The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonFantastic food always and great service. Never disappointed.
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonThird time dining at the Clifton in the last few weeks, each time food has been very good, we'll presented, ample portions. Staff very helpful and professional especially when informing my friend of food on the menu that suited her dietary requirements.
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonExcellent food, excellent service from our waitress and bar staff, easy relaxing venue. We will definitely be back.
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonWe booked for a meal Saturday evening. When we arrived because of the lovely weather outside was very busy with music blaring. We were shown to our table where music could be heard vaguely in the back ground. Menu was very varied and looked good value for excellent and some different variations of food on Menu plus a Specials one for the day. We were two Pensioners with good appetites but by the time we had eaten our starters were quite full. Goats cheese was delicious. Out mains came Steak Pie with fresh veg and chips and smoked haddock pie with cheesy mash and fresh veg. It was piping hot. My friend could only manage half her meal as it was a whole pie in a dish. She really enjoyed what she ate of it. The fish pie was very tasty it's something I wouldn't always choose but would certainly order it again. We didn't even look at a dessert menu so can't comment. Service was excellent. Would we return definitely a great find close to home as it had recently changed hands.. I would thoroughly recommend it.
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonWe have been going to the Clifton arms for a few months now, the food is first class the welcome and service is always very good.
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonLovely family dinner here on 2nd April89. Reasonably price tasty food and great service from friendly attentive staff. Nice surroundings and atmosphere too. Will definately come again when in the area.
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonWent for Sunday lunch 31st March...... Food was amazing.... Staff as friendly as they come. Never been in Clifton b4... restaurant area very nicely set out.... Used to eat at Burley Arms wen Tony had it then and the main reason I went in for Sunday lunch that day...... His partner and him run a great pub to a top standard.....
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonHad a first visit and it won't be our last, the waitress was very attentive and understanding when one of our party was going to be late. Can recommend both steak and ale pie and the cheese and onion. The chips were very nice ,all the food was excellent we will definitely visit again.
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonGreat service and good food. The waitress was very attentive during our dinning dining experience.
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonWe had garlic bread and chicken strips to start which were really good.Well presented. Mains were steak and ale pie and a steak. Accompanying veg with pie not up to much. Both meals came with chips- very disappointing . Were described as triple cooked, this is questionable.Very 'flat, scrappy and hard'.The steak however was amazing, .as were the homemade onion rings :) The staff are friendly and attentive. The pub we found was a tad on the cold side. The music was 'ok' ....until the DJ started. All we can say is we were glad we were at the end of our meal. The music was blaring out!!. Some of the clientele were disruptive with their behavior .This was not picked up on by staff maybe they were too busy.... We would visit again but would choose a different time to visit. I would like to add that the new owners are evidently making a huge effort with this establishment.
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonI wrote a review a few years ago and the food has changed, it’s not very good anymore, the chicken burgers are horribly disgusting.
Ship Inn – FreckletonWe are 3 fifty somethings who arrived at the restaurant on the afternoon of Saturday 22nd July. We were looking forward to a lovely meal in pleasant surroundings which had been previous experiences for all of us. Sadly, Saturday was to be completely the opposite and ended with us walking out. As we were early for our table we asked if we could sit in the bar area and have a drink. We were deliberating over a specific wine when the owner came over to ask if we were ready to order. One of my friends turned to ask if we were happy with our choice. The owner interrupted saying just yes or no. My friend tried to explain but the man just walked away and went back behind the bar. She made several attempts to apologise and stated we did not mean to offend at which point he made a comment that we were obviously brought up differently. At this juncture all 3 of us were incredulous and once again my friend tried to resolve the issue. The owner was totally dismissive and walked away. By now the atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable and people seated in the restaurant had started to look over. It was at this point we decided to leave. On our way out we tried to speak with the owner’s son whose only words were ‘I know!’ The whole experience was humiliating, unnecessary and a blatant disregard for customer service whatever their gender, race or colour.
Food was excellent. Waitress was fantastic..superb customer focus despite distractions by the bar lead. Waitress was 5/5 but bar lead couldn't read a bar nor trusted bar staff to take payments which resulted in long delays so 1/5 for that. Therefore 3/5 average service. Also we'd booked a table in restaurant but disappointed that free roaming dogs are allowed in that area....
The Clifton At Warton – FreckletonWe booked a table for new years day lunch. We were greeted warmly by staff and sat near a warm open fire. The service was relaxed and good. Food was lovely we had a lamb roast which was very nice. Will definately be returning in the near future
