Food was cooked just the way we asked for, but the chips were to die for. Will definitely be back.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamMy mum and I had a lovely afternoon. The treatments were very relaxing and the staff very polite. Our afternoon tea was very good and we were given a a carry out bag to take home the remainder of the cakes. Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Atmosphere 4/5 Value for money 3/5 ... This is our 5th spa this year and although it was lovely it lacked a little comfort.... The wooden loungers were uncomfortable and the plastic glasses for the water were well worn. Floors were slippy ( I appreciate this may be unavoidable in some places). Over all it was a lovely experience
