Food was good, we were ushered into ordering and was a rushed experience, was very nice still

Another lovely ciccheti meal at The Tigers in the main pub this time with two friends & a dog. We were all made very welcome and we tried a different dish of pasta linguinie d,uja which was lovely- full size was a very, large portion Well presented,cooked and waitress service was spot on. We all highly recommend & our friends who live in Derbyshire wished they had a pub which offered this food near them. Come & enjoy

Tried the Italian which was a step up from the food we’ve had there previously. For the last year or so food has been overpriced and nothing special. Under new management and the beer and food has improved. The place still needs some work to justify the price of the menu but it’s definitely going in the right direction. Service was good but could benefit from attention to detail.

Visited here for Valentines Day, the food was incredible and extra special as they have a separate full vegan menu which isn’t offered everywhere! Atmosphere and decor was lovely. Massive shout out to Terri who served us, she was so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. She even checked which wine was vegan for me before we even got there, great service! Great tasty food, well presented and served in timley way by friendly staff at La Capella. Nice atmosphere and lovely food. I can recommend this little slice of Italy with good portions and authentic food.

We booked a table for Sunday lunch and again the meal was lovely, very friendly atmosphere and made to feel very welcome plus the dog, we will be back.

Saturday early evening and had run out of a lot of items on the menu......what we had was fine, standard pub fare. Service was very good.

Welcomed with a smile, great service, really good food. We were helped with carrying parcels up to the car. Very impressed

We dined on a Sunday afternoon, service was good and friendly. We both had the Hunters chicken, which was perfect. My only letdown was still only one cask ale, however this was fine even if Wainwright's isn't my preferred ale. Overall we will be back.

Lovely place to eat and visit I took my elderly aunt for lunch it was delicious. The staff were so friendly and attentive we will certainly go again when I next visit.

Food was good. Service but the young staff was good. Wine was dreadful. No wine list. I won’t be back until there’s decent wine to drink. Beer was good apparently. Atmosphere was busy and friendly but the impression was of an anxious management. Decor and surroundings were in much need of renovation. It looked as if some attempt was being made to revamp the place but it looked fairly unpromising sadly. If it’s worth doing- it’s worth doing well. We wish the pub well as it seems it’s had a rocky start from reading other reviews. People can be very reluctant to change. It’s in a beautiful spot and should be the heart of the village. Booked a table for 5 of us, atmosphere great and the food was amazing. Service was brilliant at first but as things got more busier it did slow down which is understandable but this doesn't take away from te3 fact with the new owners and menu our local will thrive and we will definitely be back! Would be brilliant if they had a little play area of little ones!

I was looking on the internet for a pub for lunch after a dog walk with friends round Delamere Forest and came across The Carriers Inn. We certainly struck lucky and hit on the right place! We booked for an early lunch on Thursday, as we were five people with five dogs, one a puppy, and we didn't want to potentially disturb others so chose a weekday when a pub was less likely to be very busy. We arrived early and were allowed straight to the table that was in the corner, with plenty of room to tuck the dogs in (they all behaved beautifully, by the way, once their initial excitement of being allowed into a pub subsided). There were quite a few people in, even at that time, but still other tables available and the atmosphere was welcoming and convivial. We were served drinks promptly at the table and food followed without delays. We ordered baguettes, a main meal and two changed their minds to steak pie once they heard that it was the special (and weren't disappointed - although some of the others were envious, especially of the gravy). The food was tasty and hot - and lovely chips! The staff were friendly and helpful. The only potential fly in the ointment was another customer who arrived as we were about leave and found fault with everything (from the music to having dogs in the room). She made her feelings abundantly clear but even this didn't spoil the atmosphere and we noticed that the staff accommodated her and her group without upsetting others. Hopefully she relaxed and had as nice a meal and experience as we did. My friends and I will definitely be back again, it was a lovely way to end a dog walk round the lake at Delamere, and I have other friends, that I've mentioned it to who will now be including a visit to The Carriers Inn when visiting Delamere Forest.

Second time here, food still good. But we were disappointed to be told that there were a number of dishes on the menu that weren't available due to delivery problems. Shame there weren't many people in to create more of an atmosphere.

Nice friendly atmosphere and good food. Very enjoyable lunch.

Sunday lunch at the Tigers was excellent. The Beef was beautifully cooked and excellent vegetables. Couldn’t have been better. Well done to the Tigers
