Friendly staff, good food and well cooked and presented. Reasonable priced, good atmosphere. Have used in the past and will use again in the future.
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortAppalling. One of our party ordered a beef dinner. It came covered in lamb gravy which he couldn't eat. The waitress offered to give him another dry dinner or one with gluten free gravy which he kindly declined as the lamb juices had upset him. No problem she said there'll be no charge for your dinner. We continued with our decidedly average meal and then asked for the bill. Not only were we charged in full but there were extra drinks on it. I spoke to the barperson who told me they couldn't take the money off as they'd offered us an alternative and anyway we hadn't told them we didn't want the gravy. Really! I didn't expect lamb gravy on a beef dinner so why would I think to ask you not to serve it. The outcome I had to pay as they'd prepared it. If I'd had a second meal they'd have deducted it. Total farce. Incidentally 2 weeks prior to this my Mum was grossly overcharged £160 for 4 adults and 2 children's meals. Unfortunately she didn't realise at the time. I'll never go back and advise you all check your bills carefully.
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortVery disappointed with the service we waited over an hour after ordering our food before it appeared after we asked if there was a problem then felt that the quality was not as good as it could of been .Then when they cleared the table they only cleared 3 of the 4 plates and never came back or asked us if we required anything else so got the bill and left.
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortSuperb food & real ale, the best we had in 5 days in Cheshire. The Lamb kleftico was to die for. Staff were all excellent. We will return in December, the next time we are in Cheshire. A faultless evening we both enjoyed

We both had steaks thats were cooked to our liking perfectly, the garlic mushroom sauce was so nice and sweet potato fries really tasty. Best meal we have both had in years. Staff friendly and attentive.I would eat here again as the menu had much more I would like to try and want to bring our families.

The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortBest Sunday dinner for Miles! Had a bad week the week before but we returned to give them another chance and it was back to its best. Cannot fault the Sunday dinner at all. Great portion size, excellent quality of meat, veg Al dente. More pricey than other places but would much rather pay extra for amazing food than microwaved rubbish. Definitely worth the money!
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortFood was very tasty, although we waited half an hour to be served & another hour for the food to arrive.
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortSimply one of the best steaks I have ever had. 7oz welsh rump for less than £11. Waitress even managed to find me some Worcester sauce. Accompanied by a large glass of Malbec. Excellent.
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortFour for lunch this week Welcome and table location were fine and no issues with starters Mains were a different story and really disappointing. Two orders each of traditional fish and chips and two hunters chicken. Fish recipients described their meal as really dry with almost inedible rock hard batter As for the hunters chicken , it arrived in a mass of congealed cheese stuck to the bottom of the plate wrapped in the fattiest bacon ( I know the fat has flavour but come on ! ) and the chicken itself was unbelievably dry ! Had all meals been sat under a heat lamp too long ? Was it the chef’s day off ? Used to go here regularly and not been for a while due to obvious reasons, and will not be going back !
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortI had a delicious roast chicken dinner followed by a Bakewell tart. The service was great and it was a very pleasant dining experience.
