Buraq – KirkhamExcellent food - the tapas were as wonderful as any we have had in traditional spanish tapas bars and the cocktails were great! However, the stroppy blonde waitress who didn't manage to smile at all, or say more than three words to us in the whole time we were there really let this place down.
Mojito Tapas Bar – LythamHello,This evening me and my partner had the worst experience for dinning in a very long time. The food was massively overpriced for a mediocre 3 course dinner. Just to add salt to injury when I asked the waiter about the coustard he had to admit that it was not home made either. For 3 course wine in top quality restaurants on the island we paid between £80-100 (in restaurants like Jar, 14th North, The Lime Tree, Macfarlane's, The Abbey). £121 was just outrageous as the food did not deliver the expected quality for that price. Was our first visit but probably the last one too.
Edwards – Isle of ManAnother visit to the Sparling's on the 2nd June for my partners birthday and had yet another wonderful meal. I had a large bouquet of flowers delayed in the afternoon to the sparling's as a surprise for my partner and neil was more than happy to assist with the surprise. He put us on a large table even though the place was very busy and the service was excellent. I cannot praise this place enough, the food is unbelievable and neil is just a pleasure to watch. We will be going again tonight (9th June) with a couple of friend's who haven't been yet, so there in for a big surprise. Keep it up and thank you neil.
The Sparling Barton – GarstangThis is the best restaurant ever!!!! We went last night and the food was superb, staff very attentive and the place itself was lovely. We came away very full and very happy - would recommend it to anyone!!!!!!!! As extremely fussy eaters who expect the best, we were not disappointed - everything from the popadoms at the start to the brandy at the end were just sport on, and we even got free drinks when the staff realised it was our 10th wedding anniversary - WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!
Leeraj Indian Cuisine – BlackpoolFood is always excellent and great value for money, especially on Monday, Wed and Sunday when you can take advantage of the 4 course meal offer. Thanks Icky for always serving up the best curry on the Fylde..!!!
Gemma Indian Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaHad take away and was well happy. While waiting looked around and its very clean and the seating area was very busy and everyone seemed to be having a good time and a good meal. Staff are very friendly. Will tell all my friends to try it....10/10
Go Greek – Blackpoolstayed at turkish palace this weekend we were welcomed by a big guy in a green fairy suit.which we found very funny.we were shown to are room and our bags were carried for us.which we have never had done for us in blackpool.our room was warm with clean bedding and the towels were in heart shaped with flowers all over the bed.i payed £35 a night and didnt expect much but the room was lovely,we have allready booked to go back with our family as we had an amazing time there....james
Turkish Palace – BlackpoolBoxed salads to die for - you always get what you ask for and then some - I am always stuffed and can't manage the roll or wrap that comes with it. The food is so fresh and the staff are great and really put themselves out to make sure you get just what you want. Everything is so clean and the prices are amazing. I would love to know where Danbpool goes that could beat NOSH on food, service, cleanliness, freshness and price
Nosh Sandwich Shop – BlackpoolQuite simply my favourite restaurant in the area, The service is outstandingly good/friendly and the food is superbly flavoursome with a wide selection of signature dishes to compliment the more traditional cuisine. The Zaflong lamb in particular, is simply excellent! I thoroughly recommend this place.
Red Fort – LythamGreat little place, nice
Pulci Pizza – Poulton-Le-Fyldefriend and I have dined at Pipers on at least 4 separate occasions, and our recent visit will be the last. Not because of the quality of the food, but for the simple reason that we were not advised (on booking) that the table would be re-let at a later time. Which meant that instead of a leisurely end to our meal we were asked to decamp to the area just inside the front door where there was barely sufficient space for us to continue our conversation and consume our after dinner coffee. A most disappointing end to what had been (up to that point) an enjoyable experience.
Pipers – Garstanghad a brill time at the palace, the food was excellent, the staff was friendly and the rooms were lovley, would stay there again without a doubt.
Turkish Palace – BlackpoolMy friend and I had the Super-Saver lunch at Portofino today, which was incredible value for money at only £10.99. My starter was wild mushrooms on crostini and was absolutely delicious. I had pan-fried hake next, which was perfectly cooked, sitting on top of very finely sliced potatoes, which were brown and crispy at the edges and served with aubergine and courgette slices. What a wonderful chef they have there! We can't wait to go back again for lunch!
Portofino – LythamTried this restaurant on my first ever visit to St Annes. The staff are very attentive and friendly, the owner sets high standards and want's the best for his customers. If there is a problem he will do his utmost to correct it. The food......delicious! After starting with some papadoms I had a main from the restaurants speciality list (Manpasand Chicken Mild) along with a Garlic and Coriander Naan bread, washed down with a lovely pint of Indian lager. I finished everything......the main especially lovely although I could not fault a thing including the prices! Would recommend and will certainly return when I next visit St Annes.
Moghul Tandoori Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaWow! What can I say. The Food was fantastic, the service excellent and the staff were so friendly. The Honey Roast Ham was the best I have ever tasted. I consider myself to be a very good cook and am often dissapointed with 'run of the mill' pub type grub. Taste is a proper home cooked Bistro offering plenty of freshly cooked food. Definately recommend.
Taste – Thornton-Cleveleysthe best cafe ever the food is excelent im 13 and i was very picky before going to taste now i try lots of new stuff there and i enjoy it thoroughly! definatly go there, good price and very warming staff!
Taste – Thornton-CleveleysWe paid for ensuite @ £45 but not really an ensuite room as shower didn't run warm. Told to use neighbouring bathroom but not offered any money back even though standard rooms are only £28.ROOM NOT AS DESCRIBED..On Arrival, the welcome wasn't as expected of a hotel. There was no bedding on the bed when we entered the room and towels from the previous guests were left sprawled over the wardrobe. When the bedding was finally put onto the bed, the extras (petals etc.) that are on the pictures online were not provided. The bedding was uncomfortable, it felt cheap and rough. There were stains up the walls that could be covered up with a lick of paint. Considering it is "refurbished" the TV provided in the room did not work as there was no digital feed and obviously there is no analogue signal now. The carpet in the bedroom was covered in bits, it looked as though it had not been vacuumed after previous guests had vacated the room. The carpet strip between the bedroom and bathroom was unsafe and if all that wasn't enough, the view from the room was absolutely awful, it looked like a tip. The lock on the bathroom door didn't work and the toilet roll holder was broken. Both the window in the bedroom and the window in the bathroom were stiff as well. The description on line also mentioned free wi-fi which we could not find when searching for it. THE BREAKFASTOur breakfast was inclusive within our £45 but that wasn't much good either. There were no menus to give us an idea of the options for breakfast, the table was wobbly, there was a plug socket hanging off the wall and the breakfast when brought to us was nothing brilliant either. We had ordered beans on toast and a toasted bacon sandwich. The beans on toast came with un-buttered toast and a minimal amount of beans between the two slices of toast. The toasted bacon sandwich came with one small slice of bacon and again un-buttered toast. No sauces were offered to us either. Very disappointed with our stay, won't be staying there again and will be requesting a refund.
