Owd Nell’s Tavern – GarstangWe were in the Tithe Barn on Saturday and came back on Tuesday for a meal. Didn't realise it was quiz night. Not really our thing. Had a super meal. Great service. Chilled atmosphere. We only saw 2 members of staff all night. The girl on the food and a lady serving at the bar. We didn't compete in the quiz but wish we had it was a great night. Best laugh we have had in a long time. Everyone joined in and supported Shannon (I think her name was) it was her first time at presenting the quiz. Her and the other lady on the bar were a great double act. Everyone had a great night. She should be resident quiz mistress. We are still laughing. Thank you girls. Wish we could give you 10/10
Th’Owd Tithe Barn – GarstangExcellent meal on my 70 th birthday on Boxing day enjoyed by all.
The Sparling Barton – GarstangAn enjoyable experience at the Horns Inn Garstang last night. A very pleasant looking pub that was immaculate. The food was good, portions large and therefore great value. Lots of promotions running.
Horns Inn – GarstangGreat meal at Pipers Restaurant last night!
Pipers – GarstangVisited the pub for a meal on my daughters birthday. Pub looks really nice inside and out, the food and service was brilliant. We (all 3) of us really enjoyed all ourfood and wewould def visit again, as my daughter attends Myerscough College and we are from the Tameside area (1 hour) away, so its great to know where we can go for good food, good service and very good cost.
Boars Head Country Pub – GarstangVisited Thorpey's tonight 27th sept 2015, food was excellent, fresh and tasty, and staff were also excellent and very friendly. Will definitely be returning. Thanks Corrado vr6.
Thorpeys – GarstangSORRY TO SAY THIS BUT WE HAVE BEEN USING THE GARSTANG RESTAURANT SINCE IT FIRST OPENED. ON SUNDAY 23 AUGUST THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE NO TASTE TO THE FISH THE CHIPS LOOKED AND TASTED LIKE THEY HAD BEEN RE-FRIED. WHEN I COMPLAINED WE WERE GIVEN ANOTHER PLATE OF SO CALLED FRESH CHIPS THESE WERE EQUALLY AS BAD. WHEN I WAS THEN TOLD BY THE LADY SERVING THAT THE FAT NEEDED CHANGING BUT I WAS STILL CHARGED THE FULL AMOUNT £17-50, SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE WITH THE QUALITY AND THE ATITUDE. ALSO PORTION SIZES HAVE SHRUNK DRAMATICALLY. R HOLLMAN
Thorpeys – GarstangWe have dined many times individually but also in a 'fellowship' group. We have NEVER been disappointed the food is consistently of excellent quality and the value is the best around.
Royal Oak Hotel – GarstangLove eating here, as pubs used to be and should be. Great location in the centre of Garstang. Hope it doesn't change.
Royal Oak Hotel – GarstangNot the best fish and chips by far! Chips extremely soggy and fish was raw in the middle. Too late to complain by the time we got home as they had closed. I would highly recommend Garstang fish and chips Further up Much fresher and tastier!
Lightly Battered – GarstangThe food used to be lovely but whether it is a change of chef or something, I don't know but after giving several chances, I certainly will not be returning. This latest meal was inedible. The fish was black and so rubbery it could bounce and the chips were literally rotten with eyes. They were also not interested in why the meal was uneaten. Thankfully the chippy in Garstang is excellent, so my custom will be taken there.
Thorpeys – Garstang22 of us came for a delicious meal on Monday it was served up very hot. Waitresses looked after us well and we were very happy with all the experience. Thank you.
Royal Oak Hotel – GarstangJust got back from the Grapes, called as an off chance on a Sunday, car park had a few cars on but the place was nearly empty. It was a cold day, and there heating wasn't up to much, but the food was very good, Steak was a bit stringy, bery nice chicken and beef burger and the beer, hand-pumps was Worsthorne Real ales. Both well kept. Needs a bit bore athmosphere and a bit warmer, but l would go again.
The Grapes at St Michaels – GarstangOn Thursday 23rd. Nov. four adults booked a table at your establishment, we were offered "small portions" as we were not too hungry. On receiving the bill we were informed that "small portions" meant a reduced cost of only 10% we questioned this and were told that this was company policy!! We have no complaints about your staff or food quality, however we shall not be visiting the NEW HOLLY again as this is the second time that we have had reason to complain and Garstang has better dining opportunities to offer. I went to Owd Nell's today with two friends, celebrating a friends birthday. We all had a lovely meal and drinks, the service was very good with friendly polite staff. We are looking at having our works Christmas party there this year.
Owd Nell’s Tavern – GarstangThis cafe has delicious home cooked food, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Freshly made filter coffee is £1 to take out -beat that Costa.
The Coffee Pot – GarstangThis restaurant pub serves Foie Gras so I will not be patronising them again. Have they no idea of the cruelty involved in producing Foie Gras????
Horns Inn – Garstang
