We went for a meal before walking round the lake and I’m glad we stopped by. The food was really tasty, not too fussy but everything was cooked well and we had a good time. The service was great too.

Had a lovely Sunday roast, all home cooked. Staff were so friendly and helpful, one of our party was in a wheel chair and they sent us a video prior to arriving to show the entrance to check she would be able to manage it. Also got lost in the forest walking enroute to the pub ask we arrived an hour late, after a couple of phone calls the staff were very accommodating holding our table for us. Would recommend and definoteturn again when we are next camping in the forest. Thanks

I went yesterday with my daughter and grandson, it was my daughter’s birthday. I left a review but can’t find it now. We ordered Sunday roast Beef. And chicken for my grandson. The food arrived loads of it, and within minutes the manager came to our table to ask is everything we okey. Of course we said yes as we had not even had chance to taste the food. The roast beef was so tough we could not eat it. When I spoke to the manager she simply said. “I came over to ask is everything was okey, you should have told me then. I tried to tell her that we hadn’t had chance to sample the food but she was already walking away from me. I found her attitude rude and not the way I would expect to be treated she never cane over to me to apologise or just find out why I felt the beef was so tough. Or explain the pub policy if you don’t mention something isn’t right when we come and ask you before you get chance to eat then that’s not the pubs problem that’s how I feel. The waiting on staff were fabulous polite and helpful. We also spoke to the waitress who was embarrassed. The vegetables were fine all the food was under seasoned but I’ll accept that as a personal taste. I Am surprised to see my original post has been taken down, which makes me wonder how many others have been removed. I can also say now after my original post that the manager spoke with the waitress and when I came to pay the bill she took my grandsons desert off the bill. Still no apology I was left feeling uncomfortable

Great service, nice and simple menu and a great selection of beer and gins. Even on a busy Friday evening we didn't have to wait too long so, all in all, we had a lovely meal and an enjoyable evening

Having returned to the Carriers this weekend (Sun) we were not disappointed the Sunday roast was amazing, likewise the service from such a friendly bunch of people. We decided to sit outside in the newly renovated beer garden and bar area, which was delightful. I can honestly say every time we have visited the hospitably is 1st class, keep up the great work.

Second time in three months, food excellent, at a competitive price. Our server (India) was very efficient, professional and catered for our needs. Will come, again and maybe again.

Delicious food, the newer menu with more burgers, pasta and salad choices is great. Food was cooked perfectly.

Lovely food, the steak pie was great with proper chunks of steak in it. Great service too, food arrived quickly. We really enjoyed our visit. Would recommend and would definitely visit again if in the area.

We came on 30 th June 2023 to celebrate my husbands 50 th birthday there was a group of 14 of us all served really quickly & everyone’s food was amazing we had desserts to which was lovely thanks again for the great service atmosphere and food well be back !

My wife and I had a delightful lunch to celebrate our 59th Wedding Anniversary. Our waitress was very attentive and made us feel at home and relaxed and we thank her for making our visit very enjoyable. We were very pleased when the management presented us with a bottle of red wine in recognition of our special anniversary. We will visit again and will recommend your establishment to our friends. Having had several meals over the past few weeks to celebrate two birthdays plus a day out with my wife, we have enjoyed the hospitality and friendliness of the team, the food is amazing. With a great atmosphere and beautiful views of the lake and beyond. I would recommend the Carriers to all my friends and family.

Really lovely location and the staff and food were exceptional. Will definitely return.
