Mermaid Cafe – BlackpoolSuperb meal and service for our group of ten, on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. Even though they were very busy there was no downgrade of food or service. Highly recommended.
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonWe visited the Sparling recently for the first time as it is a Hi-Life Platinum restaurant . We are so glad we did because this is a truly fab venue; clean, modern decor, relaxed atmosphere, roaring open fires and well-spaced out tables so you can enjoy some privacy even when other diners are sitting nearby. The heating had broken just as the snow arrived so Neil brought individual heaters to the tables to keep everyone warm and toasty. We felt like nothing was too much trouble, and that the staff truly cared that you had a great dining experience, not just a nice meal. We are really looking forward to returning again as the menu had a great choice, the food was delicious and plentiful and of a very high standard. We both went with Neil's recommendations and were so glad we did as our meals were divine. Can't praise this place highly enough.
The Sparling Barton – GarstangI took my Mum to this cafe located in the centre of Freeport and was extremely disappointed I did. I bit into my toastie and found the cheese still cold and uncooked in the middle so asked for it to be reheated (no offer was made to replace it). The staff were polite and helpful, however lots of chatting went on between staff and dirty tables were left dirty throughout the whole time of our visit (about an hour!). We saw a number of diners move because after sitting down they noticed the dirty tables. There is also no toilet for cafe guests, only staff, so it is quite a hike back to the Freeport entrance to use the facilities there. Finally, we were disappointed we weren't asked if everything was ok when we paid the bill as that would have been an ideal opportunity to raise these points. In summary, we won't be going back. There are much nicer, fresher smelling places nearby.
Food Court – FleetwoodThe best indian take-away in the North West! Never dissapointed, allways delighted! Great service, great food and great selection.
The Dilraj – St. Annes-On-SeaMy kind of place! Great enjoyment all round. Food is imaginative and well presented. Having spent a lifetime eating well this is in the top of the lst! Delightful atmosphere throughout . if you are having a bad day this is the place to go for proper therapy! Went with an eating club of many years standing and we shall return!!!! Serves you right Martin and the merry crew! Sorry I couldn't manage the fourth pudding.
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamHaven't enjoyed a restaurant so much for years! Food is top notch, ambience welcoming and makes you feel at home immediately, staff are good fun and efficient. A thoroughly joyful place. Went with a large party, pre arranged, and there were also another 30 people in another dining room. Service was impeccable . Martin has terrific sense of humour, well he must have in that job! Certainly a place to visit when you need an interesting and really good meal - and a good laugh! Well done. I shall be telling the world and return if only to apologise . Thank you
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamThe best chippy this town has every had !
Dawsons – KirkhamI've dined here many times and the food and service has been excellent. In fact I can't fault it, also they have kingfisher on draught for £3.60 a pint which is very reasonable for a restaurant.
Ashiana Tandoori Restaurant – KirkhamAmazing food, couldn't fault it. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. A wide range of homemade desserts. Overall a pleasant evening out with friends.
Dahlia’s Kitchen – BlackpoolWe always call in here on our trips to the Fylde coast. Good coffee, superb ice cream and a charming owner. Also the best location in Cleveleys! New Yorker is spotless, bright and cheerful and peaceful. A breath of fresh air just a step from the promenade and beach.
New Yorker sundaes – Thornton-CleveleysSuper value, very good fish and chips, speedy, friendly service - what more do you need? Well, you have to be early if you don't want to queue in this very popular restaurant. Best fish and chips in Cleveleys, thoroughly deserving of it's reputation.
Kays Fish and Chips – Thornton-CleveleysJust returned from another visit to the Hand & Dagger inn. This place is top of our list for Sunday' eating establishments. A 2/3 course menu displays choices of starters, mains and deserts for an excellent price. Specials are listed on a blackboard. My partner opted for brunch starter consisting of black pudding, mushroom, poached egg and crisp pancetta on creamy mustard sauce followed by perfectly cooked roast beef with trimmings. I had a tasty chicken ceaser starter and the beef. My 8 year old opted for poached egg and black pudding special and was given the option of no mustard sauce and extra Chips which pleased him immensely. I was too full for a pudding but tasted my partners delicious bread and butter home-made dessert and it was fabulous. The place has a welcome feel, lovely atmosphere avnd the service is polite and excellent. The landlord remembers everybody and runs an excellent pub. You must go and visit but booking would be advisable it's a busy place on Sunday's.
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamHave eaten here again recently and tried the early diner menu this time. I am always wary about these set menus as the portions can be small and not sure if they are value for money. Not the case at Jack's!! Had a delicious three course meal which was of excellent quality and we all left full!! For a mid-week meal this menu is perfect, great value and of the normal ala carte quality, highly recommended!!
Jack’s Restaurant & Bar – St. Annes-On-SeaOlivers has been a favourite of mine and my husband for quite a while and now they have added some new really great dishes to their already impressive menu. The Caesar salad is particularly excellent! Lunch or evening this is the place for the best food in St Annes, fantastic quality at a very reasonable price! Always feels very welcoming too!
Olivers – St. Annes-On-SeaExcellent the best in Blackpool don't miss out !!!
Middle Chippy – Bisphamthe food we have always had from wok wow has always been good, we have used them for the last 3 years with no problems at all, staff have been friendly as yet.........
Wok Wow – BlackpoolWe have been going to the Ashiana, since it opened. But we were disapointed, last Sunday. We were surprised to find we were the only ones in at the time. The Waiter warmly welcomed us.We decided not to go for the Special Sunday offer at £9.99 and chose off the Menu. As we were being shown to our table, some more people arrived. The Waiter seemed to change his attidude. Our meal was put down on to the table, no smiles just a straight face -The Special Naans were the worst we have ever tasted, hard around the edges, and hardly any filling, just coconut, no sultanas etc. And i must add, that i think, that the food should be served with a warming stove , on the table. The rice was in a cold china dish, and went cold. bothe our chosen dishes, had a tinned pineapple ring in the centre of the sauce, and mine with the exception of the chicken, hardly anything else, apart from the sauce. We wont be going again-ever. It has changed, not the usual quality, and friendliness of the staff. In fact we only saw the Waiter. wether they were having a bad day, i dont know. Or maybe we should have ordered the Sunday Special!
