Strada – ExeterI have lived in Exeter for the last 10 years and this has to be without a doubt Exeter's finest restaurant. The service rivals some fine dining venues in the area. With great product knowledge and a friendly warm yet balanced approach it's clear the staff revel in working in such a fine establishment. I'm pleased to say it's one of the only Italian restaurants that actually has a true Italian as it's Head Chef which is evident in the food. From talking to the chef, i discovered the food is sourced solely from Italy and is delivered daily. This is a refreshing change from precooked, reheated rubbish commonly found in high street restaurants of the area. The atmosphere is well balanced and the overall impression is that of a funky retro, modern Italian restaurant. You must try it!
Strada – ExeterJust eaten here to celebrate twenty years with my wife. Food and service was excellent. Lots of cafes with new Princesshay development but made the right choice.
Al Farid – ExeterThe service's really good and the food's nice. Only one drawback, the manager seemed a bit noisy as she was bossing around, talking and scolding her poor waitresses. However, it was a fantastic evening. we enjoyed having dinner there.
Thai Orchid Restaurant – ExeterWonderful friendly staff and the food was greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat. Would definitely come back
York Inn – ExeterThis restaurant is excellent if you like home cooked food the menu is fairly extensive. If you have children this is perfect as they have an indoors and an outdoors play area.
Cat and Fiddle Inn – ExeterA busy Thursday evening, so a booking was an excellent idea. Staff were friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable striking just the right balance of familiarity and genuine support (none of the false American 'Have a nice day!) The ambience was excellent and, though busy, we were never overwhelmed or claustrophobic as there is an open and airy feel to the place. Service was swift without ever feeling rushed or under pressure. The menu is varied and provides plenty of choice for most people. Our starters and main courses (Sea Bass & Rib Eye Steak) were excellent and the desserts were high quality and a suitable finale. I was more than happy with the experience and wholeheartedly recommend Strada, particularly if you receive the same superior service that we experienced!
Strada – ExeterOne of the best places i have been in a long while
Swans Nest Inn – ExeterHaving visited now about 5 times I love the place the food is excellent each time I’ve tried something different and have not been disappointed with any so try:- fishcakes monkfish and sweet potato thermadore veggie:- mushroom stroganoff field mushroom with??? my mouth waters at the thought The landlady is lovely always remembers us the perfect hostess also the wine is good they can recommend something to suit your taste and they periodically change their wine choices
Beer Engine Pub and Brewery – Exeterbeen coming here for years . dan and matt are by far the best landlords in the history of the 11a quest for the independent vibe. one minute Hendrix then Dylan mixed in with some Dj Shadow and Nina simone then Leadbelly and stuff that makes you go to the bar and find out who is pulsing from the speakers !!! chilled out to the max upstairs on the 2nd floor too. The pizza's.... oh the Pizza's, i was recommended a classic 12" from a lady whilst in London !!! that's good word of mouth !!
11a Church Street Restaurant and Bar – ExeterYou can eat ostrich, venison and get your steaks etc. The vegetables are all presented nice and tasty as well. I have put it is pricey, but it depends on what you have, if you have say venison you will pay the going rate for venison. The restaurant is in a small village.
Old Thatch Inn The – Exetergreat food at last
Kings Arms Inn – ExeterIf there is any place that I would rather go or be taken to for Sunday lunch, it has to be the Rodean. The food is quality, the service so comfy and efficient you do not want to leave, and the price so reasonable you can keep going back. We describe it to friends and to guests of our holiday accommodation as Silver service in your own fine dining room. Take me there any weekend, I am always available!
Rodean – ExeterI went there for the first time with my mother. She doesn? like spicy food but we just wanted something light for lunch. We ended having the soup which was a meal in its self. The waitress was very helpful with the suggestion. I Would definitely go there again.
Wagamama – Exeterlove the place, did my steak exactly how i wanted it and even brought out two different types uncooked so i could better decide. also allowed me to deviate from the set menu slightly to accommodate my larger appetite! well worth the money.
Countess Wear Beefeater – ExeterReally really enjoyed our meal here. The menu is better than the average Italian as there is also steaks and fish dishes as well as the pizza and pasta and risottos. Lovely waiter, the place was full on a Tuesday night so I would book if you want a table at the weekend. Bill was reasonable.
Strada – ExeterI was celebrating my 30th birthday and we had a fantastic time. I was sent a complimentary birthday shooter with a sparkler and the atmosphere was 'party'. The food was plentiful and good value for money, the staff very helpful. The cocktails are fantastic i could not make up my mind so the bartender made me a special one. There is a very stylish Lounge bar downstairs which is table service, very chic and exclusive and a refreshing change from all the circuit bars.
Starz Bar and Restaurant – Exeteri went with my partner for lunch weather was hot so we only went for a light bite. but i wanted to mention the quality of the desserts my partner a selection of sorbets and ice creams a selection of four all with fabulous fresh flavours you cant buy quality like that elsewhere. and i had the passion fruit assiette , a wonderfully light mousse melt in the mouth texture and remarkable flavour, a fantastic sorbet that cut through the tart like nothing i can describe they were truly remarkable and memorable. when we asked who had created such amazing treats we were told the pastry chef -Scott Paton is only nineteen ... WOW what a talent.
