Came for a lunch to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The food was really delicious, especially the beef pie. Some gins we were interested in had run out due to the gin festival but the staff were really helpful finding alternatives. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Top marks!!
White Lion at Alvanley – FrodshamWe had a great meal on Saturday night at the Tigers Head, our local pub. We all had different items from the menu and all meals were of high quality. All the dishes were served piping hot which was exactly how they should be ! The service from the staff was very good and our drinks were replenished at the table without having to go the bar. The draught Weetwood bitter was particularly good. All in all well done to the Tigers Head. It is great to have our local pub delivering quality meals again.

White Lion at Alvanley – FrodshamGreat service, huge menu to choose from and dog friendly. We arrived early for our booking but were seated straight away on a slate floored area (perfect for the dogs on a hot day!). The pie and Sunday roast were delicious and the pudding menu was impressive!
The Carriers Inn – FrodshamThe food was excellent but ……. 4 of us went and we were the only people in the restaurant so not much atmosphere although the room has been nicely set out and decorated. We all ordered 2 dishes which all came out at different times. One of our party got one dish and shortly after her second dish before anyone else got anything. The other two people got dishes while I got nothing for ages. My second dish came out last and was really hot so I was eating on my own at the end. Not ideal! When taking the order it surely would be possible to write who has what and to at least bring out one dish for each person first? and then the other dishes. Not the chef’s fault as he has no idea who ordered which dish! Can’t fault his cooking though as the food was delicious.

The Tigers Head Country Pub and Dining – FrodshamNice pub, great food, even better beer and lovely staff. Booked for 7 for a belated birthday meal and decided to try the Italian restaurant side. Very cosy with great staff and impeccable service, the food was delicious though scarily expensive (there were 7 of us and we were enjoying our drinks so no surprise really). The small tapas style dishes are a little pricey, but delicious, so it is a special occasion night out rather than a regular (for us at least) but it's nice knowing there's something a little different so close to home, and that you'll be made to feel welcome and, best of all, not have to wait for your drinks (as they are brought out promptly)

Party of four all had Sunday roast and thoroughly enjoyed it. If I had any criticism I felt that the roast potatoes were under cooked. Again that’s only my opinion ( I like crispy roasties ) Service was great and waiting time was great. Overall totally enjoyed our visit in beautiful surroundings and a revisit is on the agenda.

Chippy Tea every Tuesday 4pm til 7pm - choose from Freshly Battered Cod, Wholetail Scampi or a Fishcake all served with chunky chips and mushy peas for just £10 per main.
