Yee Man TakeAway – Glasgowit was rubbish little portions staff couldn't wait too take plates off you chicken tasted more like rabbit had horrible smell too it wouldn't recommend it too my worse enemy
China Sea Restaurant – GlasgowReally enjoyed our meal in this newly opened restaurant.Warm welcome from the staff and owner. Food on menu was of traditional Scottish flavours, very reasonably priced and of a high standard. So was the service from Claire Starter and main course were ample helpings but the home made jam roll with custard and fresh raspberries was delicious and finished of a very enjoyable meal. We strongly recommend a visit to anyone wanting a quality meal in pleasant surroundings. John and Elaine
Black Sheep Bistro – GlasgowFood is really lovely - can't beat the chicken tikka. Deffo value for money
India Palms – GlasgowAgra Indian in Glasgow Anniesland is Fantastic. Great food brilliant service overall a lovely experience
Agra – GlasgowWould NOT RECOMMEND! My wife and I went to Snooks for lunch one day. Upon arrival everything went well, we were seated, given both the regular menu as well as the light bite menu. We both had ordered the sirloin steak medium well, I asked for steak and chips only. The server did not write down our order, told the chef,(if you can call him that) our order, anyone who has been there knows the kitchen is within earshot of the tables, we distinctly heard our server say medium rare. As the server passed I politely asked him if the steaks we ordered will be medium well, he replied yes. We got our lunch, and to our dismay, there was everything I didn't want on right there on my plate, except the chips that i did not receive, I sent it back. My wife then cut into her steak and found it to be medium rare, just at this point my steak returned, and it to was medium rare! We sent them back, the chef, began to use profane language, stating what the f*** is wrong now?, what the f*** do they want this time?! Unacceptable! We were so put off by the whole experience, we will NEVER be going back. I would also advise anyone else to think twice about going!
SJ @ Snooks – GlasgowUsed to be a great atmosphere after the Celtic home games, with big Frank Breen the resident singer. Unfortunately, the management decided to bump Frank and now it's just another bland city bar with no heart !!
Failte – GlasgowAnarkali best curry house in Glasgow bar none and I have been about
Anarkali Indian – Glasgowhad a lovely lunch a few weeks ago, and staff were very nice
Bank, The – GlasgowStaff are very friendly and make you feel welcomed and relaxed a great atmosphere and food is great quality and delicious i used to go to Langside College across the road from Battlefield Rest and as a student i did not have that much money but i used to go to Battlefield Rest nearly every lunch time with my college friends who were really surprised on how good the food is. I went today with my mother and i thought they food was even better you can not beat getting two meals plus a drink for £11.00 I highly recommend it to people that have not been before its fantastic!
Battlefield Rest – Glasgowthe best nosh out even my kids love it its our favourite restaurant. I'm going on Saturday.
Panda Chinese Cuisine – GlasgowExcellent service from the staff of Malmaison in Glasgow. Apparently this was the first of the boutique hotels and restaurants in the group. We all enjoyed different steaks in their subterranean bistro. The wine list was very well stocked and we had a couple of French reds that were on offer. Perfect location for exploring the City of Glasgow too. Hopefully we will return.
Chez Mal Brasserie – GlasgowHad birthday celebration here and was delighted with the evening. Well prepared, well presented and well priced food.Waiting staff friendly and attentive.I have now booked an anniversary meal there.Tricia.
Mailcoach – GlasgowWhere to start. . . . the fantastic value for money....the friendly welcoming atmosphere....the outstanding portion sizes. or simply the high quality, wonderful tasting dishes this Indian offers? For us the Anarkali is something we have both grown up with, recommended by several family members from different generations who have frequented the restaurant since it opened. As a result the staff have become a surrogate family themselves! As previous reviews have mentioned other more modern, 'trendier' Indian restaurants across Glasgow have disappointed on several occasions. Nowhere ever seems to be able to meet the high standard of service or great tasting variety of dishes available on offer at this South Side eatery. But don't just take our word for it - go try it yourself! Oh and one last word of advice - book in advance if you plan on going on a weekend as it's always packed......need we say more?!
Anarkali Indian – GlasgowNot sure about this place. Soup was ok but main not great.Perhaps because it was a monday night or perhaps because they get a high turnover of non regulars.
Mings – Glasgowwe don't want to recommend the Anarkali because we want to keep it to ourselves. Fantastic food, really friendly staff and BYOB - what more can you want? Been to many other Indian restaurants but none come near it for quality and value. Please don't redecorate - we like the 70s decor!
Anarkali Indian – GlasgowI could no disagree more with the review. When we arrived, the waitress, who we later found out to be the owner, shouted to the young bar man, " customers, the door". He obliged, and we were sat very awkwardly on one of the two cramped leather sofas immediately in front of the bar, where we were served a drink before dinner. After 20 mins, and once the owner had finished gossiping with two other customers, she acknowledged our presence, even though we were sat less than 1 metre away. She took our food order, and the bar boy showed us to our table. Apart from the fact that one of us had to sit on what I consider, uncomfortable pub bonkette seating, the table was fine. My pate starter, which was very flavoursome, was served with toasted pan bread with the crusts partly trimmed, why I dont consider acceptable in an establishment which boasts its menu, and a salad of shredded things which looked like it had fallen out of a bag. The cumberland sauce accompaniment was a sweet pink sauce, made from what im not sure. The other starter of pork belly, was very nice. Nicely cooked and flavoursome. My main of Braised Lamb Shank, hadn't been braised in the sweet red sauce which it sat in, possibly cooked in the oven, however the sauce had not a trace or a taste of any thing like the onions, garlic and other ingredients it should have. The bed of mash was dry, not creamy, and lumpy. The other main of Venison was beautifully cooked. It sat in the same red sauce which had been slightly tweeked and tasted marginally different. We selected a 2007 Australian Merlot which was very nice. We didn't have desert or coffee, however we did mention all of the above to the waitress who was eager to let chef know. We never heard back, and we saw chef leave just before 10 as there were only five tables of two at the evening siting. Apparently Mitchell's is a very kitchen orientated restaurant, and if chef or the owners consider it ok, then its fine. We were disappointed to say the least as we had been looking forward to the evening and I'm not surprised the staff were unhelpful, unhappy and did not smile, and the owner didn't seem to bother either. The wine (£18), two drinks and two courses each cost £74.50. We didn't think it value for money.
Mitchells Restaurant – GlasgowI was introduced to the Anerkali experience by my daughter for whom the Anerkali is her local restaurant. The service, the quality & quantity of the food is tremendous. The restaurant is a compact and homely environment where so many are regulars and like me having tasted the anerkali experience once are instantly smitten and return again and again. (Trulysmitten)
