Ahmet Turkish Kebab House – LythamRestaurant is smaller than I thought with what appears to be a lot of wasted space. Staff were attentive and friendly. Starter and main course were good. But the pudding - supposed to be Italian bread and butter pudding was just a piece of panettone with vanilla ice-cream - very disappointing. The house red wine also tasted watered down. Having said I will go back and it's a great addition to Highfield Road.
Italio – BlackpoolWe went on the opening night, what can I say, the food is excellent, the staff are so friendly, everyone makes you welcome a lovely dining experience. The bar has been set very high with Italio, I love it so much so I'm there this weekend and booked again for next weekend. In short a triumph well done everyone, and I believe there's more to come, ciao.
Italio – BlackpoolWhat's happened?? Food is still good though prices have increased, again. The staff keep changing and the 'friendly, family ' vibe has been lost. Such a shame as this was a firm favourite.
San Marcos – BlackpoolWe were at a wedding on the 25th October 2014 and have to say everything the venue, meal, and the staff were fantastic to all. Thank you Fylde Rugby Club Lytham.
Fylde Rugby Club – LythamA party of us had a meal on thursday night at the Grand Hotel in St. Annes. It's a very good hotel and we normally like the food. However we were not impressed with autumn menu this time around. 2 of us found nothing we really wanted. The burger was not very good. Burgers are all the rage these days with mouthwatering options popping up everywhere, so this effort was nowhere near up to scratch. All the portions were fairly small. However the service was a good as usual. We would give it a go another time but not while that particular menu is on.
Cafe Grand – Grand Hotel – St. Annes-On-SeaFab chippy, new bloke taken over, spotless now, new menu and best value on Fylde!
Thornton Gate Fish and Chip Bar – Thornton-CleveleysFood first class presented nice. Staff very polite, would recommend for sure. This will be a big hit if these standards are maintained. Thanks for a nice dining experience.
Italio – BlackpoolFound the fish fryer a miserable idiot who treated his female staff member very badly. When I tried to give him my order, he drew me a dirty look, and and said tell her ,in horrible way. I told him to stuff his chips and won't ever go there again. What a sour face. It says the cafe was established a good few years ago. This person is bad for the cafes reputation, must lose loads of sales. Thanks Macca
Stevonia – BlackpoolOur party of 16 were extremely well catered for at Portofino last friday. We were upstairs in an alcove of our own. Food was very good as was the service from our team of secret service operatives (all had ear pieces I assume linked them to the kitchen-very misson impossible!). This is the 3rd year we have booked and will do again.
Portofino – Lytham5 of us (2 adult, 3 children) visited the restaurant last Friday (17/10/14) and were impressed with the traditional atmosphere of the establishment. . The food (& plates) were hot and very tasty; which included the surprise mystery dish (FOC). I think this is a good idea, as I had the opportunity to taste something I would not normally ask for. There was no problem with the drinks and the service was friendly and attentive. At the end of the meal, the children were offered ice cream which was also FOC.
Moghul Tandoori Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaTwo of us went to Camerons recently and to say we were disappointed with the lack of customer service and the quality of the food would be an understatement. For a member of staff to call you a nasty woman is not the correct way to address a criticism of what were the worst chips we have both ever come across. We both work for large organisations where customer service is a key skill, so were completely taken aback by the way we were treated. Needless to say we will not be returning!
Camerons – BlackpoolExcellent home cooked food, will be going again.
Plough Inn, The – BlackpoolWe came to your Chinese last year and it was excellent. We are coming again in December.
Golden Palace – BlackpoolExcellent chicken tikka massala for the price. I would of course expect better in an Indian restaurant. However for a quick meal to soak up the very good beer, it certainly did the trick. My friend enjoyed his steak sandwich too.
The Railway Hotel – LythamDidn’t realize Red Bank Road on a Saturday during the Illuminations would be so busy – and it appears the Sunam didn’t realize either! Food was good but we had to wait too long both to order initially and then for the food to arrive. I do sympathize as a business these days can’t really afford to have too many staff hanging around. But better communication would have made the waiting more acceptable. Instead of waiters deliberately avoiding eye contact, it would have been far better for them to come over and explain that they were unexpectedly busy and we might have to wait a while longer for our food.
Sunam Tandoori – BisphamFirst impressions were poor, young girl with no idea of customer service. No hello or thanks etc. She wrapped the chips them left them hanging about for the fish. Chips were crusty and the fish was a big piece of batter with a small bit of dry fish inside. It was a 7.30pm, assume they were winding down, but is that a good excuse? Think not.
