Kolapata – East LondonKolapata meaning banana leaf in Bangladeshi is a great restaurant for everyone! Waiters were polite & knowledgeable about the menu & were even able to make recommendations about how much food to order for our rather large group. The food was really good & the portions were just on par with what we needed. THE ambience is a bit different, walls are just plain white with neon green light hidden in the ceiling and some native music playing, they do however have a rather neat fish tank in the back portion of the restaurant. All in all I would say it was a great experience & I would return to Kolapata if ever in the area again.
Kolapata – East LondonFood was fantastic and the waiters were super friendly & helpful for non Bangladesh natives that we is, I hope to be go again soon
Kolapata – East Londonprobably the cheapest restaurant on brick lane, good food, good value.
Sheraz – East LondonLovely Chicken Balti, perfectly spiced :) Great Place to eat!! If you like, bring your own wine and beer!
Aladdin – East LondonGreat eats, I wish I was a bit bigger so I could eat more.
Baraka Eatery – East LondonThis is the first time I have visited a restaurant that serves traditional Bangladeshi fish dishes without compromising on taste. On my visit I found it to be frequented by mainly Bangladeshi and Asian customers as the say if a Chinese person eats in a Chinese restaurant then the food has to be good I dare you to put it to the test.
Grambangla Restaurant – East LondonI don't know why anyone said that this place was expensive before because for what you get it's the complete opposite. Only downside is the usual wait for food (don't go if you're in a hurry) but the food tastes fantastic!
Aladdin – East LondonTwo friends and I were wandering about the area looking for somewhere to eat when we spotted the Aladdin and thought it looked good. Lots of the other restaurants had staff outside hustle-ing for custom whilst the Aladdin did not and was busy inside regardless. A good sign for sure. We were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere convivial. The food was fantastic and although it did take a little while to be served the wait between courses added to the experience as each dish was so good. The poppadom and chutney to start with were of generous proportions and the dishes that followed were all so tasty. I had chicken and mango and it was delicious. I'm going back ASAP and can't wait!
Aladdin – East LondonI had a lovely plate of stew served up by Mum; I actually dined in one of the upstairs woodchip rooms after taking a bath in the old tin. Don't ask for a seat at the crack table as you are likely to get a clip round the ear for your cheek!
Archers, The – East LondonOne of the best currys I have eaten, the ambience reminds me of Dubai, it is just excellent. Try it out...
Baraka Eatery – East LondonHalf Moon nice place to meet. Food good, puddings excellent, booze cheap what more could ya want. Good place to take kids(if have any) for Sunday lunch. Saves cooking no washing up. Perfect.
Half Moon Theatre – East LondonBest Chinese in East London. Sunday Buffet wonderful, reasonably priced. Drinks bit pricey but hey who cares the food well makes up for it.
