Fuxion Oriental – Ellesmere PortSuperb value and food all served up with a great big helping of friendliness.... First time last night and will be back for many more. Mamocha's (apologies for the spelling) are superb and a first for me. How do you give such great food at such great value. Thanks for a great meal Best wishes and see you soon (with friends) John
Light Of India – Ellesmere Portfantastic food!!! We went to celebrate a birthday and we were in a group of 9 people. I'm a vegetarian as is my 9 yr old daughter but we were spoilt for choice at Elements. We've been to many all you can eat buffet restaurants including overseas and I have to put elements top of my list of favourites. Its also extremely great value for money if like my husband you have a big appetite then it will suit you down to the ground. I'm definitely a fan of this place and can't wait to go again, hope this helps someone!
Fuxion Oriental – Ellesmere PortI read the reviews of this restaurant on this website and thought it would be good I was sadly disappointed when I went for a meal with my girlfriend. I ordered a medium steak with all the trimmings and my girlfriend ordered a linguini verdi off the specials when the steak come it was cooked well done and my girlfriends meal was dry and cold we sent them back only to get the same meal sent back to us warmed up in the microwave. My steak was cooked ok this time but the salad was the same salad and was rotten and chips where the same and had just been refried. This was quite possibly the worst meal I have ever been for. I am a Chef myself and this place is absolutely awful and well over priced
Bella Italia – Ellesmere PortBest Indian restaurant in Ellesmere Port and even in Cheshire. I try to go as often as possible. Staff are so friendly and hilarious. Teatime specials are a bargain. Highly recommended, again, don't be put off by location. Parking available just round the corner or make it a good night out and get a taxi!!
Light Of India – Ellesmere PortWent to the Hooton on Sunday 14/12/08 as I had heard about the Sunday carvery, and I was not disappointed. We were met by a very friendly member of staff who showed us to our table. She then told that we could choose from the Sunday menu or the carvery. We opted for the carvery which was the right choice. We could choose from 3 meats, fresh veg, Yorkshire pudding and lovely roast potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection and at £7.95 it was great value too. We will be returning to the Hooton very soon and I would recommend that anyone reading this should also visit.
The Hooton – Ellesmere PortWell i certainly DON'T recommend this pub/so called restaurant to anyone!! A family of 14 (that's including 1 toddler and 2 active babies) went for a BOOKED christmas lunch it was my son's 3rd birthday and also my mother in law's so it was a great chance for everyone to get together again for what we though sounded like a lovely meal, WELL we got poor service, and very very poor food!! We did not get the christmas lunch instead we got a poor carvery, meat that was so tough, dry, stringy, and over done, the roast potatoes were black and soggy, there was only 3 veg carrot's and sweetcorn which were not up to much but the sprouts were the only thing that was ok!! The pudding had so much brandy in the sauce it was unbelievable! i'm pregnant and didn't eat it all because of how strong it was i wasn't the only one. We all were waiting for coffee and mince pie's.... we didn't get the mince pie's. The service was poor we were there for 4 hours and it cost £15.95 a head!! We did complain but we were not taken seriously! Apparently we made the same complaint last year.. we wern't there last year!! Anyway i can write pages of what else was inadequate with this place..NEVER again shall we return.
The Hooton – Ellesmere PortNot good, food not freshly cooked, service slow and unhelpful.
Frankie and Bennys – Ellesmere PortI visited Jabula with my partner a few weeks back, following hearing a radio advert for it. My first impressions were not great, i struggled to find the front door, and was met by a young brunette lady and a young man, who proceeded to stare at me as if i was an alien and clearly not wanting a meal. Following me asking to eat we were seated, and from there it was a a truly fantastic experience. (i later found these were not usual front of house staff). I sat, then when another couple left, was offered their table with a better view. I listened to the small blonde ladies recommendations for a first timer and they were sublime, as was all the food we saw come out. It was tasty, relaxing, and a unforgettable experience. After a shaky start, we didn't want to leave. I really must stress whilst the food was fantastic, A+, the service was in a league of its own, so fast, so helpful, so smiley, I even offered the blonde waitress a job and tried to pinch her! If your on a corporate night out, go somewhere else as its loud and in your face... If your on a birthday, don't even think of going somewhere else! Head to Jabula... Authentic, tasty, friendly.
Jabula Restaurant – Ellesmere PortWe eat here as often as we can and can't recommend it highly enough! Excellent food, fantastic value and very friendly staff. In an unglamorous location but an absolute gem. Neil, Sue & family Feb 2008
Light Of India – Ellesmere PortMy family and I went for a meal here back in August 07. Thought the food was very nice, you got plenty. We all enjoyed it. The service was good. Most of all the toilets were clean. Recommend this restaurant.
Eastern Delights Restaurants – Ellesmere PortVery low cost, high value meal! I didn't realise that you could do so many things with chicken!
Nando’s – Ellesmere Portthe whole meal is delicious, the peri-peri sauce is to die for!! if you like chicken this is the place to go.
Nando’s – Ellesmere PortWonderful choice of oriental cuisine. soups, prawn toast and various starter; chips, rice noodles, vast selection of main dishes; followed by fresh fruit, gataux or ice cream!! and this was just a lunch option at £6.80!! Very friendly helpful service. Only need clearing plates between servings and taking drinks orders, but done with a friendly approach and a smile! Lovely. Best hoi sin sauce i've ever tasted!!
Fuxion Oriental – Ellesmere Portit was very good it made me so happy i could cry it was beautiful it was great i got the full works
Pizza Hut – Ellesmere PortGood food and service, visited on a Saturday evening and restaurant was full, did feel a little crammed in but atmosphere cheery enough, lots of regulars. Room a bit boring could do with a makeover, Not too pricey and would return, maybe midweek!
Little Tai Ping – Ellesmere PortIt seems no one else goes here!!! Lovely day so sat o/s under umbrellas, don? know if this was a good move or not as service was a tad too slow for my two year old this time. Food as good as ever. Shame about length of time between courses.
