Paramount Chinese Restaurant – BlackpoolI travel 88 miles to eat here; Fair Trade foods freshly cooked to order For breakfast one gets sausages & bacon dry cured so its' not boiled when cooking! A family run cafe/restaurant where service is as good as the food and the prices are modest. Home cooked pies, roasts and real coffee make this an essential part of any visit to Garstang
The Coffee Pot – GarstangThe best fish and chips I have had in years. I have been several times this year and would recommend it to anyone. On one visit this Summer Fred Talbot, ITV'S weatherman was in there eating fish and chips. Its definitely worth a visit. The milky coffee is also the best around. Its open throughout the Winter!
Ferry Cafe, The – FleetwoodWe try to get to the Bilash at least once a fortnight. We have been to Indian restaurants all over the country and we can honestly say the Bilash is one of the best. The portions are very generous and good value for money. Check out the Chicken Shashlick, highly recommended.
Bilash Balti – St. Annes-On-SeaI have eaten at Margherita's several times over the years and can honestly say i have never had a bad meal there & the service is always the best. I often go for the early bird too, which is just as high quality - much better than the food/service you ever get at Tiggi's!
Margherita – St. Annes-On-SeaThe Queens Arms was recently taken over by Stephen Mitchell who has made much needed changes including re decorating, Plasma Screens, Heated smoking areas and a whole new catering kitchen with great "pub grub" style menu which has a good traditional feel. The price and service is great and they will try to meet your needs IE if its not on the menu but they can make it, they will!. They do great traditional home made Sunday lunch which is all freshly home made and available as a roast barm! so why not pop in to try it out its great atmosphere, good food, Company.... Enjoy!!!
Queens Arms, The – KirkhamThe Moghul and undergone a refurb and has a much more modern and contempory vibe. As usual the service was excellent, fronted by host with the most Danny. The menu range has increased. Cleverly the Moghul tries out new dished by giving them as complimentary accompaniments. Those that work are then added to the menu. We tried some side dishes that we had never had, lentils and ochre which were great! We washed it all down with a nice Chianti and Kingfisher beer. If you want an Indian meal in St.Annes this is definitely the place!
Moghul Tandoori Restaurant – St. Annes-On-Seaowned by the same people who own woodheads cafe so you know its going to be good!
Coffee Pot – BlackpoolFish was perfect (Hake) its nice to see a "FISH" and chip shop without a kebab in sight. Perfect with passion for Britains Favourite. Keep up the excellent work.
Seniors – Blackpoolthe service was very good and the food is very nice to i thought the price was a bit higher than every other restaurant but in a small quiet area i suppose they would have to put up prices to meet there goals but i would recommend it i thought it was very nice food .
Woo Sang Chinese Takeaway – Blackpoolwe visit the highlands quite often and have always had an excellent meal, quality fresh local produce, great menu, the chef consistently produces fantastic food which reflects his great enthusiasm, decor is modern ,welcoming & exceptionally clean! & with a separate dining area you can relax, its more like a good restaurant with a great choice of beers, wines, staff are polite, friendly, what more can we say!
The Highlands – BisphamThe No 3 has gone extremely downhill over the past couple of years. The service is very poor, the staff just simply don't care. No Manager in sight! There is a strong aroma of urine in the pub, they had no wine glasses left to which I was given tumblers to drink my wine, they never have any ice & I can guarantee they never have what you want on the food menu. The toilets are disgusting!
The Crown – BlackpoolGreat Food, Great atmosphere, just great ! oh forgot to mention that Singha beer is Great as well. well worth the drive to get there Paul, Preston
Banthai – St. Annes-On-SeaWe have eaten at the Sunam many times before and often eat there when we visit Blackpool from our home base in Manchester. Our most recent visit in early November 2007 coincided with a Saturday night trip to see the lights etc. As usual the Sunam produced great food and great service. Unfortunately the evening was slightly marred by the incredibly bad mannered behaviour of a young Asian couple who were seated at an adjacent table. From the moment they arrived to the moment they departed, it seemed that nothing was right for them. The service wasn't fast enough, the food wasn't good enough, the bill wasn't right etc etc. First of all they delayed ordering for ages, the waiter having to come back several times. Next the food didnt arrive quickly enough for them. They changed the order a couple of times. When it did come, they had an arguement with the waiter about whether it was correct, whether it was cooked the right way etc etc. Eventually when they got the bill, they launched into a lengthy debate about whether it was right or wrong,,then accused the staff of being abusive and rude, said that they were both Doctors and should not have to put up with this, and eventually left after stoppping at the door to engage in further debate. My opinion is that the staff acted in a very reasonable way considering the extreme provocation from these two. They did say they would post a review on the internet and ruin the restaurants reputation. I thought i'd beat them to it. The best thing these two fools can do is eat at home. The reputation of this establishment is well known. See previous posts.
Sunam Tandoori – BisphamFound the fish to be very bland and tasteless, chips perfect. will not be going back big let down after reading other reviews. I had Haddock my wife had Jon Dory. Both tasted the same no taste at all.
Seniors – BlackpoolCannot fault this chip restaurant, top class would recommend, well worth the drive to Fleetwood.
Pisces Fish and Chips – FleetwoodWe recently visited this restaurant last week in fact, to find that it was very pleasant and the son served us, during our conversation he told us that they have been there since May this year, I have to say that we have been to many a fish "N" chip restaurant in Blackpool and I personally found this one to be the most tasty fish of them all, I would say that this was definitely fish from Scotland and not local, it was without doubt the best and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this part of Blackpool or well worth the drive. We had Haddock and asked for it to be well done delicious. Ten out of Ten.
