Kenton Park Estate – ExeterWe celebrated a birthday with 3 generations of family with a lunch in a safari hut in the vineyard at Kenton Park. The initial welcome was a bit lacklustre until the amazing Paul arrived at the table. His energy and enthusiasm made us feel genuinely welcome and the whole Kenton Park experience was top notch thereafter. We started with a glass of the ‘cheeky fizz rose’ which was delicious. The very comprehensive lunch menu offered a wide range of fish and meat dishes - available as individual dishes or sharing plates. We started with a selection of light bites for the table to share - the baked Camembert and the monkfish bites were delicious. For mains - 2 chose scallop and monkfish skewers which were served on a bed of fresh green vegetables and were really outstanding, one chose a steak platter and was delighted and the rest of the party shared a roast chicken carved at the table which went down a treat. Deserts were brownies and ice cream and a gourmet plate which was a selection of bite sized deserts. The brownies (laced with cherries) were melt in the mouth. We drank a bottle of the vineyard’s own ‘ Runner Duck’ Sauvignon Blanc. The setting in the vineyard was delightful and the safari hut’s location away from the main restaurant meant that the children could run around without disturbing other diners. This was not a cheap lunch, but represented real quality in an unusual and intriguing setting. It was excellent https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g2021723-d25987937-r967235011-Kenton_Park_Estate-Kenton_Devon_England.html#
Kenton Park Estate – ExeterLovely place and wonderful grounds. Most of our meals were excellent, apart from the lamb extravaganza for two. We were not asked how we would like the lamb and found that the meat was very much overdone. Perhaps a fault on our part for not specifying medium but most chefs would not assume that the lamb should be extremely well done. Also there was enough to feed at least three.
Kenton Park Estate – ExeterWe had the most amazing lunch yesterday at Kenton Park Estate. It was my husband's birthday and we pre-booked the Seafood Platter which was full of the most lovely selection of seafood including, lobster, crab, mussels, calamari and more. We received a warm welcome and a complimentary glass of fizz to start the celebration which was a lovely surprise and most appreciated. Thank you very much for such a lovely afternoon.
Kenton Park Estate – ExeterWe had visited for lunch this week. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by their friendly staff and shown to our table. The food is top notch and the wine too and not over priced either. I would highly recommend Kenton Park Estate its such a lovely place to visit for a special occasion or just coffee and cake. We have booked again for Christmas time and we cannot wait.
Kenton Park Estate – ExeterOur first visit. My friend & I had such a lovely afternoon. Excellent food and wine. All staff super pleasant and efficient. Walked around the vineyard and grounds after lunch. Beautiful and imaginative planting. Hoping to return soon for a tour. Really impressed by the whole enterprise.
Kenton Park Estate – ExeterWe had an amazing afternoon at Kenton Vineyards we were seated in the cabin huts in the vineyard was a lovely setting and were given a complimentary glass of fizz for my mums birthday. Service is naturally a little slower as you are seated away from the main restaurant but we were ok with that. Food was outstanding we loved it. My only feedback is we didn’t get arancini balls that were included in the Italian platter and the bread basket focaccia didn’t taste very fresh. Overall amazing experience and can’t wait to be back.
Kenton Park Estate – ExeterAMAZING!! We reserved a safari-style hut to celebrate our wedding anniversary with our family on Saturday at lunchtime. There were six of us. Firstly, the greeting and hospitality were superb. The service was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overwhelming. The hut experience itself was fantastic—very comfortable even though we were experiencing a typical English wet summer day. The food was exceptional, as was the wine. Thank you for a lovely day and the complimentary fizz to celebrate our anniversary.
Kenton Park Estate – ExeterWell, what a fabulous time we had ! The ambience of Kenton Park estate is perfect for a sunny day. The planting and seating are tastefully spaced, well planned attractive and add to the feeling of relaxed quality. The service was excellent, attentive and unrushed. The food was delicious, the men had thd lamb extravaganza, we girls the moules and prawn tosdadas ( diificult to eat ) . Deserts.... fabulous. Worth noting that the seafood platter needs to be pre ordred. Conclusion: beautiful place, great food. Will be visiting again soon
Kenton Park Estate – Exeter4 of us came for a late lunch. The service was friendly helpful, unrushed, and charming. The menu had a nice variety of choices and prices. Food was delicious, especially the very large bowl of moulds.. Wine was wonderful. A very pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
Kenton Park Estate – ExeterGood food, good service and a great relaxed ambience set off by some lovely weather. An all round wonderful lazy lunch.
Kenton Park Estate – ExeterWe had a lovely anniversary lunch…prawn tostades and a glass of crisp white wine, followed by chocolate brownie and ice cream. The tostades were a little messy to assemble, but tasted delicious. The service was exceptionally good….friendly, helpful and efficient. The whole meal was not cheap, but good quality and fair value for money. We would love to visit again!
Kenton Park Estate – ExeterMy 2nd visit and it was great. Treated my mum and her friend. Awesome food and super setting.
Kenton Park Estate – ExeterWe booked a Vinyard Garden walking tour for 4 to celebrate our friend’s 70th birthday and everything was perfect! The package comprised a guided walk of the Vinyard and gardens with Anna, who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the estate, plus beautifully-presented fresh vegetable and herb platters for lunch, followed by a 3-wine tasting, all served in our VIP safari hut by Connie, ending with a tea-making session using fresh herbs from the estate gardens. We were even each given a bunch of flowers picked from the vinyard gardens to take home and a souvenir magazine about the estate and the gardens. The venue is stunning and we took hundreds of photos! The team went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing time. It was incredible value for money and a truly unique and memorable day.
Kenton Park Estate – ExeterWe came for a hen do at the weekend. Had Ben as our tour guide. Bert knowledgable, friendly and chatty & made the tour informal. The food after was amazing, plenty of it too. The only downside was being asked less than 24 hours in advanced about allergies and if it was a serious allergy we can bring our own food. Considering I have the allergy list 1/2 weeks prior and then heard nothing until 6pm the night before this was disappointing. However, they did then put on a lovely spread and did cater for our allergies as well so it was appreciated on the day. The wine was so delicious, and got plentiful on the tour!! Would recommend. Thanks again.
Kenton Park Estate – Exeterwhen we arrived we were very impressed with the setting and under the sunshine it felt like Provence. My friend had the dish of the day seared tuna. She found it was very disappointing and didn’t eat it! I had The brochette of scallops and fish. They were ok. A bit bland! Then we ordered dessert Eaton Mess. We found crumbs or meringue and 4 triangles of strawberry. The rest was cream. At £9.95 it was very overpriced. However we were not charged for them
