Wah Wahs – BlackpoolThis restaurant is incredible for food, price an service. It is a credit to the owners. If anyone can honestly say they didn't enjoy their meal, they must well be the first as everyone I have spoken to return again and again and never have a bad word to say about it. Get a table booked and enjoy quality!
Le Bistro – Thornton-CleveleysGordon ramsay got it spot on when he said the fish and chips were absolutely excellent and the price of £5.95 for fish and chips including tea and bread and butter was great value along with nice decor and friendly staff looking forward to my next visit
Whelans – Lythamwhat a cosy warm restaurant/inn. The food is definitely comforting as well. I had the cassoulet and stringy fries. Not the authentic cassoulet from france but heartwarming nonetheless. my mate had the hot pot which was devoured also. good guest ales and live music once a month. live blue grass band. I think its on the 5th Feb.
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonI have been using this restaurant for about 15 years or more and have to say the latest owners are doing an amazing job and the food is fantastic! We spent NY eve 2008 here and had a great evening and made to feel very welcome as always. You must try the Lamb Massaman....simply amazing!
Orathai Restaurant – KirkhamNice place to stop for a coffee. Great for dog-walkers as they happily allow your pets in the cafe.
Lowther Pavilion Cafe – LythamQuite simply, this is where I,d eat my "final meal" if I was to be taken to the gallows. My wife and I visit Blackpool for several mini - breaks a year and this is a regular haunt for us. Nice Staff, Nice chips, and you MUST try the Haddock. The nicest fish Ive EVER had. And.......drinks are cheap too, compared to other chippys in Blackpool. Chips, Haddock and a can of Dandelion and Burdock please !! Eric.
Yorkshire Fisheries – BlackpoolI visited with my family this week and was amazed just how busy it was for a Monday in January, always a good sign! The food was excellent and the service really friendly and efficient. I would recommend it.
West Coast Rock Cafe – BlackpoolHas new owners, very friendly. Decor still the same , do very good deal 2 coursed anytime for £10. Excellent fish, good chips and very varied menu. Worth a visit
Roebuck, The – GarstangWhat an amazing place right on the river walk, we ended up staying the night after a fantastic meal, the rooms are to die for, attention to detail everywhere! Can't wait to go back!
Cartford Inn – Great Ecclestonexcellent food but bad service and shabby decor
Saffron – Poulton-Le-FyldeWhat an amazing place staff are well presented and well trained! I had the sea bass special cooked to perfection! they had some amazing musicians playing live. very quirky gem of a place!
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonHave recently been to Twelve with my partner and had the most wonderful dining experience. I have been dining out for many years and truly say this is by far the 'best' dining experience we have ever had. From the food, to the atmosphere and in particular the service; really this place is so worth a try. Be warned you will want to go back! Amazing, well done and thank you so much!
Twelve Event Management – Thornton-CleveleysDelicious food. great prices. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the risotto starter delicious. Best of all was the veg. Cauli and broccoli cheese, garlic cabbage, buttered carrots and spiced parsnips. also massive choice of desserts on the table d'hote. Three courses for £13.25! Only down side is the very small bar/reception area with incredibly uncomfortable seating! Will visit again soon.
Le Bistro – Thornton-CleveleysThe service is excellent and the food is delicious. You get good size portions and it's great value for money.
Toast Cafe Bar and Grill Restaurant – BlackpoolWe visited LdV at short notice on a Saturday evening. For those that remember it as Nutter's Bistro, expect a huge change on the inside. They have done a fantastic job changing the interior to a lively modern, clean smart style. The toilets were extremely well maintained and time had been spent to make sure they were well decorated and clean, which is something that let's many places down - not this one! It did take maybe fifteen minutes for our first drinks to arrive as we weren't asked when sat in the waiting area and given menus. The food is well priced, not cheap (unless you go for the early bird) but certainly not expensive. Good value and plentiful would describe it. My only real gripe was the forty minute wait between our starters and main course, BUT there was a large table of maybe 25 people that they were trying to serve at the same time - I think they did a great job catering for such a large group for the size of the establishment. The garlic bread was great, the pate starter was huge. Three of us had pasta dishes (filet fettucini, seafood linguini, bolognaise linguini) and one the duck and plum sauce from the specials menu. All were excellent, a very good varied selection of seafood, my fillet strips were plentiful, the duck was cooked splendidly and the bolognese was also good. It was notable that all three of us having pasta failed to finish - testament to the portion size. Staff once we were seated were very attentive and pleasant. On the whole, an excellent meal and a fair price - what more can you ask for? We will certainly be returning, and most definitely trying the early bird now we have tried the full price menu. Well done LdV.
Pizza and Pasta – Thornton-CleveleysLorenzo's restaurant. This is just the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to including the ones I have visited in Milan, Rome, Desenzano, Sorrento, Venice, Verona and Brindisi. Look no further for rude and arrogant staff, overpriced ordinary food and shambolic service. Will only ever return to gloat when it ceases trading which cant be far away.
Lorenzo's restaurant. This is just the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to including the ones I have visited in Milan, Rome, Desenzano, Sorrento, Venice, Verona and Brindisi. Look no further for the rudest and most arrogant staff, overpriced ordinary food and shambolic service. Claims to serve northern Italian food but it doesn't in reality. The laminated menu features a picture of Desenzano and Lake Garda which is as close as it gets to the real thing. Will only ever return to gloat when it ceases trading which cant be too far away. Thank heaven for Salvatores, at least they make you feel appreciated and are grateful you have chosen their restaurant and not the Lorenzo way of we are doing you a favour by allowing you in to eat.
