Hand and Dagger – KirkhamHad a really lovely Indian meal at this restaurant. Staff could not do enough to ensure we had a lovely time. Very clean establishment. I know times are hard but people should, if they can, go out and support their local restaurants or we could end up losing them which means more people out of work and the loss of some great restaurants. Will definately visit again on my next trip
Moghul Tandoori Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaJava serves over priced non edible so called food in a tiny pit. We took visitors to Java recently and experienced the worst customer service possible, firstly being seated 4 people to a table set for 2 in front of the bar where customers continued to push past us. We then had to wait 45mins for our food to arrive which was over cooked and minimal. The chicken was rock hard and the salad consisted of nothing but lettuce leaves with the kids pizza like rubber and not even cut. They didn't provide a children's menu so therefore had to order off the main menu which was overpriced for a child's portion. When we tried to explain or dissatisfaction the staff did not seem interested. During or wait for food we witnessed staff making numerous mistakes with food and beverage orders to other tables. I will never be back in Java again and highly recommend no one else goes if they expect standard customer service with appetising food.
Java – Lytham23rd may Just had the worst pub food (worst food ever that i have to pay for) at this venue. Please don't wast your time or money. This is the first review i have written but feel i had to warn others not to waste money ..the bill £34. Am now home and making my wife and i something edible to eat
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamWe visited Constantines for the first time this eveningand we weren't disappointed. The owners are very welcoming and personable, the decor fresh and clean. For starters i had the Scallops another first for me and they were truly delicious. My main course was the lamb rump my husband opting for the T bone steak the lamb was really tasty and tender, i also sampled the T bone steak and it was melt in the mouth delicious i will definately be ordering it when i return. The portions were generous and i had to squeeze in dessert of chocolate fudge cake another winner served with ice cream and cream. We also sampled the coffee and mints as we were enjoying ourselves so much. The prices were very reasonable and we will definately be returning as soon as we can get another babysitter.
Constantine’s – BlackpoolRecently under new management we visited Jade Delight on a Monday evening our party consisted of two adults and 2 children. We opted for the all you can eat buffet at £9.95 per adult we were quickly seated and invited to help ourselves to the range of starters on offer including crispy duck pancakes, spare ribs in various sauces, won tons, soup dim sum etc they even had chicken nuggets and chips for the kids. all the dishes were hot and refreshed regularly. For our main we had a variety of dishes from the menu where you can order regular or smaller portions if you wish to sample. The lemon chicken was fantastic as was the kung po pork and noodles. For dessert you can help yourself to various flavours of ice cream, fruit salad fresh fruit and i can highly recommend the coconut and mango jelly. The staff were very attentive and polite and very interested in our feedback. I would definately recommendJade Delight and i'm sure we will be paying another visit very soon, the only downside was that i couldn't eat more.
Jade Delight Oriental Buffet Restaurant – BlackpoolWe have been eating at Tiggywinkles for over 5 years now and can highly recommend it. The food is all home made none of this readymade heated up in the microwave rubbish that most places serve and charge a fortune for. I can highly recommend the homemade lasagne and chips a personal favourite and the lamb Henry. The chips are "proper" chips so tasty and the portions are more than generous. You won't get a warmer welcome anywhere else that is one of the reasons people return year upon year.
Tiggy Winkles Of Bond Street – BlackpoolWhat a lovely meal we have just had at Java and the staff are always really helpful we will come again really soon
Java – LythamWe have just recently had are wedding reception at the Venue and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. From the moment we went in to view the room to collecting our stuff after the party, Jackie and her staff were fantastic in every sense of the word. Everything ran beautifully well, we were inundated with comments from guests about how good the food was. Nothing was too much in preparation for wedding which helped set my wife's mind at ease on more than one occasion. We really can't thank every member of staff enough for helping make our wedding the success it was. Thank you all so very much, we are so grateful for all your fantastic work.
The Venue – Thornton-CleveleysWe went back to our old favourite The Zen with our meat eating son, vegetarian daughter and son's vegan girlfriend. They all live out of the area and we chose here after emailing the menus of several local restaurants for them to choose their favourite. As usual Zen came up trumps. The only tip I would give is that if some of you are having the set banquet you will be served at different times to the others, so that some of you will be sat there with no food! As always the staff are warm, courteous and fun, they will do anything they can to make sure that you have a lovely evening. By coincidence 15 of us went from work the following week and again had a fabulous evening.
The Zen Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaWent to Espanol Saturday night. great atmosphere. The food was amazing and the service was great. Definitely will be back. Chris
Espanol – Poulton-Le-FyldeJust been to have a look at the "new" Fairhaven. What a disappointment! My chewy sirloin steak was served with shrivelled mushrooms, chips that has obv seen better days and a grilled tomato, the chilli sauce was just glutanous gravy :( My huband's roast pork was dry and this was offset by soggy broccoli. With a glass of pinot grigio and a pint of Wainwrights the meal came to £30.15. Only 2 other tables were occupied, now we know why.
The Fairhaven – LythamFour of us have just been very enjoyable the staff, food and restaurant were very good and we will be going again.
The Fairhaven – Lythamfrom starter to desert the food was excellent, staff were very friendly and helpful, you couldn't fault the prices either especially with great deals they have on at the moment, well worth a try!
Red Fort – Lythamhave eaten there a lot over the last 5 years but wont be back. From cold plates to smaller and smaller portions. Steak and ale pie should be renamed gravy pie chicken and leek pie contained 3 tiny pieces of chicken veg undercooked. salmon main course looked like a starter with only 6 raw green beans a sliver of salmon and 4 tiny new potatoes a joke as a main course!! but not at the price!!! not a lot to write home about here not worth the money a shame because its my local !!!!
Castle Gardens – Poulton-Le-Fyldethis is the best take away the staff are the best they are getting better and better
The Dilraj – St. Annes-On-SeaWasn't keen on this place, cutlery wasn't clean very average.
Nosh Sandwich Shop – BlackpoolI was working in the local area and discovered this lovely friendly cafe. The service was excellent and I highly recommend their homemade soup. I treated myself to some chocolate fudge cake too. Absolutely delicious! Will definitely go again.
