We came for a midweek birthday family dinner and it was wonderful. Really relaxed friendly vibe, every table was full (recommend you book ahead) and proper tasty pizzas. (no pasta, it's a pizzeria!) Special mention for the 'halloumi wrapped in prosciutto' starter, epic. And that they offer vegan options too.

However, once ordered, the food was served promptly. Everything, including the wine, was very good, and we enjoyed our meal.

I always judge a place by the poppadoms- so unfortunately yesterday they were stale and soggy. The place was buzzing , no parking either in the car park or outside on the road. Service was excellent . Great selection of meals on the menu and good choice of drinks . I would recommend The Royal Oak to anyone visiting this lovely tiwn
