The Cottage – BlackpoolMe and my wife had our wedding day meal at the trafalgar on 16th june 2007, We had roughly 50 guests dine there and every single person said the food, Service and staff were outstanding, A real delight to eat there and we will continue to eat there for many years to come.
Trafalgar Restaurant – Fleetwoodwent for my birthday another great evening with lovely food and great ambiance and friendly staff, i was also given a free tirimasu with a sparkler on the top and they played happy birthday to me must have been the happy birthday badge i was wearing that gave the game away, but a lovely gesture, this is the kind of generosity that makes us go back time and time again cheers guy's and gals
Pizza and Pasta – Thornton-Cleveleysthis has got to be the best value for food in cleveleys, the carvery is superb and the drinks a very reasonable for a pub no point in cooking a roast anymore at this price £3.50 can't get a decent sandwich for that price
Tramway, The – Thornton-Cleveleysnice Chinese food, the curry sauce is lovely also the Singapore chow mien will call again
Yum Sing – Thornton-Cleveleysmy uncle's number one chinese takeaway that i use to work for Tony Lam, clean and fresh and people are friendly and it is cheap and the food is delicious, my favorite is the duck in pancakes and crispy seaweed...oh lovely.
Lytham House Chinese TakeAway – BlackpoolVery Disappointing! Restaurant itself is nice, staff friendly and helpful...Food very overpriced! and Over Cooked! Would not recommend!!
Marsh Mill Tavern – Thornton-CleveleysWe went for a meal last night - SUPERB!!!!! The food was lovely (we had scallops & seared beef, chicken ceasar salad, suckling pig) and although not a huge menu, it was difficult to choose from such a great selection!!! By the time we'd had starter and main course, we only had room left for coffee, but the sweet menu looked very nice too. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the service was just right - not too slow, or being rushed. We cant wait to go again, and would definitely recommend Kwizeen to anyone!!!!!
Kwizeen Bistro – BlackpoolTwelve, a patch of culinary heaven right here on earth... oh that it was nearer to the South of England - you LUCKY Northerners! Everything about Twelve is just startlingly brilliant. The food is the best I have ever experienced in a restaurant and the same goes for the welcome 'front of house'. You can tell that Caroline and Paul really love their restaurant and have great pride in delivering the very best of everything. How great to have locally sourced produce so tastily prepared. The 'bad' aspect of Twelve?.. that we folk in the South can't visit it as often as we would like if it was nearer to us!! Well done Twelve... the very very best of all that is good dining in Great Britain.
Twelve – Thornton-CleveleysVisited the farmhouse for the first time tonight,(we are local so don't know why we haven't been before!) The setting was beautiful, the food was glorious, the staff were lovely, and, I can not believe the quality of the house Shiraz! Will most definitely be returning!!!!!
Rigbys Farmhouse Restaurant – FreckletonWent to the Ghurka for the first time after reading reviews on this website. This is a brilliant little restaurant and it really stood out as something different for the area. The buffet is eat all you can and has a great selection of Chinese, Indian, Oriental and there's also loads of starters too. Go there!
Gurkha Hotel, Restaurant and Bar – BlackpoolI don't know what all the fuss is about with China Red. It is clearly only aimed at getting big parties of people in who get a bit too drunk at the weekend. The food quality is not very consistent I have been around a dozen times and it is never the same. Also the service slips when it gets busier. When compared with other venues nearby I always feel let-down by the staff. And my worst gripe is the rice - it's all clumpy and at times cold. There are plenty of other restaurants to try in Poulton so if you are looking for quality then try elsewhere.
China Red – Poulton-Le-FyldeWent for dinner with my family the other week and had a great time. The waiters are fantastic! They are very friendly and very charming, and make a great change from the moody waiters you see in most restaurants. The atmosphere is really good too, and although it isn't the biggest restaurant in the area, it is definitely the best. Food was good too, they cook pizzas just the way I like them - thin and cripsy. I'll be going back definitely recommend.
La Piazza 2 – BisphamThis is a great little takeaway near Poulton. I've been going for years! The best thing on the menu is the Ribs with Salt & Pepper with Garlic..I don't know where they get them from but they are soo meaty. Well done Furamar keep up the good work.
Furamar, The – BlackpoolWent to the Outside Inn Blackpool for a meal last Friday lunchtime (30th May 2008) We have just moved into an office in the Business Park next to the pub, and this was going to be a regular lunchtime dining venue for us...not anymore!! To start with service was slow, and even though it is pretty obvious that most people in there were office workers on a lunch 'hour'....there seemed no hurry to get your order, or bring out your food and drinks. But the main problem was that I ordered a vegetarian lasagne off the specials board, when this finally arrived, about half an hour after ordering, I has horrified to discover it was a meat lasagne. After pointing this to the waitress, she offered me another veggie lasagne. I declined this offer as I was due back in work and not feeling hungry anymore, but she insisted it "will only take 2 minutes to heat up." Funny that as the original order took half an hour to come out. I really wasn't hungry anymore but in the end I agreed to get a quick salad. Everyone else finished their meal and my salad still hadn't arrived 15 minutes later, and I was feeling ill so I went out to get some fresh air. A couple of minutes later one of my group came out and told me not to bother going back in as the waitress just bought me out a Chicken salad!! Fair enough I can understand the mix up with the lasagne was a genuine mistake, but then to give a chicken salad to a veggie was an insult to me and deeply offensive to me and my beliefs. To make matters even worse when the rest of my group tried to settle the bill they were given a discount of a couple of pounds only. Only after some negotiation did they get a £5 reduction on the total bill and no real apology. Even though I was the only veggie in the group, everyone who I was with was shocked about the customer service we received and the lack of knowledge from restaurant staff about my vegetarian dietary requirements. Which is something everyone working in the catering trade should be aware of.
Plum Tree Farm – BlackpoolWith excellent views and fabulous local produce all home produced on the premises. What more can one ask for? Well great gardens, walks rare breed animals to get up close to this place has something for everyone. Their cake and scones are just fab.
Cobble Hey Farm and Gardens – Garstangme and my friend went here on friday 30th may, we weren't sure what to expect but when we walked in we were very surprised that the interior design was so modern and attractive. we were sat in the waiting area and given the main menu and the special menu to be told that there were no mussels available which was a bit of a let down as this would have been our first choice. i had stuffed mushrooms to start and my friend charlie had goats cheese, the starters were cooked and presented to a very high standard and we were very pleased. we then moved on to our main course and we both ordered a pizza, i don't like spicy food and made the mistake of getting pepperoni on mine, but my friend enjoyed hers and nearly ate it all!!! thanks all for a great meal we will be back soon.
