Gulshan Tandoori Takeaway – BlackpoolWe've eaten at The Ship many times and never been disappointed , friendly staff and great food, it is a little more expensive , but worth it. Great atmosphere and decor. Always busy what ever time of day you go would highly recommend it .
Ship at Elswick – Great EcclestonGreat little restaurant in St Annes. I like the look and ambience, feels authentic. I have the best chicken on a skewer I have ever had. Pea soup was tasty. Service needs to be a little warmer and be aware it has no listen as yet. BYO which I love, get yourself a cheeky Levanese Chateaux Musar to accompany the middle eastern fayre.
The Marrakech – St. Annes-On-SeaI went to Owd Nell's today with two friends, celebrating a friends birthday. We all had a lovely meal and drinks, the service was very good with friendly polite staff. We are looking at having our works Christmas party there this year.
Owd Nell’s Tavern – GarstangExcellent food excellent service. Clean and great atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.
China Red – Poulton-Le-FyldeWe had been meaning to go to the Farmers Arms in Great Eccleston for quite a while. Living in Lytham it's a bit of a drive. However after last nights experience it's more than worth it and we are already planning a return trip for their Xmas parties. The refurbishment of this old pub is a perfect mix of modernity with a rural inviting feel. Hip lighting, tweeds, earthy woods. It has a lovely outside space and the interior is spread over a few rooms with different vibes. Importantly it's still a pub too, serving quality real ale!. All our dishes were excellent. The three of us tried the others choices. The ribs were first class and created plenty of food envy. The Szechuan cod was amazing and as you would expect their fish pie was a belter too. The staff are well trained and friendly. This time I was driving so couldn't attack their well thumbed and hand written 'black book' of special wines...next time!
Farmers Arms – Great EcclestonStopped off for a takeaway meal 29/9/14. The meal was ready on time. Mixed review for me - the soup chicken was lovely, pork toast awful actually some type of overcooked french stick. Pork ribs didn't fall of the bone and no taste to them [probably the worst I've every had]. However the main sweet and sour and duck with ginger and spring onion/rice and noodle were seasoned well and really nice. I found it a bit strange that the young lady on the counter was doing the table cloth ironing whilst we waited for our meal !! So for me soup and mains fab but give the starters a miss.
Suda Thai Cuisine – Poulton-Le-FyldeTook my girlfriend for dinner at the Farmers Arms on Friday. Didn’t know this place existed to be honest but saw it on Sugarvine and thought we would give it a try. My partner had the fish pie and thoroughly enjoyed it but I couldn’t resist the steak (a 15 oz rump that I chose personally) and it was beautiful, in fact the second best steak I’ve ever had (the best was cooked on a stone in the Jura in France). Glad we found it and we will definitely return.
Farmers Arms – Great EcclestonDecided to try the Saffron again, as a few months ago (the other owners) we had a bad do-invited to go back for a free meal but we decided not to. We ordered a Takeaway this time , I had the Chicken Chat on Puri (starter) which was excellent, my Wife, 2 Onoin Bhajis-no dressing or salad which surprised us, but she enjoyed the Bhajis. I had the Honey Chicken -excellent again. My Wife had the Nowabi Chicken which again was delicious (I had a taste!) Pilau Rice again, plenty of it and good. We also ordered a Peshwari Nan-unfortunately this wasn't good, it ended up in the bin, as it was cooling, it was like leather, couldn't even have a second bite. Very disappointed. Was it microwaved, to be like this? Free delivery too, as Michaels charge £3! We will definitely go again, or have a takeawy, but no Peshwari nan.
Saffron – Poulton-Le-FyldeHi can you please let me know when your restaurant is opening. I am really looking forward to dining in your new restaurant. Lorraine.
Italio – BlackpoolGreat birthday meal last night at the Mandarin. Fillet steak Cantonese style, amazing!
Michael Wan’s Mandarin – BlackpoolJust had a breakfast, it was awful. The plates were cold the toast was stale the poached eggs weren't cooked. We sent them back and the meal wasn't any better. The bacon was smoked which wasn't specified on the menu and the food quality overall was substandard. The laugh of it was that the sausages are so small they are cut in half to fill the plate.
Whispers – LythamHave heard mixed reviews about Spago since it opened recently in Lytham but on the evidence of our visit on Friday it may just have been the usual teething problems when you open a new venue. We had a great night with a lovely table in the window that looked out onto Henry Street and the square. Our waiter was friendly and very much on the ball and then menu is quite substantial with lots of interesting choices. Food was good, prices were very reasonable and it’s a smart looking venue with a buzzy vibe. Recommended and we will be back soon.
Spago Lytham – LythamZen restaurant in St Annes is definitely the best looking Chinese/Thai restaurant in the Fylde Coast and most probably the best food too! Friendly and professional service to match. Will definitely return and we do recommend Zen to our friends.
The Zen Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaVery average food a bit disappointed to be honest. I was expecting some good food like back home in Washington DC, however it was nothing like it. Being a Yank I would say they could do with getting some real American meals on the table maybe watch a little Man vs Food for ideas and some better US BEERS " just saying" overall I would give it a 5/10. Thanks.
Drunk Buffalo Club – LythamStayed in St Annes and went to the Moghul for a meal. It was amazing, great food great decor and great service from Roni & Mr Ali . We had little tasters for free. It was so good we went the next day even better news , we don't need a passport to go back down. 19 09 2014.
Moghul Tandoori Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaFantastic!
Cressington Hotel – BlackpoolSunday fish and chips were good. Ruddles was as good as ever and my wife enjoyed her chicken on a skewer. The best place for a cheap eat with good beer in Lytham.
