Ember and Vine – St AnnesShame - came here with two friends for my birthday meal but was extremely disappointed with both the service and the attitude of the manager. I had booked for 7.30 pm but after half an hour had to ask for our order to be taken, and was told by the waiter that he had been instructed not to take our order yet to give the chef time to get the previous order out. We did eventually get to order, but after one and a half hours our main course still had not arrived. My friend complained to the manager, only to be told that this was 'industry standard', and when she replied 'not in St annes', was told 'maybe in Mcdonalds', After that we were completely ignored for the rest of the night, and were not asked if we wanted coffee or offered a dessert menu. I was expecting great things but was sadly disappointed, and none of my party will be returning.
Ember and Vine – St AnnesMy son and I had great pizzas yesterday at Bosco. this is our go to place for pizza in Lytham.
Bosco – LythamAnother great meal at the Farmers. We went as part of their Seafood Week and I took advantage of the ‘Oysters & Prosecco’ offer as a starter and then had a halibut risotto from their daily specials. Looking forward to returning for Lobster Friday!
Farmers Arms – Great EcclestonPacked on a Friday night which is a good sign and there was the added bonus of a singer who started up halfway through our meal. A pleasant change from the standard Italian fare in Lytham and I was spoilt for choice with the menu. I went for the kebab in the end and the rest of the table ate off the great-value Prix Fixe menu. The food was very good and service friendly but a little slow, no doubt due to it being so busy. Will be back to explore the menu some more.
Ego Mediterranean Restaurant – LythamAnother fabulous pub to add to my 'must go' list! The staff are lovely and very friendly and are very accommodating for the canine members of the family. The pub is nicely decorated and it has a warm and welcoming feel with a traditional country pub atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious, with a good selection from the menu for the delectation of the most attuned palate, using quality local ingredients. As a real ale lover, I always like to see a good selection and this was certainly the case; I had a few pints of Timothy Taylor's Landlord and they were amazing! Fantastic first trip here and we will certainly be going back. Highly recommended.
Farmers Arms – Great EcclestonFavourite café in Lytham for its food and atmosphere.
Chells Of Lytham – LythamAlways friendly service, great food and good value. Flatbreads are amazing and so is the moussaka! Try the turkish wine! Good value and nice and crisp.
Ahmet Turkish Kebab House – LythamFood is fantastic, I'vw found my new Sunday lunch place Xx
Birley Arms Inn and Gastro Pub – FreckletonBlackpools best kept secret! We eat here often, the food is fabulous, authentic freshly cooked, great value for money. We always get a lovely warm welcome from Chintana, and it is always a pleasure to eat here.We will return again soon.
Sabai Sabai Thai Restaurant – BlackpoolVisited here on my Birthday along with my family and had a wonderful meal. I love the new look menu - the Sunday lunch offer is great value for money too. 3 courses of this quality for under £20 is fantastic. Would highly recommend this place.
Birley Arms Inn and Gastro Pub – FreckletonGreat seafront hotel in St Annes. lovely people that own it and standards are high! very good food in their restaurant. would recommend to eat, stay or for an event.
Coast Brasserie @ The Glendower Hotel – St. Annes-On-SeaFavourite Fylde Chinese!
The Zen Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaSuperb and discrete little Indian restaurant located in the hustle and bustle of Henry Street. Has a modern feel to it and offers a varied menu including some interesting chef specialities. Particularly nice was the fresh selection of dips and chutneys with the starter. Some I hadn't tried before - the smokey-sweet red sauce was amazing - I urge you to try it ! It's always good to see a curry house doing something a little different. There is something for everyone here from very mild to very spicy - mine was the chicken tikka samba with melt in the mouth naan. A very fresh and tasteful dish and not greasy - I'll be returning again soon. Thanks Mohshina's !!!
Mohshinas Indian Restaurant – LythamWent to Espanol in Poulton last night for the first time since they had the refurb. It’s on two floors now with a new bar area downstairs and an expanded kitchen. The menu’s great for sharing so we had a few tapas dishes before a lively rabbit paella and washed it all down with a nice bottle of Ribera del Duero.
Espanol – Poulton-Le-FyldeBest eatery on the Fylde coast easily. Never been disappointed. catered for our large party expertly. My French onion soup and suet pudding looked and tasted epic. Good selection of wines and we enjoyed their Rioja and Gevrey Chambertin. The young waiting team are unlike other young waiting teams. Drilled, friendly, mature, cool and attractive. Think that is a result the owners really looking after their staff. Monday night is staff night, food, booze and music.
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonSuperb little café/takeaway on Woodland's Rd with an enticing menu and wonderfully fresh flavours. I had the lamb kebab - beautifully barbecued accompanied with fresh, crisp salad served on a soft, generously sized pitta with chilli sauce - not for the faint hearted but very satisfying ! My wife had the less spicy chicken kebab with mint yogurt - also very nice. There is something for everyone here, kids included. Don't miss the weekday offers - exceptionally good value on pizza. This is a real hidden gem...
Foodfest – LythamWhen in Blackpool we always have Sunday lunch at the White Tower. Highly recommend if you are in the area. My son had his wedding reception there and other son his engagement party. Service excellent. Food extremely good. Ambience excellent. We will be there again Sept. Had to cancel last time due to kids suddenly coming down with noro virus the night before.
